I called them and they were rather dismissive, saying that there was nothing to fix. But I was passing by anyway so thought I'd try asking and showing them in person. They asked if I had my stamp card (which shows who my nail tech had been) which I did. They asked me to wait a couple minutes and then told me that they would do extensions for free on the broken nails. They took their time to explain that I should take a break from gel next time and do regular polish and were quite nice. They weren't expecting any tip but I tipped a small amount. Given that they were willing to redo my nails for me I'm revising the review.

I never leave reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience. I booked a dip powder manicure and gel pedicure. The pedicure was fine, but the manicure was very disappointing. One of my nails had broken, and instead of using a plastic tip, the tech tried to build one freehand with acrylic/builder gel. The result was a drooping, uneven nail that also looked yellowed, which you can see in the photo. When I pointed out the drooping, her solution was to repeatedly try to "rebuild" it using only dip powder. Despite me asking her to just finish my other nails and let me come back the next day (I explained I was already running late), she kept insisting it could be fixed "in 2 minutes" until I had to firmly tell her to stop. I felt like my concerns weren't being taken seriously. When I got home, I noticed more problems: the top coat wasn't applied evenly (leaving rough patches), lint was stuck to several nails from not drying properly, and my thumbnail had a visible smudge. My cuticles were nicked by the drill, and the side of my thumb nail was filed down too far, leaving exposed and inflamed skin. I've been getting dip manicures for 5+ years and have never experienced anything like this. An occasional nick is understandable, but this felt careless. I've never had to return to a salon to get my nails fixed. I paid full price for the manicure the first night despite these issues, and had to return the next day to have them redone. I had to point out the problems, as they were initially only going to address the thumb. Ivy (the owner/manager) ended up redoing the top coat on all of my nails and reworking the broken thumb nail multiple times before it looked smooth. Even after this, there's still thick builder gel underneath my thumb nail. She was apologetic and didn't charge me, but the process still felt rushed -- the drill repeatedly hit my nails and cuticles, even chipping the tip of one natural nail in the process. In the end, my nails look better, but it took two visits, physical discomfort, and far more time than expected. Although they fixed them free of charge the second time, the lack of care, repeated mistakes, and cuts to my skin will deter me from returning. I can't in good conscience recommend this salon.

Gel removal takes 1 whole hour, and I tell the nail tech that I can have my natural nails cut down, which is supposed to be $10 on top of $15 gel removal (per the owner's words to the nail tech in Chinese). When the owner rang me up, what should have been $25 was $35 before tax and tip. The nail shaping is terrible (asked for almond and she left me with uneven edges and some of them pointy). I didn't notice this or the leftover residue on my nails as I had to hurry out the door. Will never return, stay away or you will have to pay for mediocre service.

They have an extensive collection of colors, including celebrity manicurist Jin Soon Choi's own line of nail polishes. The majority of the manicurists have solid technique, and expertly shape nails and deliver smooth, streak-free manicures in no time. My one suggestion: Space out the clients! Nothing kills the vibe of a relaxing nail treatment than being crammed in next to chatty customers--especially when many other seats are open.
