First of all, we ordered two large sandwiches and they only gave us smalls because they rang it up wrong. And you know, considering how long they took to make our food, you'd think they were actually making what we ordered. But nah, they were too busy badmouthing one of the other customers because they thought no one could hear them. Absolutely no regard for the people they're serving, and it shows with the dumb little nickname they put on our order instead of the actual name we gave them. We were a little ways down the road when we looked in our bag and noticed we only got small sandwiches. So we called them and let them know what was up. They looked up the order and instead of correcting their mistake, they brushed us off and just said "hey at least you got what you paid for instead of getting g*pped" and offered to make us what we ordered in the first place for full price. And we were like no dude, not with that attitude. Between the general incompetence and casual racism, we aren't going back this location. This place has gone waaaaay downhill. read more

TERRIBLY ATROCIOUS experience. My fiancee and I ordered two sandwiches, a pizza sub and a grilled club, and they were the most terrible sandwiches we both have ever had, from any restaurant, ANYWHERE! The pizza sub was so greasy, it was dripping out of the wrapper, causing a huge mess. The pizza sub was literally packed full of pepperoni, which wasn't even cooked all the way, if at all. The grilled club we ordered with light oil, was sopping with it, so much so that the bag and the fries were a huge mess. Everything about the food was terrible, my cat could throw up better food. Additionally, the guy working at the subs was so arrogant and disgustingly rude. He said to my fiancee, "what do you want" while waiting for his mobile order. i ordered online and walked straight to the counter to let them know i was here for my order.. just stared at me and didn't say anything for about 5 minutes, then said they still needed to drop the fries which wasn't a problem. manager was sitting on the counter criss cross applesauce with shoes on the surface, just INCHES away from veggies another employee was slicing. service is absolutely TERRIBLE and i will avoid this location at all costs. the sandwich i ordered had little to no sauce and was clearly thrown together poorly. read more

We've been going to this Penn Station for years, and I have to say as the price has gone up, the quality has gone down. The bacon used to be thick sliced and you would get plenty of the meat on the Club. The tomatoes are now very thin sliced and little to no lettuce. My sandwich was a pile of slop when I opened it. When I got there the place was empty and I stilled waited 20 minutes! I bought for a family of 4 tonight and we were all underwhelmed at our food. Higher prices and lesser quality is not a recipe for success. Deflation is coming and if they do not lower their prices or get back to higher quality, this franchise will go down. They have lost a customer. Years ago we at there a couple times a month, now a couple times a year. Now I won't go back. I'm sure we're not the only ones. They messed up my order. When I called to have it remade the Assistant Manager, Sabrina, chose to raise her voice with me and eventually she hung up when I originally asked for her name so I could formally complain to corporate. I called back and was greeted with a pleasant young man who gave me her name, but I truly hope this location gets their management proper customer service training before she loses it on someone important. I recommend asking for the general manager rather than assistant as she reacts dramatically and out of hand. read more

I prefer penn station to the rest of the sub chains. The food is a little expensive, but it's always tasty. The fresh cut fries and fresh squeezed lemonade are always a treat. This location always has good service. But it's always freezing cold in here due to hard surface floors and single door entry. Cleanliness is usually average as well. Good food, great for carry out. This location needs new employees or new training because it is ridiculous. This young girl with yellowish blonde tipped ends and dark roots was an issue. This man had already waited over 5 minutes to get his order taken while we could hear girls yelling and giggling in the back. Then proceeded to have to wait for his food the entire time I was there to eat. he was kind and asked how much longer the food would take, the girl looked at him and said uhhh and walked away never said a time. another 5-10 minutes goes by he asks another girl how much longer or he wants a refund she looked him in the face and walked away. He asks yet another worker for a refund now so the girl he originally brought up a refund to, yells across and says "you can see I'm busy". He then says I want a refund she said " I can't do that, don't talk to kids who work here that way then started calling him rude and impatient she told him "you should learn patience you clearly see I'm busy" yelling as loud as she can the whole restaurant heard she was embarrassing and needs fired. I was so excited on the morning this happened because we were going to Penn Station for lunch... lunch finally came I ordered my Philly and sat down I ate half my sandwich picked up the other half and there it was a long curly hair. Never. Ever. Go to this location. I ordered online. Said I had a 12 minute wait. Fantastic! I arrive a couple minutes before and stand at the register. And I wait. People are called up in front of me, I approach the counter. The cashier WALKS AWAY. No one acknowledges my presence. I wait 20 minutes. During this time, someone brought in a bag stating they sent her with the wrong sandwiches. One was mine! I finally asked if they were making my food (nowhere in their app or in store does it say I have to make my presence known, btw. Just says I can come in and they'll call out my order). They said it was coming and had to be remade. I waited another 10 minutes. FINALLY handed my food. Got home, and they'd remade the wrong sandwich! My wife then had to go back in to have them remake the sandwich AGAIN. They bullied her the entire time, attempting to make her feel that it was her fault. They gave her the sandwich, completely inedible. She couldn't wait for another one. She arrived home. I got a phone call. They asked my name, and when I confirmed, called me a b*tch. I can only assume it was their jerk manager that we dealt with, from the sound of his voice. I now have that number and have contacted corporate. Waiting for a call back. Good food and always incredibly delicious. I love going here and try to come at least once a month. The service is pretty slow, but worth the wait for the most part. They have POOR customer service. It's not that they aren't friendly, but more that they just kind of ignore you. They ask you all the questions for you meal but never seem to want to be there. I was a regular customer at Penn Station Stellhorn. I was on their mail list and got their coupons. Last Fall, in order to show "customer appreciation" they were going to offer a buy one get one free. Instead of offering that, each store just closed for the night! I suspect the owners decided they would lose more money by honoring the promotion, so they just closed their stores. Whatever the reason I thought if that is how they show customer appreciation then they dont want me as a customer. I dropped off their mail list and didn't go back until this evening. Basically I was about a once a week customer, nearly $40 a pop, and they lost that money for maybe 8 months.We go in and there is a small line, 3 people just waiting to place their order. We wait. There were people who had already ordered waiting as well. We wait some more just to place an order. After about 10 minutes, and the three people in front of us hadnt even ordered, we decided to just run over to a nearby place and get sandwhiches there. Buu byyye! I give them 2 stars for their food, but nothing else for their management. I echo what another review said, that the people dont seem to want to be there. I think that is managements fault. I suspect they probably didnt mind losing a couple more customers tonight. By the way, when I wrote them about screwing their customers over by closing all of their stores instead of honoring their promotion, they apologized and sent a me a get a 6 inch free with another purchase. Yippee! I didn't use it. Sandwiches are good, but not worth the wait.
