Great food! Open to the public! Didn't need a reservation. Zak made us chicken fried steak.

We had a 15-20 min wait on a busy Tuesday night but we're glad we waited! Our server was friendly and helpful with choosing cocktails because they had a to. Of unique selection. Haven't ordered more than one at a restaurant before but had to try two here! We thoroughly enjoyed our final selections of Ginny from the Block, Garden era, strawberry bourbon smash and Blackberry goose beer! For our mains we got the alaskan cod and chips and Blackened cod tacos and loved it all. They really know how to prepare tasty cod! The Alaskan cod and chips had the perfect crispy texture and my blackened cod tacos had all the flavor profiles you need. A hint of heat in the Thai chili slaw with a creamy avocado, Crema and the brightness of mango salsa and of course a touch of sour with the HOUSE made pickled red onions. Even better they let me substitute corn tortillas in for the flour. But you can't mix and match your proteins. I didn't need to because I loved both of my blackened cod tacos. The atmosphere is in the name: cozy Gastropub. They have a plethora of beers on tap, but parking is solely on the street so a little bit more challenging than picking your beer but I don't think it would be too challenging if you're up for a small walk. We were able to walk from our Airbnb, so didn't have to figure that part out. Pretty sure it was farther than any walk you might have to do for parking!

The food itself was a little underwhelming and overpriced for what it was. The roast beef on the pub dip was not fresh and lacked flavor. My fiancé took a couple bites and couldn't finish. The blackened cod tacos were fine but also lacked flavor and seemed more corn and onion than fish. I would recommend the poutine fries and clam chowder.

In my opinion, this place doesn't even deserve one star. I was a regular customer for over 10…read moreyears, but I'll never be back. The bartender, Lucy, repeatedly added money to the tip jar without asking, which left me feeling like my money was being taken without my consent. The food has also gone downhill, and the area around the bathrooms consistently smelled like urine. The biggest reason I won't return is the new security guard. Based on my own experience, he previously came into the bar when he didnt work there and frequently made young women uncomfortable by hitting on freshly 21-year-old customers and staring at people from the corner and makeing nasty comments . Now he's working security and using his phone while checking IDs, which did not make me feel comfortable. I know this man and im not letting him take photos of my id for his stash. The atmosphere has completely changed. What used to feel like a neighborhood bar now feels like an over-policed club. Security constantly follows customers around, making it impossible to relax and enjoy yourself. On top of that, the security guard regularly smokes in the entrance, blowing cigarette smoke toward customers as they walk in. It's unprofessional and creates a terrible first impression. From what I personally observed, many of the other employees seemed frustrated with the behavior of these two staff members as well. After more than a decade of being a loyal customer, I'm extremely disappointed in what this place has become. I can't recommend it to anyone. There are plenty of better bars that treat their customers with respect.

Their tap list is weak. Their drink program is uncreative and unremarkable. The environment is smelly, dated, and uninteresting. They are primarily a sports bar. It's a place to watch tv. The food is not good. Greasy and generic. But the service is excellent, and they have decent pool tables... There you go.

I have lived in Port Angeles for many years and have been very happy to see the improvements in the food quality since the new owners took over. The place is often full, so those two must have come on an off night, or morning. The Lounge is enjoyable with live music and a friendly bartender. Chris has worked there for very many years. She is a wonderful server. Don't let those two reviews fool you. Several service clubs have their weekly meetings here, and are always happy with the food and service.

When we arrived for breakfast and asked for a table for 8, the hostess got visibly upset and acted like she didn't want to seat us. As a former server, I understand a big table is stressful when you're short staffed (which seems to be a chronic issue at Joshua's) but it's not okay to make your customers feel bad for patronizing your business. The short staffing conditions at the restaurant seem to be really hard on the servers and I really feel for them. It's not easy to serve a full restaurant and host at the same time with only two people. I think that things would run much smoother if the owners would hire more staff, it would certainly create a much better experience for everyone. Anyway, once we had our table it took a very long time to place our orders, and once our food arrived things were missing and orders were incorrect. Additionally, some of the food was undercooked and other food was super overcooked. We also overheard customers at another table remarking on their food being improperly cooked. I thought my omelette was cooked properly but apparently not as I am suffering from what seems to be food poisoning.
