Two visits here, both for lunch! This is a large, warm space, and smells wonderful! We sat in a sunny booth, and on the first visit, Melissa's favorite server (female, very friendly) bustled over. You do need to ask for the sandwich menu, which is paper, otherwise you're given the big menu, in a folder. The second time, with my mother, our server (male, not as friendly) brought it begrudgingly. There are more casual options on the paper menu. The food is wonderful!! Everything was yummy and well made. I had two different paninis, and both were crispy and delicious. The dinner menu also looks very good. Lots of classic Italian entrees. And they have pizza by the slice! I'm looking forward to returning the next time that I'm in the area.

After a couple of months in the area, Mary's has become our favorite restaurant. It's always packed, but less so in the off season. Fortunately, they take reservations. Mary's is a down to earth island in a sea of pretension. The bar is quite busy. The crowd is all over the place, from a cadre of regulars to flocks of Hamptons doyennes. The staff are lovely. The bartender makes an excellent martini. The mark up on wines is really reasonable. The food is uniformly excellent. Meals start with a basket of excellent focaccia strips. Our favorites include the personal pizzas (which are big enough to share). They are rich and have unique sesame seeded crusts. I often order the linguini with clam sauce. There is a ton of clams in the dish. I keep eyeing the Flinstonian sized veal chop parmigiana, but still haven't closed the deal. Despite going there often, we never have had enough self control to leave room for dessert. Ah well, hope springs eternal!

The service was really nice and kind. Been going to this place almost since it opened. I love the bread sticks but today they were a little light on the butter. It's a nice cozy and casual restaurant. The traditional pizza that I ordered was super good. My dad was getting mad at the tiny mozzarella balls on the chicken capri. (My dad does not effect my rating)

The decor is classic pizzeria with painted scenes of Italy on the walls and Italian adjacent music playing. It's uber casual- the diners were clad in shorts and t shirts with some multigenerational families and a stream of regulars. The staff were nice. Our waitress was very earnest. This is the most inexpensive area restaurant that we have eaten in so far. Beers were $5 or $6. We were started off with a couple of delicious, freshly baked rolls. My wife ordered a garden salad that easily could have fed two. I had the pasta special. For $20, it included a small garden salad, an enormous serving of excellent linguine with white clam sauce and a delicious small cannoli. This place is the perfect antidote to expensive, pretentious restaurants. We expect to be regulars.

We walked into the bar area, which was filled with happy, convivial people, and smelt strongly of beer. Oops. I saw "The Look" on my mother's face. But I found the hostess, and we were seated in a lovely, quiet dining area, which did not smell of beer at all. Our server, a cheerful and friendly young woman (I forgot her name, alas), bustled over and took our orders. I ordered a gluten-free bun (yay!), and she asked whether I could have fries that were cooked in a fryer where wheat was fried. I can, but that was surprisingly thoughtful! She has a friend with celiac disease. The food was WONDERFUL!! The Mommy had a Caesar salad with salmon. The piece of salmon was huge and perfectly cooked, exactly the way she likes it! My turkey burger was delicious. Not dry. So yummy. The fries were crispy! We were delighted to have tried this place, and I cannot wait to return! Also, I left the lights on in the Audi, and they made an announcement. This was awesome, as I did not want to call my brother for a jump AGAIN. He lectures me. Ugh.
