By the time the service was finished, I was charged $59.44. The technician told me it was $15 plus $35, but I saw the charges listed separately. If these were truly separate charges, why wasn't I allowed to just pay $15 for the gel removal alone? I even mentioned that I never get my nails done, and she took advantage of that to overcharged me. This felt like a scam. All I have in my nails is a clear coat. I knew I was getting scammed and told her to just add the clear coat. Again, from the start making me get a manicure saying I couldn't just remove the gel. I wound have been fine paying the 15 to remove which is what I wanted. I absolutely do not recommend this place. Also, I have not received an email receipt. Please send it to me immediately. It looks 95% like my other nails, even though they don't do dip. I'm honestly so impressed. This was thankfully a 2 min walk from my hotel. Once you get to the building on Water St., head up to the third floor, where it's impossible to miss the giant green wall. The waiting area is cozy and clean. Lidia was my tech. The tables are so so clean and tidy. Even though they didn't have dip tools/removal (foil, etc.), she was able to file down to my natural nail and smooth everything out. In place of dip and acrylics, she shaped my nail with sculpting gel and matched my other hand. She was very receptive to feedback and careful to get the right length and color. Even applied cuticle oil to both hands and offered a quick massage. You can barely tell the difference! And it was only $10 before tip. I found a few bubbles later on but overall I'm pretty happy for the last-minute fix. And Shirley gave me great recommendations for local eats nearby. Thank you both for the warm welcome to NY~!

All technicians were busy, space was clean and bright. Was given about 5 books to pick colors from, I genuinely doubt that you would have a difficult time finding whatever color you want in whatever finish (cat eye, matte, chrome, etc). I would say prices/upgrades for individual colors are clearly listed. Had a quick service, was there for just over an hour with solid color and two nails with art. I tend to like my nails on the shorter side which can be difficult to explain sometimes but there was no issue with getting the length I want. Emulated the art I showed perfectly, cannot find an issue with my service. They have a frequent user punch card which I took as I will definitely be back. I did the Golden Spa pedicure, which comes with a hot stone, a 10-minute leg massage, a 10-minute chair massage, and a callus remover. I liked the chair massage so much that I paid to add time. I then got dip powder with cat eye on my nails. Loved. She got the shape perfect- shorter and almond-shaped. Modern amenities- massage chair, WiFi charging in chair in USB, phone stands to watch movies, screen IPEN so you can use while getting your nails done. They have an ATM inside in case you want to pay cash or just need to get cash in a safe environment. Walking distance from Four Seasons, Barclay Tower, WTC, and 9/11 museum. I had scheduled an appointment to have my Gel X nails removed and a gel manicure done. As soon as I walked in for my appointment the receptionist also took a walk in that was demanding she was helped right then and there. The FIRST nail tech seemed very frazzled and had to ask what to do. After being instructed, she started my soak off and took the other client, leaving me to sit and soak in acetone for over 30 minutes! Not to mention, she took the pack of sterile tools from me to the next client, EW! After soaking for the 30-40 minutes they had the receptionist come scrape off the softened gel. She obviously had no idea what she was doing and didn't fully remove all the gel X nails off. My fingers were tore up by the acetone and I should have taken this as a sign and left but I didn't. Finally another nail tech (who seemed like the manager) finishes with her client and comes to take over. She's is visibly upset with the job the receptionist did and had to use the Efile to remove the rest of the gel x off my nail as there was still a lot left on and under my nail. The efile bits did not look clean and she kept putting the used ones back in the case. When she finally starts to apply my gel mani she tells me that my nail was weak from having to file of the gel so she would have to use a special base coat to add strength back. When we got to the nail color coat, she said i had a line in my nail from my previous manicurist back home damaging my nail and we would have to change the color to cover it. At this point I've been there for 1.5 hrs so I said fine. The color she brings is much thicker and she struggles to apply it evenly, dipping back into the pot over and over again. she finally finished putting on the last top coat and I have a total of 7 coats of gel polish on my nails. She proceeded to FILE my top coat and start to shape my nail again because of how lumpy she did them. The top coat is meant to seal in the polish and if you file it, your nails are going to chip.... Gel or not. At this time I had been in the chair for 2 hours. for a simple soak of and gel manicure! What? When I brought up how bumpy they were, she once again blamed my previous manicurist for damaging my nails. I had only had my gel X set for 2.5 weeks so the grow out wasn't crazy and even if I had a file line in my nail from the gel x, it wouldn't make my whole nail lumpy... After telling her that I know better because I went to school for cosmetology, she rushed to check me out. she didn't charge me for the soak off, just the gel manicure. I left with polish on my fingers and flooded in my cuticles and with my skin raw and dried out from the long soak in acetone. Just save yourself the headache. Now I have to find another nail salon, pay a second time, and waste more time just to fix this.
