Todd did great work for me a year before, so I trusted him when my computer was having problems and he suggested I upgrade my computer. So I didn't question the price when he gave me a quote for a new desktop. A week after I got my new desktop, however, I saw comparable computers half the price online. I even found a MSI desktop at the Microsoft Store that was 3x more powerful than mine, top tier video card (to save money I asked him to use my old one) at the same price I paid Todd. I also paid him to do a clean install on another computer and found he didn't install everything I asked for. Late post. A little over 2 years ago I found People's PC on Yelp to fix an issue with my pc. It was very apparent that Todd was not only good at what he did but was passionate about helping me understand the "why" he was doing what he was going to do to my pc. Todd is now my go to guy when it comes to computers. While I had a basic knowledge of how to put a PC together, something I've been doing since high school, Todd is like a formula one mechanic who knows all the intricacies and parts behind parts. He is incredibly thorough and has a rule about the using the best parts at the lowest possible price (such as recommending a PSU from Corsair that is basically a rebranded Seasonic). Did not charge me a penny for his time because he lives up to his motto, "no fix, no pay", which in my case I did not have to because I just wanted to know what parts of my computer had died because of a cheap power supply I had bought to power my otherwise costly rig. Todd is unbelievable! My wife's laptop had a charging issue. After doing some of the research and repair myself it still wan't working right so I needed help. I checked around for a repair facility and saw People's PC and the great reviews on Yelp. When I met with Todd he was knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He doesn't try to bombard you with tech talk or talk so fast to make your head spin. He found out that that the problem was that the cable was damaged. He looked to see if he had another spare cable to give me. If he had one that would've been that. No charge for the cable or the diagnosis. I was blown away! He then proceeded to show me what can slow your computer down in a language I could understand. Some I knew but a lot I didn't know. He showed me some services he performs and told me in advance that I was under no obligation whatsoever. I could have left with my computer working fine and owing nothing but Todd showed me how I can have my computer working far beyond it did brand new out of the box and have it last for 10+ years. I agreed to Todd's upgrades as a gift to my wife and it was done in just over a week. He even came to our house to show my wife and I how fast it operates, the software he installed and how to keep it running optimally with just a few, easy to remember, tasks. If I could I would give Todd 10 stars. I called him yesterday and told him my sons laptop had some sort of virus. I gave him the model number and he immediately knew what the problem was. He went on to educate me a little and offered to take a look at it. Excellent service! My computer mouse and keyboard were not working. I could get the BIOS but keyboard and mouse did not work on the sign-in screen. I called Todd and after a few calls he was able to set up a time for me to bring my computer in---on the same day! Todd is an extremely pleasant person offering me lots of computer knowledge while trying to diagnose the problem. Within an hour, he diagnosed that the problem was software related and I needed to perform a clean install. He let me know how much he would charge for the service or said I could do it myself. I didn't have the disks so Todd explained how I could do it online. I had some problems so I texted him and he responded after business hours. My 4 year old laptop was giving me major problems after I upgraded to Windows 10. It would beep during start up, my backslash key would come up at intermittent times, and my computer would lock if unattended for more than 15 minutes. I was about to purchase a new one. I brought over two laptops today for Todd's assessment and estimate. For the first newer computer he told me that the screen was bad and that he could order a replacement screen and change it out for a very reasonable fee. The second older computer he took a look at it and determined that there was a software related problem that was causing the slow performance and freezing. He informed me of my options and cost to remedy the problem. I choose not to have this computer fixed since it was so old.
