I stopped in here a little while back after meeting the owner Tom somewhere else. I have only tried the pizza so far and can say that it is the best I have found around. I am 10 minutes away in Eastport and will definitely drive the extra distance in the future for it. They do have gluten free options as well as dairy free cheese if you are into that sort of thing... I've heard from a couple people who have gotten some meals catered from here with nothing but positive experiences. They told me that I have to try Toms bolognese sauce :-) read more

This place seriously has the best Italian food on the East End. It is in the convenient shopping center just off of 495, so it is perfect for those needing a quick bite to eat before heading out to the Hamptons. The portions are huge -- you get SO MUCH PASTA -- and the price is perfect. The pizza dough is to die for, and sauce is magical. The owner, Tom, is such a nice man and makes the best meatballs you will ever have. The service is quick, I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes for my food. Food is flavorless and most importantly they have no customer service. The family is always hanging around in the resturant and they're more concerned about goofing off than helping customers. The manager is some young kid that probably has no expierence in the industry. Not to mention they do not follow CDC guidelines during this pandemic. I was passing through the area with a friend when we decided to stop for dinner. So glad we chose Pennachio's! We immediately felt welcomed by the staff who seemed like one big family, and the aroma coming from the kitchen was amazing! Really what made our visit so special was our server Carol. She was so friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. She explained that if there was something special we'd like made, as long as they had the ingredients, the chef would be happy to do it! She truly made us feel at home and was so accommodating throughout our visit. We felt like we had known her forever, like she was an old friend! They made me a special order that wasn't on the menu, calamari fra diavolo. Very spicy, excellent quality of fish, and enough to take home for later! My friend had the shrimp fra diabolo and was equally happy with the dinner. We then ordered take-out for our spouses, who also loved their food. The staff here is truly exceptional. Not only are they friendly, but seem to work together very well, helping each other bring food to the table, and assisting others in any way needed. I went here because of the reviews. I wanted to check it out so I ordered 3 cheese pies. One plain, One with sesame seed crust, and one Sicilian. On the ride home in my car I expected to at least smell the pizza... but nothing. When I got the pizza home I found that none of the sesame seeds stuck to the crust (It was all just scattered in the pizza box), there was barely any cheese on the sicilian pie! I was even more disappointed when I tasted the pizza. The pizza was flavorless. Nothing about this pizza was good except that it was hot and cooked properly! I doctored it up as best I could with my own toppings and olive oil. I love pizza, but this isn't good pizza. It was cooked dough with bland sauce and a small amount of tasteless cheese. We were in town from California for a wedding. My husband, uncle and I are from NY and my aunt is a native Californian and we wanted real Italian food. This place knocked our socks off. We had sausage and peppers, baked clams, veal parm, baked ziti, eggplant rollatini, and chicken scarpiella. You absolutely cannot get that food in CA. Not even close. The sauce was fantastic and we did our best to have all the leftovers for breakfast. It would have been a sin to waste such good food. What made this place even better is that it's family owned and had that authentic neighborhood feel. We had a great chat with the owner and he sent us off with a couple of slices. Taking a ride out East with a few friends, looking for someplace to eat, turned into a shopping center, there we found Pennachio's, so we decided to get out and try, we ordered six different slices, we cut them up and shared them between us, the sauce was good, All the of the ingredients on the pizza, sauce, pepperoni, vegetables, overall were good, the service was fine, all in all a good experience. Just got a delivery with a salad that was inedible: slimy lettuce, see through radish, broken down carrot and rotten tomato. The owner is an ungracious man who called me sweetheart and told me I was just mad when I refused his new salad. My call was to let him know what's going on in his place, which he seems not to since he told me he's never gotten any other complaint...in fact, this is my second complaint, my first being that a previous chicken order tasted rubbery (likely microwaved, no remedy offered) and I find it hard to believe I'm the only one. I'll be getting my Italian food from someone else in the area, which is no great loss, my advice is anyone reading this do the same. read more

This place is the best for the money. This chef wrote down all of the old traditional Italian meals! I can just see this place is going to be huge! I've never had a meal prepared so good with local ingredients and marinara sauce like this place. If you're in Suffolk county NY, you have to go. Pizza was decent but $30 for a plain pie and small salad seems excessive. Plus an extra 4% (likely illegal) surcharge for using a credit card disclosed with a tiny sign when its too late. Passing Hampton / City visitors aren't going to care or notice but the locals don't appreciate it. read more

Let's start with I do not like Sicilian pie, my wife does. Naturally this means every once in a while (90% of the time) I have to eat a Sicilian. We ordered a Sicilian pie today from Pennachios and I will admit not only is it the best Sicilian pie I have ever had, I actually would order it over the regular pie. I ordered 4 pies total for delivery (low $3.00 charge). We got 2 cheese, a half buffalo half pepperoni and sausage, and a gluten free personal pie for my son with a gluten allergy. They offer a cauliflower crust personal pie which is gluten free so I got that and my son loved it. Deliver took 30 minutes when I was told 35. Quick and delicious. So i tried this place because my son just moved into the area and we were watching the grandkids. What a surprise! This storefront strip mall pizza place is actually serving restaurant quality appetizers and entrees, as well as off the charts pizza. The meatballs are just like Mom made, and the portions seem to have been made for giants! Sometimes a restaurant will try to make up for quality with quantity but in this case both are present. My wife and I had to take half of the chicken parmigiana and manicotti home after eating all of the chicken and beef meatball appetizer, a beautifully made Caesar salad and the delicious bread and foccacia basket. The chicken came with an entree sized bowl of angel hair pasta on the side, and my wife had to roll me out to the car because I just kept eating and eating. The prices are reasonable as well. All in all, it's a great place to stop in for a quick slice, or a full meal. You won't be disappointed. read more

Stopped there for the first time last Friday. Got food to go. A pepperoni pie, garlic knots and a Greek salad. The knots were the best I have ever had! I don't know how to describe it any other way then they were juicy lol. They are so good and lots of garlic. The pizza was fantastic also! My oldest son (4 yrs old) is a very picky eater and he ate 2 whole slices. The sauce is good and they definitely use a cpl different cheeses it seems. The only complaint was that I asked for extra feta cheese on the salad and I could have probably fit all the cheese on a fork. Not sure if I was charged for it but either way if that was "extra" then I would hate to see the normal amount. All in all a great place to go. I will definitely be back! We stopped at Pennachio's for dinner in the middle of a long drive from the Hamptons into the city, and had a great meal. The caesar salad was particularly good. We ordered the Pennachio's chicken which is in a spicy tomato sauce, but had it with mozzarella--so like spicy chicken parm. Everything was great. Portions are huge. The manager was was rude and had a terrible attitude. I called my order in and he told me five minutes and when I came into get my order, he only then had the other guy put my slices in the oven! If I wanted to wait in the restaurant I would've never called it in in the first place! He made a comment that that's how they do it! And it wasn't what he said it was how he said it, I asked the other guy put my slices in the oven, who he was and he told me he was the manager.
