They have false advertising they sold me 4 tire online, but when I went to the store to pick them up they told that the tires never made it to the store and to call corporate about why they were not there, customer service told me that they do not have those tires anywhere in the system and they would not be able to fulfill the order when I already paid for them online and they can't sell any other comparable tires for the price I paid online. So basically they told me to go screw myself and they are not willing to make it right in anyway. I'm also doing a bad review in BBB and anywhere I can. If the company is not willing to step up to the plate and make it right to the customer when they screwed up, what else to expect from a company that does that to a customers. read more

Let me first say if you care about your safety be careful about choosing this shop ... I took my 2017 nissan altima to have it checked ,my brakes were squeaking and my horn wast working properly. My appointment was at 9 they didnt get me in until 10:15, 15 minutes later they say the brakes are fine and the horn had a bad contact point ...... 2 days later squeaking gets louder and worse feeling .. Walked in looking for 4 tires and the deal i saw online. The price was about the average of everywhere else. I was simply taking the chance that the stock was in and they could take me. The tires were there and they took the car immediately. The mall is near by as well as restaurants. Waiting wasn't hard because of this location. 3 hours and it was done. I needed a part put on my tires and was told by the Manager Johnny that Mondays were not very popular and I should come in that morning. I had purchased the parts so the installation and calibration were going to be a small charge. I went down to Pep Boys and found that they were slammed with customers. The manager said "we're really busy on Mondays" What? I was told it would be a couple of hours so I waited. I was then informed it would be about another hour so I decided to go have lunch within walking distance. When I returned I was told there was one vehicle ahead of me so it would be about an hour more. By now I have been trying to get my vehicle serviced for more than four hours. An employee told me that there were many other customers ahead of me however I noticed everytime I checked back there were different customers in the waiting area. Basically I kept getting bumped for jobs they could charge more for. I retrieved my parts and said I'll go somewhere else. Took my car in for an appointment set at 12pm, got there at around 11:30 just to be on time and maybe get my car seen early. Didn't know the issue with my vehicle so it was only a diagnostic (10-15 minute job) at most if that. I came in for a vehicle inspection. Very simple. Should be filled out in less than 5 mins. Waited 20 mins at the service desk which was empty. I even asked an employee at check out (with no name tag) if he knew what I needed for my form to be filled out... he was clueless. As I waited in line I saw another employee zoom by (he was wearing a white shirt) "Excuse me sir" I spoke out to try and grab his attention and he rudely replied " I'm in a meeting!!" And exited out the service dept. and into the repair shop. His name is Alan by the way. Thankfully I was kindly attended by David which at one point he did grab my attention earlier by saying "I'll be right with you sir." I went to this location a few days ago for a walk-in oil change, $59 and took a hour and 10 minutes.( Walk-in not bad) While there I asked how much for an A/C diagnosis and recharge. Was told between$250-$300. I said ok. I asked if Thursday morning first thing was good. They said perfect. So today (Thursday) I'm there at 7:45 am . 8:00am I'm literally the first customer. I asked how long does it take. Was told 2-2 1/2 hrs. Well at 10:46am MY CAR HAD NOT EVEN BEEN MOVED FROM OUTSIDE. NOT TOUCHED... NOTHING!!! I asked for my keys back and left,AFTER telling them that if all their help under 35 yrs would stay off their cellphone for more than 5 minutes they might get some work done. Now if there was ANY type of delay then SAY SOMETHING. I GET IT. But to say nothing even after telling them about the cellphone. NOTHING again. No sorry no explanation. So I went to Family Auto Repair on Florida and Stanford.. They took me right away. Diagnosis and recharge $90 and in less than an hour. Replace two vales included in price. I asked how much for a transmission drain and refill $130 was quoted Pep Boys wanted $200. I will always support a family business rather than a corp. Not to mention the pictures of customers going in for service thru the repair bays. 15+ pics going to various agencies for safety, code and other violation... I'm Irving in Pep Boys Hemet right now, after being here before 8 a.m. they just told me the tires I ordered were not here. Evidently I canceled the order. Oddly I was in the system and never received a cancellation confirmation . So how does one know when it cancels? They literally had me wait two hours to tell me I have no tires. Don't people make sure they have what they need to complete a job before they say it will be an hour and a half. Luckily they found tires but This wait time is awful. There organization is awful. Went across the street to pep boys and they told me they could not fix my tire and that they recommended I buy 4 tires. Have no idea what give them that impression. This place is horrible. I came in in July to have 4 brakes done 2 month's later my brakes are make noise again. I make an appointment for 230 on a Sunday take my car in and the guy at the counter tells me they don't have enough time to fix my breaks. He won't even take my car in a look at it to see what the problem is, tells me to leave it over night or come back in the morning. Says the close at 5 and 2.5 hours is not enough time but the sign on door says they close at 6pm on Sundays. He is so rude and won't even help. I make an appointment for for 9 am during the week have to take time off of work to go in and have them look at it and fix it under 2.5 hours. Long story short go to any other tire store in Hemet . The Asst. manager Chris , is the most unprofessional manager I have ever dealt with . The way they handle customers at this store is outrageous. I made an appointment for 4pm on 3-15-23 and I called at 2pm and asked if I should just come in or wait till my appointment. They told me wait till my appointment, so I get there 15 minutes early and they told me I would have to leave my car overnight . I asked why, there's 3 hours before you close . He said there's people who got here before you .... Obviously , that's the point of making an appointment . And if you couldn't accommodate that appointment , you should have given a courtesy call to let me know it was busy and you wouldn't get to me . So I wouldn't have driven all the way down there. Then when I asked to speak with the manager , ( Chris aka Asst. manager ) , and he told me " there's people who got here before you . " I told him isn't that the point of making an appointment? So I can guarantee I will be seen ? He said No! I asked if the Manager was in , he told me No . I asked if he would be in on 3-16-23 he laughed and said " he's on the schedule "! So I came in today 3-16-23 to speak with the manager and told him about my experience and he apologized and said he would speak with Chris about his behavior . After they installed my 2 front tires , Chris brought me the keys . This would be his chance to redeem himself , and give a change of opinion on my experience at this store , BUT all he said was here's your keys . So I told him " thanks for that great customer experience I received yesterday . He responded " you got what you deserved". I couldn't believe it . That's the Asst. manager , talking to customers like that . I then spoke with the manager again , and asked him did you already speak with Chris about his behavior from yesterday ? Which he responded " Yes , and he told me he treated you that way cause you were being belligerent." I couldn't believe it . Not only are you a worthless Asst. manager , but your also not a professional to know how to deal with a customer who is upset ! And you want to LIE , and make up an excuse as to why you treated a customer the way you did .... REALLY? That's how we do it ? My grandfather died at 94 years old and was a lifetime customer of Americas tires in Norco . He took every vehicle he ever owned to get tires there and family too . All because of the GREAT customer experience he received ! This was for my daughters car , she scheduled the appointment and bought the tires , I was just helping her take it there cause she's at work . They could've earned a lifetime customer here ... but Chris blew that chance ! I also work night shift and took my daughter to work 2 days in a row now so I could take her car in for her , and they treat an appointment like it's not important to them . And yet I could still make an appointment online for 6pm yesterday , they couldn't even handle me for 4 pm . Why would you be accepting an appointment for 6pm ? Don't know if this is his real name or what. Incredibly rude and condescending. You have questions? Try tot walk up to one of the counters asking some guy who leans there doing nothing and ask! Normally I go to Allen Tire but for some reason I decided to go to Pep Boys today to get my tire patched. First, I called ahead to make sure they had time today. When I arrived (15 minutes later) there was only one other customer at the service counter yet I waited for thirty minutes to get checked in. Other employees were in and out and each one said, "I will be right with you," yet no one ever was. The customer in front was there to get an oil change and a headlight repaired, but she babbled on for thirty minutes, called her husband, and kept adding services. Not once did the employee ask for someone else to help the other customers in line. When I was finally able to get my order in, I was told that they would get to my car in about 30 minutes. I called them after an hour and a half to find out if they were able to patch the tire and was told that they were just getting to it. Nearly two hours after that, they called to tell me they found a nail and could patch it. I said I was pulling in and he said "great." When I walked in, no customers were at the service desk, yet at least two employees were. They both ignored me for about 10 minutes. Finally, they asked what I needed and I told them that I was there for my car. They checked on it and they HADN'T EVEN STARTED YET. it was now four hours since I had dropped it off, almost three hours since I was told they were starting on it. When I said something to whom I assume was the manager, I was told that there was nothing he could do unless I could say who was helping me. Every interaction I had was with a different employee. Anderson was very friendly, professional, knew about all the brands and how they differed. My BF is knowledgeable and was impressed. They changed the 4 tires and he gave us the best deal possible. Sent car in for brake job. Told us that they would not do the brakes unless we also paid for them to do the routers. (When they only have slight wear, and will not need to be replaced for awhile). Said it was because of "liability". We offered to sign a form to release them from any liability, they refused. Basically tried to scam us out of money. Had battery tested a few weeks ago, was told I needed a new one. Didn't have enough money on me as it turned out I needed a pricey battery. Came back today, stood waiting with two other customers for 15 minutes while no one even acknowledged our existence. Finally after 25 minutes I was told "We don't have time to do it right now". No apology, or even a hint of regret let alone telling me when it could be done. I just walked. Went to Autozone, they checked the battery and pointed out it was fine except only 60% charged and much as we would love to sell you a battery you should get your alternator checked first... AMAZING Customer Service! Friendly, helpful, willing to get more info, good selection of parts, accessories, and tools! Bought a car radio from a different Pep Boys and had to return it. Long story short, Chris, Terry, and Jenifer were SUPERB and AMAZING in helping my husband and I through lost receipts, defective parts, and a new selection of a great radio. They were patient, helpful (Chris even seeking extra help to assist us in determining the problem with the original radio), and professional in all aspects. While I might not understand all the car parts and shop talk, I wouldn't hesitate to go to this specific Pep Boys for all my future car and vehicle related needs. I own a pickup truck I use around the farm, and it is an oldie but goodie. During this hot weather it started to experience some overheating problems. I took it in to a near by Pep Boys hoping they might find the problem, and not break the bank. I truly was overwhelmed in what I received, I met with a service advisor to explain the problem in lay terms. He attentively listen, asking questions along the way. He suggested a reasonably priced diagnoses. Soon after I received a phone call of the work that needed to be done. The final result was the problem was resolved at a lower than expected price.
