My daughter & I visited during restaurant week & it was amazing. The drinks were great, the food was good but the dessert with the meal was terrible. Our waiter made up for that by giving us a turtle cheesecake & it was AMAZING!!! The atmosphere was just right & not too loud!

We came here for Easter brunch. The restaurant was offering a special menu for the holiday that included limited traditional brunch dishes and a larger variety of steak options (3 different kinds). I would've enjoyed more brunch options but could understand the lack of variety since this is a steakhouse! The lighting was low - typical of a steakhouse - and the music felt like a bar with pop remixes on repeat. Our waitress was kind and attentive. Overall it was a fine experience but I don't know if I would return for brunch.

Zucchini appetizer was delicious. Both entrees cooked to perfection and filet was cut with a butter knife. Carrot cake was wonderful. Espresso martini hit the spot. Wonderful service too. Highly recommend.

Honestly it was fine. The tuna tartare was excellent but presentation was strange. Salmon entree was okay. Sea bass was good. Overall fine experience but slightly overpriced for what it offers.

I had my first visit to Peninsula Prime during restaurant week the other week and had a great experience. The location is tucked in the back of a shopping plaza and has plenty of parking. It is elegant inside with bar, booth, and table seating. For my meal I started with the Prime house salad which included euro cucumber, heirloom tomato, red onion, and a vinaigrette dressing. Next, I had the braised short rib entree with goat cheese fregola and baby carrots. Lastly, my favorite part was the red velvet cake with cream cheese icing. It was overall a delicious meal and great service.

Food is great. Everything taste so good and well seasoned. There is a lot of variety and options for everyone to select and of everything. Place doesn't look for big from the outside but there is a lot of seating. Even with it being spacious it doesn't lose its intimate feel. All servers and wait staff are super attentive and friendly. The portions are really large and great for the price point. The sourdough bread is good. I'd wish it was complimentary instead of having to pay 8 dollars. The truffle butter that comes with it is a little overpowering. We all had a variety of items. The oysters were great, prime salad with Champagne vinaigrette delicious, salmon was tasty, prime ribeye was good i heard. I had the Parmesan Crusted Chicken Breast Whipped Potatoes, Green Beans, Beurre Blanc, the beurre sauce was good but a little too much was poured. I would have preferred it drizzle and it also was warm. They don't do larger parties so well, while our appetizers came out warm and on time, our main dish came out cold. We had a pretty late reservation, maybe it was an off night. I will be back though looking forward to it.

Me and hubby stopped by without a reservation for Valentine's Day, after our old faithful restaurant had a special menu with none of our favorites and not suitable for someone with seafood allergies. We hit google maps and found a place still open as it was getting pretty late. They were able to seat us immediately and the place was beautiful inside. We didn't particularly care for where they sat us as there were booths open and available but we were sat in the middle of the floor at a table made for 4. We were hungry so we accepted it. My husband ordered a top shelf Long Island which he didn't like too much but couldn't describe why. I ordered a calamari appetizer which arrived quickly and was superb. We ordered our food at the same time and it quickly followed behind. That calamari was so good I am ready to go back just for that. They did have a special Valentine menu so items were limited. But hubby ordered a warm spinach and mushroom salad topped with a over east egg. He thoroughly enjoyed it and still talks about it. For entree he got steak fried rice and it was delicious. I ordered a medium well steak and creamed spinach. Steak was cooked perfect and tasted well seasoned. Didn't care too much for the spinach flavor was kind of blah. We will return soon, service was great and attentive.

Queens Fest restaurant week which always falls on my mom's and brother's birthday and we wanted to celebrate them. Heard about Peninsula and wanted to give them a try. The place is really nice and clean. Immediately great by a host/hostess. We were actually like 15 mins early but they still sat us down which I truly appreciated. We ordered so much but it was 6 people at the table. We ordered off the Queens Fest menu and also on the regular menu. We started with salads (caesar and wedge), calamari and lobster tacos and Sloppy joes. Everyone raved about how good everything was. My sister truly enjoyed her wedge salad. Entrees came out and at first my mom's food was cold (braised rib and mushroom risotto) however they fixed it immediately and the chef brought it out personally and apologized. My salmon was cooked great and the glaze that came on it was really good. My sweet potatoes were really flavorful. My brothers and sister enjoyed their food (steak and shrimp with mashed potatoes and broccoli and one brother got the duck which was a pasta dish). He doesn't eat pork and forgot to mention no bacon. However it was ok. He truly ate around it bc you could tell where the pork was. The desserts were good and my mom enjoyed the lava cake the most haha. The real kicker was we brought in 2 separate cupcake cakes for my mom and brother who were shocked and the restaurant guests helped sang happy birthday to them!! It was truly amazing. All the staff came by and told them Happy Birthday as well. It was truly amazing and Kaitlyn (sorry if I spelled her name wrong) did an amazing job as our waitress all by herself. I can't wait to return. Oh yeah, the setup is amazing and my brothers were able to also be not too close and not too far to see the football games that were on. Def recommend visiting. You won't be disappointed.

A beautiful interior space! The three of us could not have been mote pleased with our first visit to Peninsula Prime. Our server Angela was a welcoming start to the evening and provided us with insight to the menu options and recommendations when we asked. We each ordered a different glass of Chardonnay and all were to our liking. My husband started with the very good (cold and crisp) Prime Wedge. Our three entrées were Prosciutto Wrapped Cod, Steak & Shrimp Au Poivre and Maple Brown Sugar Salmon. Portions were generous and everything was delicious. For dessert, I ordered Salted Caramel Gelato - Yum! My husband and brother-in-law shared a large split portion of Carrot Cake. We would love to return on our next visit to see family in North Carolina.

Delicious dewer's collins - lemony and not too sweet
    Andi M.

My husband and I tried Peninsula Prime shortly after they opened in the former Alton's space. The food and service were amazing, and we'll definitely be back! We tried a couple of cocktails to start. I had the cucumber martini, and my husband had the dewer's collins. Neither was very sweet (yay!), and both were delicious. For our meal, we tried the shrimp and fried avocado appetizer. The portion was generous, and the shrimp, avocados, and sauce went so well together. For our entrees, I had the verlasso salmon, and my husband had the pan-roasted chicken. Both were low-carb entrees that had incredible flavor. My salmon was cooked a delicious medium-rare, and the cauliflower was roasted perfectly. The chimichurri and lemon sauce complemented this dish quite well. My husband almost got the Nashville hot fried chicken, but said the pan-roasted chicken was an excellent (and healthier!) substitute. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the roasted broccoli, corn, and avocado crema were perfect complements. (I even tried some of the avocado crema with my salmon, and might ask for a side of that to go along with my salmon the next time.) Our server was friendly, helpful, and yet also unobtrusive. The wait between dishes was perfectly timed. If I had one negative, it would be related to the interior space. If you liked the interior of Alton's, you'll appreciate Peninsula Prime's. The interior appeared almost unchanged from Alton's, although we didn't go there very often, so I could be wrong. We were seated in a booth upstairs, overlooking the downstairs dining room. The ceilings were painted black (as I believe they were before), and unfortunately, there was a bright light shining in my face. There was no artwork on the upstairs walls, and I hope they tone down the lighting and spruce it up a bit to make the upstairs dining experience a bit more inviting. The music, however, was hip lounge music that we really enjoyed. Peninsula Prime knocked it out of the park with a varied menu for all types of diners. Thank you for offering several low-carb choices! We loved our food and the service, and will definitely return!

The chicken tenders were big and flavorful. Yet, the fries definitely stole the show. I'm not a fan of shoestring fries, but they were seasoned so well that I didn't mind. While our appetizer and kids' meals came out quickly, our entrees were a little slow to arrive. I ordered the salmon and fries, since I could steal any more from the kiddos. The salmon was a decent portion and seasoned nicely. However, it was slightly over cooked. Overall, the experience was good.

My wife ordered the pecan crusted chicken. The portion was huge, but it stayed really juicy and had a nice crunch on the outside. Easy to split or take leftovers home. Cocktails were great too. The Negroni was well balanced and the blackberry smash was super easy to drink. They had a fried shrimp special (ninja shrimp or something?) and that ended up being one of the best parts of the meal. Crispy, sweet and sour, and a great starter. Solid spot if you're in Mooresville and want a steakhouse that's a little more interesting than the usual options.
