We arrived at around 5:30 and was told there was a 25 minutes wait time. We were seated one hour later. We found out that they have "team service" which explains why you can see servers are all over the place. Regardless, They were all nice and very welcoming. Place has plenty of seating. We ordered a Caesar salad, spaghetti meatball, cheese pizza, OTC pizza and the Jackie luna. Everything was flavorful, our experience would have been better if we were able to get in and out a little quicker.

Yumm yumm yumm, wow why did it take me so long to find this pizza spot. We ordered the bread and burrata and it is amazing. We also got a Margarita pizza, a Classic pepperoni, and Pammy pizza so good. The burrata tomato was so beautiful thank you. I will be back for that alone, everything was amazing. When you are around d Kolb and Speedway definitely stop by in the evening for dinner. The inside was nicely decorated with lots of tables and a cute bar.

The Pizza is to die for and memorable. It's been a long time since I have a new constant craving. Penelope surpassed my expectations. The crust wasn't too thin. The topping was plentiful. The price point is more expensive but well worth the savory flavors. Every bite was delicious. The service was okay but we had one server who was a shinning star and was just great! Even boxed our food. The area is a little loud and close together so be prepared. Only thing I have to note was dessert was good but for me I love extremely sweet dessert. It was very good but not my taste. The cream was very mild which I think was unique and different to more traditional. Just wasn't my taste. To be honest even with that it was amazing dinner. I will definitely be back!

Holding true to our 2026 plan another never before visit, this time to Penelope wood fired pizza. We arrived promptly at 3 pm as we were advised to do, as we had reservations our table was already set with a cold decanter of water awaiting. Our server came right over and took our drink order and provider her suggestions to us first timers. We started with the 3 meatball shareable plate. Man what an experience. Soft tender meatballs perfectly seasoned with a robust sauce that compliments the seasoning of the meat ball. The speed of service absolutely incredible, we had barely finished the meatballs when 2 pizzas and a plate of lasagna arrived. My son never looked up from his lasagna, a HUGE 10 layer lasagna with oodles of meat and cheese in delicious Penelope house sauce with perfectly cooked al dente noodles. He got one to go. Ok so did I. My Pizza, the SGT pepper, light airy crust , garlic oil, smoked mozz, green chilies, a delicious house made sausage and a hot honey drizz. This is an amazing combination of flavors. Mom's pizza, The Nina. Same delectable crust, house red sauce, mozz, ezzo pepperoni, sausage, sweet bell pepper and onion. Another amazing combination. The only down fall, my mother said it was too salty. The staff was amazing! Benny and Sierra were friendly, informative and prompt and a credit to this great establishment. It is easy to see why Penelope has been top 50 in the U.S. for three years running. You want your pizza done right, you have to give Penelope a go.

What a dream. I did not visit Penelope back in their food truck days but for quite some time now They have been on my must-go list. Yes it took quite a long time. The pizza is fantastic, really perfect. Tucson is fortunate to have this establishment. We went on a Friday around 5:30 and they were quite busy. Got on the list and were seated in 10 minutes, and that surely can be different at busier times. Staff was very nice and inviting. Got the meatballs (fantastic), O.T.C pizza (fantastic) and the Pammy pizza (fantastic and actually a surprise).

Today was a good day. I moved to Tucson not long ago, and have not found many places that I like yet. I came here not expecting much but the restaurant was really cute and the staff was so friendly and understanding. I made a mistake and showed up an hour early because I misheard. They rushed my order and never gave attitude. The place was packed and now I know why. Got home with my pizza and it was Amazing! Super fresh and taste was delicious! My husband couldn't wait and stole a piece before i could take a photo. We had the Adambam it was a 10/10 . I will be back and I love the staff so much. Thank you for yummy food and nice experience for my fist time at the restaurant.

The pizza is thin and crispy and delicious

Brought sister and BIL here after my brother and I raved about it. They loved. In two visits total, we have had great meatballs, good salads, great cocktails, excellent chicken parm, great pizzas (until someone wants hot honey drizzled on one - I don't get it, but that's me), and always good service. The ONLY thing we've had and would not order again is the 10-layer lasagna. I think we ended up with the vegetarian version. Noodles were al dente or almost. My idea of lasagna is a comfort food with fully cooked noodles, layered with LOTs of cheese, so this dish was not that.

I cannot believe how disappointing my visit was considering Penelope's is on Yelp's Top 100 list. I called to have our pizza ready by a certain time because my guy and I were on a roadtrip and wanted to get our food fast. I showed up, paid, and was not provided with any update as to where my food was until I had been waiting around for 10 mins. The staff had no issues with standing around chitchatting, though. Nearly 30 mins after the time I had requested my pizza be ready at, I finally got it. There was basically no apology from the staff for the long wait either. We got the Sgt Pepper pizza (sub prosciutto for house sausage, add mushrooms and bell pepper) and the Olive Oil Cake. The pizza crust tasted like burnt butter, they cheaped out on the ingredients, sad amount of prosciutto (there wasn't even a piece of prosciutto on each slice), couldn't taste the hot honey drizzle or the green chili salt. The cake was find, but nothing to rave about. Honestly, my guy and I agreed that nothing about the pizza was enjoyable and it was definitely not worth the delay they caused us in our trip. They have a lot to work on in my book and I have zero desire to come back.

We tried couple of time to dine in but it always pack. So last night we decided to order togo. The process of order until picked up is ok. Pizza was ready when we get there. Parking was busy but still ok. When we get home, we open the box, the Pizza was burnt on the edge and bottom. The taste was ok, not really special or something else.

Update 3/25- continues to be amazing. They are delightful and greet everyone who is coming in as though they are long-lost friends. The food is soo good! Bread and friends is still a fav and one MUST save room for the chocolate budino. But of course there is everything in between- unique flavor combos on the pizzas, fresh pasta and cute cocktails! No surprise they are among Tucson Yelp Elites top 25!

While it's a busy spot with a little of a wait (maybe just on weekend evenings), it is so worth it. We loved the bread and marinara appetizer, the hot honey pizza with ricotta or burrata and the pineapple drizzle pizza. Service was very friendly and we appreciated the heaters outside. A level up from so many of the other (still very good) homemade pizza spots in town!

    Kristine M.

Finally got here! They have bizarre hours and every time we wanted to go they were closed. Then they got the Yelp top 100 restaurant award and it was always packed! We came around 5:30 and got a table right away and when we left there was a lot of people waiting. This spot never seems to last but I hope Penelope's does. We had the Figgy Piggy, OTC and burrata and tomato. Everything was very tasty my only negative would be the crust was a bit too burnt for my liking but I know that's what happens with wood fired. The staff revolves around to each table so everyone can help you.

Pizza looks like I'd only comes in one size. Know what it is?

I believe you're correct that they are all one size. The wood fire pizzas are rightly 10"-12" and 6 slices each.

    Is there a happy hour?

Yes, I was there about two weeks ago and I remember some of the appetizers being discounted, but I can't remember the exact hours or the alcohol deals.

Are Penelope's pizzas thin or thick crust?

We were seated right away since it wasn't busy, and things started off simple enough with bread and oil. We asked for parmesan to go with it, and our server seemed unsure how to respond, eventually bringing out packet parm even though fresh was clearly available. Not a huge deal, but we found it odd. A little later, we asked for more bread. The server told us they were out but, "that they could probably make more". . He relayed it to the woman handling bread, who then made more for another table and skipped us entirely. He mentioned it again to her when he saw us looking in their direction. she looked over, and still nothing. It was awkward, since the restaurant is the size of a closet. Once the pizza came, we got up ourselves to ask for more oil and parmesan, since our waiter hadn't come to check back. We got the oil instantly since we brought us the bowl, but no parmesan. At one point my son asked for bread, again, finally it came and the server literally tossed it on the table without a word. We said thank you and he completely ignored all of us. It didn't get any better from there. The bill was dropped on the table without a word either. My husband and I kept looking at each other with confused looks. We turned the bill in with our CC, and once the server returned it, same thing, not a single interaction. We also watched the same server make another table feel like an inconvenience over something as simple as asking for a bottle of Coke instead of a can. The customer ended up backing down just to avoid the hassle. The server then told the guest, "it's fine, I can get it for you!" On top of that, staff were wearing gloves while handling food, but also touching chairs, phones, and other surfaces; kind of defeats the purpose I think? My boys also had a weird interaction with a staff near the bathrooms who was very rude to them and accused them of cutting the line, despite no one waiting. It was very strange. Bottom line: the food is incredible, no question. But the service was so bad it's hard to ignore. Best advice, get it to go and skip the experience inside.

Came about a year ago and it was one of my favorites so had to come back and check! Glad to see the huge pizza oven is still going strong and the service staff was all friendly and welcoming! Ordered: - Caesar salad: decent flavor, greens weren't very fresh though (browning ends of lettuce) - Margherita DOP: unbeaten classic. More basil would have helped the balance but all in all still good - Diavola + Arugula + Calabrian chili: the added greens and chili made each bite just a little fresher. - Carne: as expected, there was a good amount of meat. Unfortunately, the amount of grease left the pie very soggy. Still good flavor. - Carbonara: Egg was a good add to flavor but the texture was very rubbery. Decent white pie but also sits very heavy compared to the others - Piccante: nice and spicy All in all, a good experience for pies in the Tucson area. All the pies were good but felt like something was missing in each one. Unfortunately, didn't stack up to the previous experience here. Cheers, Pizza Fiamme!

We started with the ABG salad that surprised me because I'm usually not a big fan of Gorgonzola, but the combination of green apple, pecan brittle, and cheese worked really well together and made for a great balance of flavors. For the pizza, we ordered the mushroom pizza and added pepperoni. The sauce was excellent I believe was some sort of a garlic/oil white sauce the mushroom portion was generous which I absolutely love, and the crust was exactly what I look for crunchy on the outside while still soft and slightly sweet inside. My only minor complaint with the toppings is that the $4 pepperoni add on felt a bit light, we only had a 2 or 3 slices per piece. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that our pizza was just slightly overcooked. The bottom was charred all the way around; wasn't burnt to the point of sending it back, but definitely left in the oven a minute or two longer than it needed to be. It wasn't busy when we visited, and it seemed like the employee rotating pizzas was a little more focused on chatting with FOH coworkers than keeping an eye on the oven. I've worked in pizza restaurants for nearly a decade, so I may be a bit more particular than most customers. Realistically, if our pizza had come out even a minute earlier, it would have been a 10/10 meal. That said, I enjoyed my visit and will definitely be back. The quality is there, and I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu in the future.

Food arrived just 15 min later and was piping hot and delicious. The lasagna is a good sized portion (roughly 5x7) and is generously filled with meat. Roughly 2 dozen toppings are available, ranging from $3-$8+. I opted for the meatballs ($8.50) and was slightly disappointed. The meatballs are crumbled within the calzone (understandable) but not pronounced in quantity. I would prefer larger pieces (halves work at this size - after all I ordered meat-ball not meet-ground ;) However, for $8 (a 75% upcharge) my chief gripe is that I was simply expecting more. I enjoyed trying it here but will probably not get it more than once at that price per serving size. They serve it with cheese typically but I asked for no cheese to make it vegan. The guy that took my order at the window seemed very confused/ weirded out when I asked if they charge a fee to pay with credit card. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!

The #6 is always a win, but I love that you can turn pretty much any pizza into a vegan version. This time I went with the #6 (tomato sauce, kale, cremini mushrooms, eggplant, pesto, parmesan) and it hit as usual. Had to grab a vegan cannoli on their menu by Houlden's too. Fun fact: I actually did some plumbing in the building they're in, so it's extra cool seeing the spot thriving. Great food, great people, always a solid choice.

Ordering was simple and our wait time was surprisingly short, only 20 minutes. We ordered one pie, half white pizza and half peppers and mushrooms. I am glad they offer this as an option, for easy-sharing, but know there is a significant upcharge for doing so. Our one pizza after tax (before tip) was $42. This is really expensive and even though I had a gift card, I didn't feel the food was worth the cost. The cook on our pie was perfect this time and the crust is really good, but I'm hesitant to return at this price point. If you do go, I highly recommend ordering a whole pie so you know you are getting fresh pizza- the slices are repeatedly dried out or burnt.
