Never go to this location. They do dishonest work and will argue you down if you complain, making it seem like you're making the problem up. I had an issue with my fuel cap sensor light being on. After doing a diagnostic, they told me my entire EVAP system was failing and that I needed to replace multiple parts. I trusted them and spent over $700 -- when it turned out the issue was only the gas cap, which I could have replaced myself. After all that, I went to get a state inspection and it failed again because of the gas cap. Charles told me their machine must be broken because he claimed he tested the cap, which I don't believe -- because once I bought another gas cap, it passed immediately. So which is it? Was it really the EVAP system, or did I just waste my money? They argued with me, insisting it was a large EVAP leak, yet the paperwork they gave me clearly states it was a small leak. read more

My vehicle was vandalized at Pep Boys. The seats were covered in feces and crap when I got my vehicle back from them when they had my vehicle in their care. I had my vehicle taken to Pep Boys because some repairs that needed to be done to my vehicle. They needed to inspect the vehicle and send photos to the company that covers my warranty to approve repairs. They inspected but didn't take the photos. I had to bring it back four days later. The vehicle sat all day and the photos weren't taken. I was informed that they would take the photos the following day. It took them three days to take photos. They informed me that the photos were sent and I could pick up the vehicle after it sat there for the third day. When they gave my vehicle back to me the back seat had feces/crap smeared all across the back seat of my vehicle. I immediately told the employee who informed me my vehicle was ready. He asked me to show him and informed me they would clean it up. He was on the phone and said the store manager said they can't clean it up and that they are not liable for the damage that was done to the vehicle while it was in their care. One of their employees didn't lock my vehicle which led to this. Their negligence had me pay over $300 out of pocket to have my vehicle detailed because they are not legally liable for the damage done to my vehicle. I can't recommend taking your vehicle to Pep Boys. They didn't take care of me or my vehicle. As a result of their negligence, I had to pay for the damages simply because they didn't lock the doors. You will have to pay for any damages done to your vehicle if they inform you it has to stay at their location. Pep Boys is ethically bankrupt on both a business and moral level. They do not respect you and take no responsibility for their mistakes. It was pure hell having my insurance and the police department dealing with this issue. Pep boys all in all is ok. They got me an appointment for my oil change without issue, so I was happy with that. The people who work here are alright. Not overly friendly, but not terrible. One thing I will say is that they kind of told me I was getting a "high mileage oil change", instead of asking me, and that was something I felt like probably should have been more of an option or question, rather than a demand. All in all it was kind of pricey, but they were running specials, so I was able to use a coupon I found online. Also, when my car was done the man at the desk didn't say anything like "hey your done, follow me this way". He just walked in the room, was like "Hey, you know you need two need tires" and walked to the register without saying anything else. The lobby where you wait is nice, they have good seats and a tv. The surcharge on parts is abysmal, 2x the price from the car manufacturers website, and 4x the price from an aftermarket website. After returning from a four day trip, we discovered that my wife's 6 month old vehicle wouldn't start. We were able to get it jump-started and, since we had purchased a battery for my vehicle some time back at this location, she took it there to see what the issue might be. They supposedly ran a diagnostic on the car and she was told she needed a new battery. She was told a new battery and installation would cost $460. She told them no thanks and ended up driving it to the dealership. They tested the battery and said nothing was wrong with it but the fact that it sat in the heat for those days without being started probably caused the issue. I needed a receipt for a prior oil change because Juan who said to me when I went to get the oil change, "he doesn't care if he gets fired" for putting in the wrong information. So it was no surprise when I found out he didn't send the information to my company. Soon after I began receiving emails from my company asking for proof of car maintenance. I called this location today and was put on hold and then hung up on. I called back 3 more times and Sesy hung up the phone before I even uttered a word. How the hell do people like this get jobs??? Worst place ever to get your car fixed. I took my car in to install a new fuel pump and when I picked the car in a worst shape possible with rattling noise and delay start. Apparently the guy who worked on it did not properly installed it so it broke the camshaft. They said they were going to fix it but it's been 7 weeks now and counting without a vehicle and my car is still sitting there in their parking lot. Nobody is helping me they're always lying about it and no one atleast offer me a rental car while I wait so I can at least go to work. This place went downhill quickly. Been having my Smart Car serviced here for over two years, then all of a sudden the guy we used to deal with disappeared. Then they tell me they no longer have anybody who works on European cars. Well... not at first. FIRST they say the guy is on vacation, THEN a week later they just say "We don't do Smart Cars." Had to explain that they've been doing it for two years, and just got an unapologetic "Well, we don't know." Sounds like this place is losing customers along with its employees. Had to argue with the manager to again open up the car and change the light And then the bulb went out again probably because of the loose connection. Im on my way when my car stops on the highway 30. My husband is a first responder and he just got off work. We manage to get my car to a gas station but they didnt have what we needed. We were so happy to find a pep boys near by and thankful to make it there. It was our first time to try a pepboys after a very scary and frustrating morning. Being that as I write this review I am still sitting in the customer waiting area still haven't heard an update on when my vehicle will be finished. I came in as my starter was acting up on my truck, I set an appointment last night and arrived 5 minutes before, Walked in got the estimate for my diagnosis and was told a 10 minute wait to get the results, fast forward 90 minutes and finally get an estimate for a new starter, but couldn't be worked on till 3 and wouldn't take more than an hour, arrive back at 4pm to see if the car is ready, it's not and i am still waiting a total of 6 hours spent at the shop, This will be my last time i bring anything to Pep Boys as they don't care about the customer I don't Recommend! read more

Pep boys stores have gone from bad to terrible. Don't trust them to air up a tire. They are the worst.

Where do I start with this Pep Boys. First, I called them to ask a simple question. The phone rung for over 15-20mins before I actually decided to hang up. I thought maybe their phone was broken. I decided to drive up there and call. When I walked in the the store i didn't receive any help at all. So i decided to call again while i was in the store. To my surprise, their oho5ne actually worked. It still took a while before they answered the phone. When they answered, one lady in the care care section was somewhat helpful, initially. So, i decided to have my car towed to them. What shouldve been a 30minute process for my car, turned into a 2-3hour process. I was lied to several times about what they were doing with my car, the prices of services and the length of time it'll take. People kept telling me different things was wrong. Long stort short, i ended up needing a starter. They started working on my car without asking permission after the analysis. What if i didnt have the money for all that they wanted to do. Sheesh. I did, but still. Lastly, when my car was ready for pickup i specifically asked to lock my doors. When i asked the younger lady about why they had been open for hours ahe just shrugged her shoulders and said, "i guess the mechanic didnt listen to me or he forgot". I was horified. I actually had left aome money in my ash tray on accident and that couldve gotten stolen. Not to mention, they were playing with items in my car. And kept shrugging off everything that i asked of them. They were so nonchalant in their behavior and in providing customer service. I have grown disappointed in this Pep Boys store. They have treated me well in the past and don't several repairs for me that were less expensive than quotes from other shops, so for about a year this was my go to place. This week I visited asking them to check into a problem with my brakes, and when they finally called me they wanted to do over $1000 worth of work to my car (including new tires) and when I declined to do the work they told me I was at risk of getting into an accident and that my vehicle wasn't safe to drive. They also told me that my tires were down to 2/32 and they needed replacement ASAP. I got a second opinion for much less, found out the problem was much smaller than it was made out to be at Pep Boys, and that some work was recommended, but not required. The kicker was: my tires were 6/32 and 8/32. I felt misled and taken advantage of by fear tactics here, and probably won't be back. Pep Boys is great for tires, especially with coupons, but I can no longer recommend them for other work. read more

Came in today and specifically asked Sesy and Martin to change 2 tire bolts that were broken. I waited in the lobby for 4 hours and when they finally finished they charged me $240.00. Astounded that it had cost over twice what they quoted me, I asked why it was so much and they replied: "well you actually have 4 bolts that were damaged so we fixed them all." So, I'm sitting in their lobby for 4 hours and not once did they think to ask me if I wanted them to fix an extra 2. I went to Pep boy's for the first time back in December to get a diagnosis because my windshield wipers weren't working. They had my car all day, called me back and said it was the motor and cost $600 to fix it if I wanted to get it done by them. I told them no thank you, paid for my diagnosis and took my car back. I went to another mechanic a few weeks after and told them my issue and my diagnosis they said they did not think it was the motor. Still I trusted pep boys and ordered a motor, found another mechanic asked them to install. They tried new motor and told me it wasn't the motor because the old one was fine and the new one didn't make the windshield wipers start. He also mentioned that he didn't even think the motor was ever taken out because the caps looked untouched, so he said he didn't think they did a thorough diagnosis. I called pep boys spoke to a manager and told them that they misdiagnosed my car. I asked if they offered a refund or at least could diagnose my car again. They said no and they can't guarantee someone else's work, I told them I wasn't asking them to guarantee someone else's work because nothing was even fixed. She said "so what's wrong with it then" I was clearly talking to a wall. They are just money hungry. Will never go back and do not recommend. I've now paid their diagnosis fee, the price of the part, and a mechanic. How did a windshield wiper not working turn into all of this? Are the people working there qualified????? DO NOT RECOMMEND. My son took his car over there to get new tires. When they were servicing his tires, they told him that he needed his brakes done and gave him a price. My son told him thanks but I'll just get my brakes done somewhere else because I can get it cheaper. The service manager Casey began to tell him that he was not going to release his car to him because it was too dangerous for him to drive. My son asked can he sign a waiver he needed to get to work. He was told no and that it was company policy. So my son called me and I went there and Casey tried to tell me the same thing. I then began to ask him to show my the policy, and he began to get nervous and said he can't find it. It was then that another manager came over angrily and said to have him sign a waiver and "if he dies, then he dies". They released the car and when I called corporate to file a complaint they informed me there is NO such policy with Pep Boys! This particular store is shady...please do not solicit them find another Pep Boys if need be but not this one. They were holding my son's car hostage and it wasn't until I came up there demanding to see the policy that they changed their mind!! Never heard of such craziness!! read more

One guy quote ke a discount but the guy who checked me out refused to give me the same. I hope my oil was really changed. My change oil light is still on . There's no sticker or anything to let me know when my next oil change is due. I also request tire info because I really need 2 tires. No one ever mentioned it. Matter of fact they put that my tires where fine on my receipt. Which is crazy because 1 tire is sitting at 19psi and the other is at 25psi. If you want someone to scold at you, come here! Let me tell you why, I drove up to the closest lane to go into the first stall where they usually provide air for your tires. There was a blue van parked in the right lane and I could tell a worker was getting the information out of the car for service. Because I'm a polite person, I did not pull up because that vans door was open and I wanted to speak to the man because I actually came last week and no one was outside to ask me what I needed. As he gets out of the van, he waves his right arm and directs me backwards. My window is up and I make a confused face and he does it again. He is throwing his arms around and I'm trying to figure out what he is telling me because I'm definitely in a lane where the big yellow arrow is pointing straight. I roll my window down and say, "excuse me?" He says, in a escalated voice, but not too escalated, "park in a parking spot." I said, "I'm trying to get air for my tires." He says, "oh, okay. Go ahead and pull up." I said, "no thank you" and drove my happy behind to another place for free air service. Non verbals are as loud as verbals people. I do not trust this business- and I feel taken advantage of because of my need to get my car fixed- don't come here unless you have someone who knows cars watch them do exactly what you ask. I came in to get a flat tire changed or patched- and they slammed me with a whole bunch of other things on my tire they "needed" to replace because they were damaged. They blamed whoever installed my tires previously for they damage- which I can't prove- but it's really hard to strip something like that. The only damaged thing I had was a flat tire! When I refused the card and told him I was voting for someone else, he proceeded to tell me how wrong I was and that I should be better educated.
