If I had read the review before this one, I never would have taken my car there today for an oil change. I brought my car in today for a full synthetic oil change. They did not check the fluids and tire pressure. How do I know? Both of my sensors were still on as I was driving away. I had checked the air pressure a few days ago and all 4 tires were at 30psi. I left and went to the gas station next door and spent more money to fill my tires. Coincidentally, all 4 tires were still at 30psi. They didn't check my windshield wiper fluid either because that sensor was still on. Who knows if they even rotated my tires? After reading that last review I just checked my oil and it is clear so my oil was changed. Just don't know if they put synthetic in. That was my first time back to Pep Boys in 7 yrs. I had some service issues in the past but figured I would give them another try. NEVER again! If the reviews are any indication, that explains why they never seem to be busy at this location. If you can't trust the people you do business with, go somewhere else. That last review was an eye opener! read more

Heads up!!! I am very disappointed in your store in Davie Florida. I have been a customer at the Davie location since 2009. In the past two times I have had my car service, oil change with tire rotation, (I always purchase my tires from Pep boys)I have had an issue. Last time, when I picked up my car and drove home, my car was jumping all over the road. I took my car back the next day and the mechanic at your store told me that the mechanic that service my vehicle did a poor job and did not balance my tires. He took care of the issues and I was on my way. Today, I took my car in for oil change and tire rotation. I marked my tires rims on the back tire just so I could make sure the store would do the rotation. I picked up my car and asked when I checked out if my tires were rotated. I was shown the receipt with the rotation writen and the sales guy stated the job was done. Once I was outside and looked at my tires on my car, I could see the same marks I had made on the same tires that were still in the back of my car. I then went inside and asked again if my tires were rotated. I was told yes. I then explained to the sales guy that there was no way since I had marked my tires. Once he realize I knew they did not rotate my tires, he tried to blame it on the service guy. I spoke to the manager and he also gave me an excuse. I drive round trip to work everyday 120 miles. I am a single mother with two children who depend on the safety of my car. I depend on Pep boys to service my car right and not lie to me as a loyal customer. The trust I had with Pep boys is broken. How can I take my car back when I do not trust them to do the job that I have asked for. This comes down to the safety for myself and my children. I will make sure all of my co-workers, friends, and everyone I run into knows how Pep boys will lie straight to your face concerning the work they do on your car. Amateur night!!! I will no longer bring my vehicle here, not even for an oil change. I recently had some work done on my car. I had to return after the work was done for some "minor wiring for headlights". On my way there, my check engine light came back on, and also, a red flashing light that said stop also popped up, indicating a coolant problem. I pulled over to a gas station, and when I popped the hood I was mortified! My coolant cap was left unscrewed and the tank had almost evaporated. My engine also has a cover which was completely missing. There was also a wrench left right on top of the engine. I nearly expected to also find a half eaten sandwich in there!! My wiper fluid tank was completely empty, even though I had bought new wipers 2 days before and not even the common courtesy to top it off. And, my dipstick was broken at the top and not fully inserted, causing some oil to splatter. I went to the store, and no one there was even willing to take a look at it, even though I had just spent over $1,200 for and alternator and some engine coils and the wipers. I was told they were too busy to look at it!! They would not even go look for the engine cover which they forgot put back on!! Finally, a young tech went to the back and brought it out and placed it back on top for me. Infuriated that they would not even give me the time of day, I wrote a complaint to their corporate web address. It was answered about 2 days later with a direct phone call from them telling me they would resolve it. I went back, and asked how come my receipt says check engine light fixed, but here it is back on again. They said they would have to do a deeper analysis, even though I paid $80 for the first diagnostics, they should have figured it out the first time around. I was told my vehicle had a series of other problems, which they overlooked the first time. In regards to my dipstick, I was told it was a common fault with this model. Wrong!! They broke it and would not fess up. They said they would order a new one, I watched him fill out the paper work. It has been about 7 weeks now and they still have not contacted me. Needless to say, I replaced it myself!!! In regards to the headlights, I was initially told it needed to be rewired. Turns out the whole housing needed to be replaced. Was also told that this is a common problem with my model. Hence, another instance in which it took 2 attempts to diagnose a simple problem. I was willing to pay to fix it, but was never contacted again!! The fact that my car was returned to me in such condition is a reflection of a serious lack of management and oversight of the employees work. Someone from their corporate office needs to go down there and clean house!! The only reason I USED to go there was because it is close to my residence. They did fix the initial problems I went in there for: alternator and coils. But because of this experience, and no follow through, I am done with them!! read more

Came here on a Saturday morning before i had to go to work, so you know I was on the go. Walked in and was greeting by a gentleman by the name of Greg. I advised him of the type of vehicle that I had, explained that i needed brakes and new rooters for my car. He explained of the different types of brands and the warranty that came along with each product that i bought. I felt really confident and safe with my car being there. I also was able to get an oil change and get to work on time. I will definitely be coming back here to have service done to my car. read more

Bob is the service department manager at this store and provided excellent service. Had my truck aligned and they noticed my brake line was leaking fluid - I had just had my brakes serviced somewhere else. They took care of the problem and had me in and out in no time. I don't understand why they made my experience so difficult. I went to have my rotors and breaks changed because my car was shaking. Upon inspecting, they told me I didn't need to change my rotors, I only needed to change the breaks and change the tires because of a misalignment, my tires were the real cause of the shaking. Ok... I was grateful for that. Then they tell me go home, and I will receive a call when it's ready. I go home, and I receive a call about an hour later telling me it won't be ready until tomorrow. I was humble and I said "okay, thats fine". I was told it would be ready by 10:00 AM. Ok, so the next day I show up at 12:00PM (giving them some extra time) only to find out that they don't even have the tire that I need and they need to get it from another store and it hasn't arrived yet??? Once, again, I was humble and I said okay, call me when its ready, which they said would be a few hours. About an hour after arriving at home, I get a call saying, "Oh btw, the price we gave you was only for one tire". So now the entire quote that was quoted is completely wrong". The thing with that is, because I was misquoted from the beginning, thinking I would be paying $470, i was never given the opportunity to shop around and see if I can find a better deal somewhere else, so since they already changed my breaks and aligned the car, I still had to pay for that service, even though I would have preferred to not get anything done there because I have to now go somewhere else and get my tire changed. All in all, I believe this was a very SIMPLE situation made very, very complicated for no apparent reason. My first time here but a horrible experience. read more

I came here because I was quoted $430 total with alignment for 3 new tires on my car last time I was here. I came in today to get the tires done, the alignment, as well as a couple other things. When I came in, they "conveniently" didn't have the tires that I was quoted for. So he gave me the next cheapest one being $20 more per tire. While waiting, I get a call that all of my breaks are bad. So I just go along and get those too. This jumped the total up to over $900. Um what? When the man told me the total, I said "uhhh what!?" And my boyfriend was also there and said "900 dollars!?" And the guy just says "did I stutter?" Whoa not okay. I'm about to pay y'all $900 and I get an attitude from you when I'm genuinely surprised at my total? We tried to talk to a manager and they "conveniently" weren't available at all and never called us back. Also, I waited a total of 7 hours here. My boyfriend used to come here and his mom as well. Now that they know this is how we get treated, they won't be coming back either. Bye pep boys. You lost 3 loyal customers and I'm telling all of my friends and family not to trust you. read more

I have to say that I am extremely impressed and thankful for Bob and the team at Pepboys. I went to AutoZone which was my first mistake and needed terminal caps for my boyfriend's car. They didn't have them and so I asked for a jump so I can get to the closest location where I could purchase them since the car wasn't starting. The lady at AutoZone had the audacity to tell me they couldn't jump my car (after trying for 2 minutes) and told me and to ask a friend to help me. Thankfully, I had a friend who jumped me and I contacted Pepboys to ensure they had the terminal caps. The gentleman I first spoke with was Howard and he was sweet and directed me to Bob so I could ensure I will receive the right information. Bob was helpful, sweet, caring, and understanding and gave me just the amount of attention I needed after such a horrible experience at AutoZone. Once my FRIEND jumpstarted my car, I went to Pepboys and received amazing service. Bob took care of me personally and did not try and rip me off with telling me 100 other things I needed. He started with the terminal caps and sure enough, that did the trick. The car was fixed in under an hour. I will continue my service with Pepboys thanks to him and the team! read more

I ASKED FOR AMERICAN MADE TIRES! I have been a loyal customer of Pep Boys for several years now. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. I called about the buy 3 get 1 free offer and they had my tires in stock with no waiting. I had the guy go and check that the tires were made in the USA. By the time I drove over there, there were 2 people in front of me and they only had two of my tires. (Not eligible for the free one) So I went to the more expensive tires. I also had him check that the tires were made in the USA. He even showed on the display that they were made in the USA. When I got called, 2 1/2 hours later, I went to pick up my car. I checked the tires... MADE IN CHINA tires were on my car. I couldn't believe it. When I asked to speak to the manager, he told me that of course they were made in China, and if I had asked HIM, he would have told me that. He said there is nothing wrong with Chinese tires. I asked him why the display shows MADE IN USA? He said it was a mistake. I have had problems with my tires lasting, but never really made a big deal, figuring that all tires must wear out like that. I have never complained before. But I MUST COMPLAIN NOW. I was treated like an idiot. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. read more

I have been using this particular Pepboys for quite awhile on my car. New tires, Oil changes, etc, I have always been treated with respect and always had great customer service. My most recent experience was the best. My car made a rattling noise and the oil light and engine light came up on the dash. I had just had an oil change there so I took my car back. After checking I was told I needed an oil switch and a solenoid. Bob Hines, the service manager, asked me why I didn't take my car to the dealer as the parts I needed were covered under warranty. After making a couple of calls to the dealer, I found out that they were covered. I thanked Mr. Hines for his suggestion and for saving me some dollars and went on my way. Most auto repair establishments would never do that. Most anybody wouldn't do that. All the employees are really nice and personable and they know what they are doing. Thank you Pepboys. read more
