    All decorated for Valentine season!

I adore this place so much, and it is one of the best bubble tea shops ever! The bubble tea is soo delicious, and they literally make the best boba ever -- made fresh and warm as you get the drink. Seriously, their boba stands out from any others. The owners and staff are so kind and courteous. It is a pleasure to meet them. The place is adorable, has great music, and I always enjoyable to stop by. I also like the seasonal drinks and the decorations they put up for holidays.

We made a visit to Penny Cha to check them out since they're Stamford's newest boba tea shop! It was so nice inside and exceptionally clean! You can taste the difference in quality here compared to a lot of other shops - no artificial flavors and the teas are made from only fresh fruit. Even her boba is homemade and it's one of the best I've had! We had a great experience here. The owner was so friendly and made the drinks quickly! Wishing them continued success!

I consistently ask my husband to reroute the gps to Penny Cha if we're possibly going to pass Stamford. Some days I win and we get to come for some of the freshest bubble tea I've ever had. From fresh fruits used in daily made drinks, to hand made boba with natural ingredients only, you can taste the difference. Personally my husband and I are obsessed with the mango fruit tea with boba. He won't share if he gets it. So one for each of us! I loved the Thai tea with milk foam for how pretty it looks and how I went "whoa" in a good way when tasting it. The strawberry matcha is also a favorite for how the flavors mix so well together. I had seasonal chai during my winter visit and can't wait to see what other seasonal flavors the Penny Cha team come up with. The team (Veronica and Michael) are also so personable and answer all the questions about the boba before you order. I can't wait to come back to Penny Cha!

newly opened bubble tea/asian drinks place in downtown stamford. they make everything in-house, including the tapioca pearls (boba) - not even a fan of boba but theirs is delicious! i already have a go-to fave here though, the strawberry matcha milk tea... i forgot to get pictures the first time because i drank it too fast. it's that good! they're able to tailor the sweetness levels to your liking too which is great for people like me who don't like their drinks too sweet. they also have a variety of milk substitutes. the owners are also really nice and exactly the kind of local business that you'd want to support. brightly lit, cute decor, love that the theme of the place is the owners' dog! my partner and i think this is the best bubble tea place in stamford. i definitely foresee myself becoming a regular here and highly recommend to everyone else, too!

This place has the best boba tea in Stamford! The strawberry matcha tea is amazing and the flavors go well together. I also tried the brown sugar milk tea which was nice. I definitely recommend adding boba to any drink, it tastes fresh and you can tell it's handmade. Their boba is different from typical tapioca pearls, but tastes great with the drink anyway. The owners are very friendly too & I like supporting a local business. Cute interior too!

Super friendly service! I'm a big fan of bubble tea and have tried many places to start! The ambiance is also A+. We got 3 different drinks there and their handmade brown sugar boba is very good but unfortunately the teas itself - not so much. The Thai tea we ordered with regular sweetness and it tasted like watered down tea lacking the milky taste, just not very good in general. We tried the matcha lattes with boba as well and they were also more on the watery side than how it's supposed to be milky. Strawberry matcha - I imagined it had some sort of jam or crushed strawberries- unfortunately it was just some strawberry syrup/juice which did not taste very good / artificial. Could definitely improve their recipes for the teas itself and wish there was a little more variety/ customization offered.

Dulce de Leche & Oreo Matcha Milk Tea

All of the staff is so sweet and friendly that offer samples & recommendations. They have such unique flavors with homemade boba pearls that are great! Love the Oreo matcha, brown sugar milk tea, and dulce de leches. Also love the inside decor, so cute!

Found this place on google, I was craving dessert and decided to check it out. I was very impressed…read moreby the extended menu that included tons and tons of different food, including bubble tea. At first I was gonna place an order over the phone but decided to just do it in person. Once I arrived, the place unfortunately was closed, the sign said they would be back but nobody was there and the door was locked with a little sign that said to call that number. At that point I guess I could of just left but I was so hungry, I was really craving pho so I called the number and the nice lady said she was out on a delivery but she was on her way back and allowed me to place my order over the phone w her. In the meantime to kill time, went to a nearby target. Once she arrived and my food was ready, she gave me a call and I went to pick it up. The lady was apologetic about the wait, very nice woman, handed me my food to go and I left.I did get to check the place out, small establishment, but cozy and very hip and cool, would have been nice to eat there and hang out. I got 5 orders of their pho and a mango bubble tea. At that point I had waited a good 40mins if not more so I was starving and tired, the mango bubble tea was EVERYTHING, it was creamy, fruity, just right, and that made me more excited to get home and eat my food! Now, I'm used to adding the leaves and other things to my pho myself , so I thought certain condiments would come separate but turns out it was already all prepared in the plastic container which no big deal. The taste was good, very very tasty... however, very different than your regular Vietnamese pho. Now I don't know if it was because it wasn't necessarily a Vietnamese place (based on their food menu with mostly Korean stuff) that the pho was different, different meat and diff condiments so alright it was a tasty broth with noodles, it's not your typical pho so I have to be honest, i was disappointed. I spent quite some money there so I feel like a combination of wait time, inconvenience and disappointment in the pho, turned me off a bit. I feel like, as a customer, I was very accommodating and still gave them my business so that could of been an opportunity for them to use their customer service as a secret weapon to get me to come back?... Overall, I don't think I'll be driving out of my way to go eat there but if I'm in the nearby area, I'll deff be stopping for a nice bubble tea drink!

For anyone wondering about the name, it's pronounced "Me-uh Chah" (not "Mek-ah") and translates to "Mother and Father"--which feels fitting given how much more "soul" the food has lately. A few years back, I felt like they were missing the mark on the essentials, specifically the phở broth and the nước nắm. If you know Vietnamese food, you know those are the dealbreakers. The great news is they've clearly dialed in the recipes. I've been coming back regularly now because the flavors are finally hitting those traditional notes that are so hard to find in this part of Connecticut. My typical order: * Phở Gà (Chicken) * Phở Tái (Rare beef) * Phở Bò Viên (Beef meatballs) * Chả Giò (Fried spring rolls) -- Absolute must-order. They do have a lot of non-traditional stuff like Bao, Handrolls, and a solid Spicy Miso Ramen, and while those are actually very good, I usually stick to the Vietnamese classics since they're doing them so well now. The atmosphere is also worth mentioning. It has a really cool, organic vibe with tons of wood accents. The ceiling is covered in hundreds of 2x4s that hang down like a weeping willow canopy--it's unique and looks great in person. Pro-Tips: * Parking: Don't even bother trying to find a spot on Bedford Street; it's a nightmare. Park in the lot around the back and just use the pedestrian passage to walk through the building. * The App: If you're doing takeout, use their mobile app. It's a lifesaver on the weekends when the dining room gets slammed. So glad to have a reliable phở spot in downtown Stamford again!

I actually went during restaurant week, but since I ordered it to go, I didn't get to take advantage of any of the promo pricing. the ambiance is always nice at Mecha, no matter the location. Even just popping in, you can feel that trendy, laid back vibe they're known for. This was my first time trying bone marrow with my. pho, and I'll admit I thought it came mixed into the broth. Instead, you have to scoop it out of the bone yourself, it reassures you that it's fresh, but I think I might've ordered it wrong. I'd probably go with marrow oil next time for a smoother experience. The pho itself felt clean and comforting, definitely one of those meals you can enjoy a little guilt free, especially if you're feeling under the weather. Overall, it's a good option, just a bit pricey for what it is. I'd be open to coming back, especially to dine in next time during a restaurant week if I have the time.

Consistent, solid Chinese takeout with a pro-tip for parking…read more My wife and I have been ordering from Fuji for a while now, and it's easily one of our reliable go-tos. The restaurant itself is always clean and well-maintained--they've got a nice, modern decor with dark wood and soft lighting that gives off a great evening vibe if you're dining in. That said, we usually pick up our orders ourselves these days. During the pandemic, we used to rely on Uber Eats, but we got hit with too many random surcharges and delivery fees that inflated the bill by nearly 35%. Since we're less than a mile away, it just didn't make sense anymore. Plus, the kitchen is fast; food preparation usually only takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Parking Pro-Tip: If you're picking up, parking right on Bedford Street is tricky and almost always crowded with delivery vehicles. Do yourself a favor: park in the Bedford Street public lot behind the CVS on Forest Street. There's a super convenient pedestrian passageway that cuts right through and pops you out directly onto Bedford next to Tigin Irish Pub. It saves a ton of frustration. The Food: While they have a Japanese menu, the only thing we've actually tried from it is the house salad (which is always fresh). We tend to stick to what we know is great, which is their Chinese menu. Our standard rotation never misses: * Pork Egg Rolls and a quart of Wonton Soup (great starters). * Chicken Lo Mein and Chicken with Broccoli (classic, solid execution). * Spicy Basil Chicken (has a nice kick to it). * Pan-fried Noodles with Seafood Special (definitely a favorite). Ordering Tip: If you want pork fried rice, don't buy a standalone order. Instead, upgrade the white or brown rice that already comes with your entree. You'll save yourself a couple of dollars that way. Solid food, quick turnaround, and consistent quality. Definitely recommend if you're in the neighborhood.
