I always ask for hot sauce because I love adding a little bit of heat to my food. I like their bakery items as well they have pan de bono, pan con Jamon y queso, and arepas de choclo. And obviously so much more!! The service is usually quick service. They do get busy in the mornings when people are picking up breakfast on their way to work. They are also busy on the weekends in the mornings. They have seating and some people do sit down and enjoy their coffee inside but I would say most people take their coffee and breakfast to-go. It is conveniently located in a Spanish neighborhood. 10/10 recommendation

I had a very upsetting experience at this place today…read more I came in with my small elderly dog, who was in a sling and not walking around the restaurant. Instead of treating me respectfully, staff immediately focused on questioning me and demanding "papers" for my service animal in a very aggressive and humiliating way. What made the situation worse was the tone and behavior. I repeatedly tried to explain calmly, but I was spoken to dismissively and made to feel unwelcome in front of other people. I ended up leaving extremely distressed. I know my rights under ADA laws, and businesses should know that employees are not allowed to demand documentation or certification for a service animal. There should be proper staff training on how to handle these situations professionally and respectfully. No customer should be treated this way.

Celebrating our anniversary here has become a cherished tradition, and every year the experience is just as memorable as the last. A very special thank you to Fatima for once again welcoming us with such warmth, grace, and genuine hospitality. You have a remarkable gift for making guests feel truly valued and at home. Thank you as well to Monica for helping make our evening so special. Your kindness did not go unnoticed. We feel incredibly fortunate to celebrate this milestone at a place that consistently exceeds expectations. Many blessings to both of you, and thank you for creating another unforgettable anniversary for us. We can't wait to return. The food was incredible! The vibe is special!

We did the tasting menu…read morenumber 2 and particularly enjoyed the rock shrimp appetizer and the black pepper beef entree as well as the dessert sampler. The pacing of the meal for the quantity of food received seemed very rushed, and we didn't really have a chance to relax and enjoy any of the courses. However, the quality of the experience was a complete disaster particularly for the price. Clearly, the packed restaurant would disagree, but for the four of us anyway, we would not return. It started with the check in process at what felt like a long hotel front desk with multiple, self important hosts and hostesses overseeing your entrance to the cavernous bar/waiting area. One problem is the noise is so deafening that you can't really hear what they say to you but we check in a few minutes early and waited obediently in the bar area chatting. After about 30 minutes (15 after our reservation time), and watching numerous parties large and small who arrived after us be seated by the hostesses wandering through the dimly lit space who peer quizzically and ask your name, my husband went to ask for an update. (We joked that those vibrating lighted buzzers alerting when your table was ready would have been super helpful, but it was amusing to watch while we waited). It was clear they somehow lost track of us as she had him repeatedly spell our (not unusual) name. Anyway, after that, within 10 minutes after that we were taken downstairs to our seats (but not before standing awkwardly in the large dining area near packed tables waiting while our table was cleaned). Server with a heavy accent was kind and mostly helpful so none of this is on him. The busser who managed to spill half a pitcher of cold water on my husband's back, soaking his shirt and jacket and barely apologizing, is a whole other story. We managed to get a glass of his mediocre Cabernet comped for the experience. If I sound annoyed, I guess I still am. I had high hopes for a fun and tasty experience in a cool part of the city and it just wasn't.

CRABCAKES: Alright what the hell, these crabcakes are probably one of the best crabcakes I've ever had. HUGE chunks of crab and the flavor was this perfect savory flavor that I couldn't stop focusing on. MUST get this. Certified Baller Status. BACON: I know what you're thinking, oh it's just bacon, NO, this is VERY thick cut bacon that has the bounciest texture. I could not stop eating this. Also a MUST get. 100% certified baller status. STEAK: Oh my goodness. Perfectly cooked and tender up the wahoo. You will not be disappointed with the steak they give you. THE MEH: I dont recommend the bread. It's a fun tower looking thing but it's really just unimpressive when it comes to flavor. The asparagus is nothing special. It's just straight up steamed or boiled or something. If you want a steak house GO HERE.

This is much, much more a comfortable, locals joint, or even a family restaurant, than a fancy steakhouse. You don't have to completely dress up. Still, leave your baseball cap at home. The food is better than average. It is not bad but it is not amazing, either. Our server was very nice but disappeared for long stretches at a time. The bread appetizer was lovely looking and delicious. The French onion soup had a mountain of gooey cheese but was otherwise just fine. My bacon-wrapped filet was very unevenly cooked. I saw many burgers being ordered and they looked incredible. I would definitely order a burger next time over any steak. We happened to dine on Thanksgiving when they had a special menu. To our great surprise, the turkey and dressing were excellent. The creamed spinach side dish was very nice and the sweet potatoes were good, too. This is not fine dining but not every restaurant needs to be fine dining. This is a comfortable, old steakhouse that serves mostly good food. The bar is just a small counter but it is attractive.

If I had to give the old catch a rating it would be 2/5 stars. However, the new catch, the one that went through a total top down renovation, this place is an easy 5/5. The ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful, it gives off like a rich yacht vibe, wood accents, green coloring and just a wonderful scenery. They made more space for customers, you don't sit one on top of the other, there's plenty of space and the chairs / booths are super comfortable. The drinks are amazing, they are made extremely well, we quite literally tried everything on the menu, all of it is incredible!!! I love the bao buns, the rolls and sushi a sashimi! Their sea bass is one of the best I ever had, the steak honestly was a let down I would not recommend it, but surprisingly the truffle butter was better than anything I've had from any steak house. The hit me cake is also so much fun and delicious, the fudge is out of this world. We have already been twice and will be looking forward to our third time! They really did a successful turn around
