Cracker Barrel - not much commentary this time. Cracker Barrel locations generally do a good job at being consistent and providing professional service from place to place. This is appreciated. The large fire places and heat they throw off are really welcoming on a cold winter day! The pot roast was tender with a nice beef taste. The beef gravy is rich and really enhances the meat tastes. The grilled chicken breast was moist, nicely grilled and seasoned. The Chicken Fried Chicken gives you all those favorite southern flavors - crispy breading, moist chicken and creamy gravy. We started weekly visit to Ft Wayne store and came for both breakfast and dinner. Th elast 3 weeks has been a total disaster. Last night it was 40 minutes to get our food after ordering. It took another 20 minutes ot flag down our bill to pay. Its not the food, its not the servers, they work their A__ __ off . The store has no manager or she/he is MIA each time. Hello, We got in on a "Storm Sale" and got 20% off the Family Meal Deal they have now. We looked the menu over and selected the Meat Loaf and Tenders family deal. We were blown away by the volume of food included. It was for 4 people it said , but we never thought it ment four Dang Sumo wrestlers! It came in 4 separate trays and the biscuits were in a nice box with a bunch of butters. Well we ate half of the meatloaf and the tenders, half of the hash brown casserole, and half the biscuits. We put the Dumplins away do to no belly room. We were stuffed. We then the next day reheated the remainder of the hashbrown casserole , biscuits, and remainder of the MEATS and had a huge brunch with the chicken dumplins to be part of dinner later tonight.! Amazing deal! We do like to eat in the resturant , but it was the greatest take away option we have had. Nice! read more

After many many years I decided to go to Cracker Barrel because the pancakes sounded so good. They didn't disappoint, although they were harder to find on the new menu. Breakfast was fine but not spectacular. Not expensive, not cheap. Our waitress was perfectly fine. My main problem with this Cracker Barrel is the horrible odor when you first walk in and wade though the nightmare of the store section. It actually smelled like a dirty diaper. I'm talking number 2. The bathroom interior didn't smell as bad as the store. Unappetizing and frankly a little nauseating. The odor was still there when we left after paying our bill. I couldn't wait to leave and get out to the fresh brisk air of Lima Road. Do better, Cracker Barrel. Figure out your stink problem. Until then I won't be back. read more

This location is conveniently located close to interstate 69. We stopped by for breakfast at this restaurant after staying a night in Fort Wayne. Since it was early in the day our party of six was seated right away without having to wait. Our waitress was friendly and very attentive. The food was good. I really like that Cracker Barrel is now offering vegetarian options and has plant based sausages on the menu. Tip: Browse the Cracker Barrel shop a bit before heading out. Flavor of the Shepherds Pie needs some improvement.Hashbrown casserole sure didn't taste good with the pie. Mashed potatoes should have been on top. It was just a mangled mess. Homemade Shepherds pie is 10x better. What a disappointment!! read more

By far the cleanest, friendliest and well stocked Cracker Barrel we have been to in awhile. Tae was our server he was terrific! Our food arrived & everything was hot & delicious. Bathrooms were very clean , which have been a place I feel a lot of restaurants are having trouble with these days. Just getting employees to work . We found several treasures in the store area. I dont understand how delivery orders get filled wrong. I ha e a receipt showing each item was quality checked,yet 1 item was missing and 1 item was repla ed with something else. Of course Customer Service promised a digitial free meal in 3-5 business days which thankfully is good for a year because I told them I have no car to get there. Thats why I gave a generous tip to Doordash to deliver. I used a $60 gift card! Everything on the receipt read right. It just doesmt seem like such a hard thing to get right. Stopped in for dinner while in town for a church convention. Had dinner with king-time family friends. Food was on par to a normal visit to Cracker Barrel. Nothing extra special but all tasty! After dinner, I looked around the shop and found several very cute dresses. I finally narrowed it down and purchased two. I did not try them on since there's not really a fitting room. Well, when I returned to the hotel and tried them on ... it was a big NO! I looked liked Laura Ingalls Wilder from Little House on the Prairie! I can not! My review is based on a curbside to-go order. I got the lunch special chicken n dumplins with a side of mashed potatoes, corn bread and biscuit. I also got a blackberry tea. First, my ordering experience was great! I loved the interface on their website and it made me excited to get my food. When I arrived at the restaurant it was easy to receive my items and quick. My first sip of the blackberry tea nearly knocked me off my feet - and not in a good way. I had no idea that this tea would be soooooo sweet. I was hoping for an unsweetened or lightly sweetened tea that I could add sweetener to if I wanted. If you like sweet tea, I'm sure you'll love it, but if you're like me - don't bother. My food was packaged well, but it was unfortunately barely warm. I did arrive to my pickup about 5 minutes later than the estimated time, but I did so because of all of the reviews stating they are usually behind. So that might be on me. I had a microwave to use so I heated it back up and it was fine. The biscuit is better than the cornbread IMHO. I wanted something bland with salt and comforting and that's what I got! So keep that in mind if you were wanting something fancy or super flavorful, 'cause sis, this ain't that. It was exactly what I expected it to be which was good. Cracker Barrel is one of those things that I love but don't get to have often. When I found out there was a Cracker Barrel near where I was staying in Fort Wayne, I had to get it. I ordered the chicken strips dinner with mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and Cole slaw. I thought the $14 Door Dash price for a meal with 3 sides and bread was fair. Went to the one in Rialto, CA today with my Granddaughter. Just the two of us, she is five. I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken, she had the grilled cheese child's meal. Never received any rolls, butter, jelly..which my mean came with. Waited about half hour for our food, which was stone cold. Tried to send it back but I never saw our waiter again. No refills, litterally nothing! I finally got a to-go container from another food server. Never did get my check. Went to the register. Complained to three girls. All shrugged their shoulders! Then I asked for a Manager. Waited another 10 minutes. Finally a female Manager showed. I complained. Said; Sorry, I took off your drinks! That was it! There were 4 others in line also complaining...and it was beyond freezing. Six other people ran and got sweaters out of their cars. We didn't have any. Horrible experience! That Manager is useless. On road trips, I tend to stop at Cracker Barrel when I need to use the restroom. The restrooms are usually clean, and there are a bunch of toys and gifts and tchochkes to look at after you're done, which appeals to my kids. So my review for this Cracker Barrel is based only on my restroom stop. The restroom was kind of a mess. Maybe I visited right before they cleaned it, because my experience is that CB is pretty good about keeping up the appearance of their loos. Who knows. This Cracker Barrel has plenty of parking, like all the Cracker Barrels I've ever visited. And as for the tchochkes? They have lots of stuff. I'm not really an impulse buyer, but there's something about the gift shop at Cracker Barrel that makes me want to buy something. This time, my pocketbook left unscathed, though. read more

Long post/review.....To say this was the worst experience we've ever had is hard to say. We love Cracker Barrel, but after today it'll be awhile before we return. We went around 3; so before the crazy dinner rush, our waiter had 3 tables. We had to ask for my husbands replacement pop (due to the original being flat) multiple times, had to ask for our appetizer 15 mins after putting in the order, my husbands unseasoned burger had garlic bread as buns instead of actual buns (not on the description), my 8yr old son got 4 tiny pancakes instead of the 2 large ones he was supposed to, I had to tell them not to bother bringing my husbands salad because we had already gotten our actual meal and they still hadn't brought;even after reminding him. We had to ask one of the gentleman delivering our food for our biscuits, that came with no apple butter as requested. It takes A LOT for us to mention shitty service to management at all but today was just too much in a tiny amt of time. So I said something to management when they came to take the salad off the check; I said "this was the worst experience we've ever had", he looks at me with doubt in his eyes and says "really? The worst?" with a snotty attitude and I go on to list off the issues and he won't make eye contact with me at all, just keeps his eyes on the register and says "I'll talk to him", then proceeds to walk away. So I say "ok, well obviously you all don't care and it doesn't matter that we're leaving very unsatisfied," he turns around and says "how, how do we not care, can you explain?" again...in a shitty mood. I tell him the laundry list again and he said "it's Mother's Day weekend, you have to understand, that there's other people." I said "I do understand, I also understand we got here before the rush, and you're acting like us being unsatisfied is an inconvenience. Don't worry, it'll just go online so people can at least know." I walked out as he was talking because it wasn't worth me having to explain to him how we felt when it meant nothing. As I said; we aren't those people. We tip, we may complain amongst ourselves but not to the staff or management, and we are gracious when it comes to mistakes or errors. We were at the Cracker Barrel on Friday 05/24/2024 in Fort Wayne Indiana (Store #CB02062). We had placed our drinks and dinner order and then set there for 45 minutes, after the 45 minutes the server brought my side dishes out and explained that the the chicken dinner that was ordered would be an additional 15 minutes because too many of the chicken dinners were ordered and they needed additional time to cook more of the chicken. After speaking with our waitress and explaining the issue she offered to send out a manager and stated their were 4 managers in the kitchen on that night and she would send a manager out to speak with me. When the manager came out she asked what the problem was and after I explained the issues all that was said is I'm sorry. This was not an issue with the waitress it was and issue with the kitchen staff and with having 4 managers in the kitchen this should have never happened, at least 1 of the managers should have been on top of the kitchen staff. read more

The store at Washington and Lima in fort Wayne Indiana had the worst service. My wife had just did a pickup order waited for 10 minutes just to place the order and after the order was done it took half hour just to check out and the lady was very rude because now the food is cold and said that wasn't her fault that the registers went down and wasn't her fault because we live so far away. We will not be going back to this restaurant. This place has very poor personal relation, I do not recommend this restaurant. Food is good but had to warm it up. read more

WARNING: THIS LOCATION IS LITERALLY THE UNDERBELLY OF ALL CRACKER BARRELS. The stench of urine wafting out of the women's restrooms greeted us as we walked up to the hostess station. Things improved when the CREEPSTER HOST greeted us in some super random cartoon voice, acted then like he count count how many there were in our party. He continually came to our table to speak in his weird voice and followed servers into the kitchen. We thought he was harmless and just trying to be funny u til we realized he was chumming it up with the NASTY server-that-barely-was. When the UBER SLOTH waitress (Zoe) arrived with hella attitude (taking 30 minutes--literally-- to greet us, it took her another another 15 minutes to take our drink orders and then she never even bothered to bring out biscuits. This place is a hot mess with "ABSOLUTELY-SPITTING IN YOUR FOOD" vibes. So dirty and unwelcoming, pretty sure we should make a health department complaint. We waited another 20 minutes only to be informed they were out of TWO different meals we'd ordered, so we decided to bail and never look back. They do comfort food well. This is my go to place if I need a home cooked meal and don't feel like having my stove on in the heat. Absolutely wild experience. If you value your time, wallet or health insurance, skip this place. The host tailed us all throughout our stay. From browsing to sitting down, he was there. He kept pitching his voice up in this weird nasally accent and dropping it routinely. Real comedian. Our server was even worse. Didn't show for a half hour, and, when she finally took our orders, we next saw her in another 20. Thought she was gonna season our food with laxatives, with the attitude she was giving us. I had the worst experience I've ever had at Cracker Barrel. I ordered the 4 piece chicken dinner. Started to eat breast there's only one little chunk of meat that was worth eating, and it was dry rest was breading and bone. I then picked up my wing and started to pick at it. There's no meat on it at all and what meat might've been on it was just dried up to nothing. I proceeded to eat my chicken thigh it was juicy then I noticed a weird taste. It had to taste of rancid oil so I put it down. The chicken Drumstick was smaller than some hot wings I've gotten elsewhere. When the waitress returned to our table and asked if everything was all right, I told her about my experience with the meat. She informed me that they throw whatever's in the kitchen on the plate. I didn't know the word throw was a plating term, but anyway, she walked away. A little bit later the manger walked out, I tried to tell her what's wrong with my food she kept butting in said it looks like you ate it. I said that's the way It was honestly. if you look at the wing the breading is still on there so how did I eat the meat and leave breading intact? I explained to her how I did eat the breast, but there literally was hardly any meat on it she preceded to say I couldn't give you another meal. If you told me sooner I told her that the waitress just came back the second time. I explained it to her. That's when she went and got you. Well if you don't want it she says and she grabs my plate and walks away with it makes a snide remark since you ate it anyway. I don't like being called a liar when I'm trying to explain something to someone. She comes back out and says she took meal off bill. That's not what I wanted, I wanted food. So I went away hungry. Want to let you know that all the other times I've been to Cracker Barrel. I ordered the chicken dinner because the chicken has always been delicious. Better than most chicken places.
