    Bacon breakfast burrito

Got a bacon breakfast burrito. Flavor was good and fresh but way too much oil. Not sure if I would try again

Chili bowl, mild and almost soupy.

Focus here is on the diner food here. The actual structure and some aspects look like its frozen in time. Avoid the restroom. Lots of parking. Our server had personality. We sat in the back booths. They have some patio seating, too. I adore chili and this was a little thinner/soupy but was filled with a lot of burger meat and red beans. I just needed splashes of Tabasco to make it perfect for me. Mr Bland liked it a lot. Their hamburger is like a smashed-flattened shiny bunnies burger. Fries crispy and medium cut. **Loved that the cook walked up to our table and asked how our food was. What a sweet, caring man!

We went to Peggy sue but it was busy and I was really hungry. Found this place on Yelp and I have to say thank you god for this. At first, we hesitate to go in because it was empty but we like the atmosphere and decided to give it a try. Foods are fresh and all staffs are polite. Gave it a 4/5 because I ordered fries but they gave me veggies instead. Didn't tell them because we were in a hurry.

this is what i ordered not what i got

Service was questionable??! we had one order of the french dip and i ordered a breakfast burrito that was supposed to have what looked like chili.... came out with nothing on it ! When i asked for the remaining items that they show on their menu photo, the waitress said the menu constantly changes so we don't always have what's shown for your order..so I'll get you a side of gravy. She comes back with the gravy, we get the bill and she charged me for it! The French dip came out with corn beef, because the cook told the server i don't know how you want me to make a French dip with no roast beef. So as we sat here the food comes out and my guest says this is corn beef, not a French dip with roast beef!

Our breakfast! Breakfast sandwich with has browns and sausage, sunny side up eggs cooked perfectly.

We stopped here for breakfast on our way to Laguna beach from vegas. The food was perfect. The service was awesome. It was like dining in your grandmas kitchen. So helpful and friendly. Love this place.

Hidden gem...went to the old del taco place "Tina's Burger Den" and their water like was busted. Got sent to Penny's diner by then and food was good. Chocolate malt shake was on point. Ruben sandwich was the best ever!! The best sandwich ever. Chili cheese tots were good as well. Bread for Philli sandwich was so soft. It was good as well. Burgers were good. Meat was a little small for the bun but it was fresh and good. If you go get the Ruben Sandwich!!!!

We chatted with our waitress about the upcoming events being hosted such as country night, karaoke night etc. Sounds like a lot of fun. Tucked away off Victor Street in Barstow, this was a fun find while driving back to Los Angeles from Vegas over Memorial Day weekend. Big props to Haley M., who was basically running a one-woman show and somehow kept the entire place moving with a great attitude and solid service. That alone made the stop memorable. The location has a cool, laid-back vibe with plenty to keep people entertained while grabbing food and drinks. They've got two billiards tables, a dart board, and all kinds of classic bar games, board games, and card games, including UNO, which is a family favorite. They also have several televisions. The food was all good too. I really enjoyed the Green Chili Burger, and everyone else in my party seemed genuinely happy with their meals as well. I felt they were trying to nickel and dime when I got the bill, i was charged for a side of ranch, a side of BBQ, and had no idea I was being up charged for the onion rings. I didn't say a word, but it hit wrong with me. .75 points deducted. What especially stood out to me, though, was the Memorial Day place setting displayed near the front entrance honoring our veterans and fallen heroes. It was simple, respectful, and genuinely touching. See my picture. That detail said a lot about the heart behind this place. If you're making the Vegas-to-LA drive and want something more memorable than the usual freeway fast-food stop, this place is definitely worth checking out. Great atmosphere, friendly energy, and one of those spots you end up talking about later.

The interior has a true, old school, country diner vibe that instantly is relaxing and welcoming. A little dim, alotta wood, a long counter, lots of comfortable booths, and a decent sized patio for folks to go have their smokes. The waitresses are easy going, friendly, and very on top of checking on diners & keeping our drinks full. On our very first visit, our waitress recommended the freshly made potato chips that come with house made bleu cheese and/or ranch and they are AMAZING!! It's the first thing we order and it's something we crave. Breakfast is served all day. At our latest visit, we had a feast. We started with the chips we'd been craving, had the Grilled BLT burger, Classic Eggs Benedict, and finished it all with coconut cream pie and apple pie à la mode. SO GOOD!! Considering the generous entree portions AND our scrumptious desserts, we took half of the chips and dressing home. (And they reheated beautifully in the air fryer!) And now I'm craving those chips and bleu cheese dressing :/ But seriously though, if I lived in the neighborhood, I'd get those chips at least once a week!

Fresh squeezed orange juice isn't as common as it should be, but it's worth the charge for each glass! I am fairly certain I had at least 3. My oldest daughter has a hard time ordering and got flustered when it was her turn. The waitress was so polite and patient, she gave us extra time and came back later to add my daughter's choice before sending our ticket to the kitchen. The waitress made sure that we knew there was no pressure and to let her take her time. Being a truck driver for 15+ years means that my husband is not a fan of truck stop restaurants, but after breakfast he said he wouldn't mind coming back again in the near future. That's quite the compliment.
