Do not bring your car here. We got our brakes "changed" and our rotors changed. After 2 months our car started squealing slightly again but stopped, 2 months later it sounded exactly the same as it did when we took it in to them. Had a different mechanic look at it and they basically explained to us how our brake pads were never changed. They gave us what appeared to be the same brake pads we came in with and only changed the rotors out. Ended up paying $600 for nothing. With a baby on the way this is completely unacceptable. This shop gives pep boys a bad name. If you want to save your time, effort and car do not go here. This shop will just rip you off. If I could give zero stars I definitely would. read more

I always used to come to this location because I trusted them and they were great with their customer service. But today was a complete disappointment. I took my car in and the manager proceeded to tell me that the whole staff was on their lunch break and if I could come back in 20 to 30 minutes when they were done eating. There are no signs on the door stating that they were closed, and they made me feel really uncomfortable and unwelcomed for walking in when I did. I'm all about taking your lunch, but to make your customer feel like crap for just being a customer is such an unprofessional thing to do. I will never be a returning customer to Pep Boys ever again. I was warmly greeted, and one of the employees told me how much he appreciated my business. Another employee assisted me, with such excellent, courteous customer service. I needed a headlight bulb, and was in and out quickly, and on my way. I can tell that customer service is #1 there, along with Pep Boys also valuing their employees, it shows, as they seem happy and proud to work there. What a bunch of bull purchase the battery a while back in 2020 the battery took a poop on me well when the battery was purchased Pep Boys offered a rewards membership which I already was apart of well I use the phone number for my rewards they clearly stated if I lose the receipt all I have to do if I have any issues with the battery is give them my phone number and they'll look it up well I get in contact with a store that I purchased the battery in Hesperia, California They told me they have no way of looking it up that I need to call 1-800 Pep Boys which I did Spoke to more than one person every person I spoke to you told me they have no way of looking up the information because they don't offer it anymore that they need The receipt number which I told him I don't have if they could look it up with my phone number for the rewards card that they offered They were telling me that they don't offer that anymore they have no way of looking it up that I have to get it contact with corporate the number I was calling the 1-800 Pep boys that they would need the store information I purchased it from how long with the last four digits of the credit card that I purchased it with now I have to sit here and wait for them to look up the information which is a bunch of bull all because of this I have to miss work thanks a lot why offer something if you backed out of it now it makes it a lot harder for people that have stuff under warranty through you guys to get their problem solved read more

pep boys on main st Hesperia, Total shit show do not use. made appointment with a commercial truck for 10 am Saturday delivered 8 am Saturday, they didn't bother to call and get the corporate approval and let the truck sit. they call me late sat afternoon to tell me they can't get approval it will have to wait till tomorrow. I agree I get a call at 10am approx. on Sunday saying they still have no approval. I told them I will come pick up the truck. be there in an hour and a half I get a call within 30 min that suddenly they got an approval. Great finish it. 12pm , 1pm ,2pm, 3pm, 4pm, I finally called them to see where the truck is. after the phone ringing continuously for more than 5 min. someone finally answers and tells me the truck is not done. So now I am pissed. I go to pick up the truck. go into the office and ask for the manager, " she is in the bathroom" so i am waiting and the service writer comes in and begins arguing with me , I told them you took advantage of my good nature and now I don't want to hear what you have to say. your working on cars that came after me FOR 5 HOURS NOW! ignoring my truck and tied it up for a whole weekend FOR A SIMPLE OIL CHANGE AND TIRE ROTATION !!!!!!! they don't honor there appointment times. they don't practice due diligence on approvals promptly. they over book and walk over your appointment. the whole time the manager HID IN THE BATHROOM ! and I was stuck dealing with this unethical argumentative service writer. read more

I had a problem with my truck. On a busy weekend afternoon. (Of course!) They got to me as quickly as they could and recommended a new alternator. OK, whatever. Turned out it wasn't the alternator and I still had the same problem! Took my truck back and they refunded the entire charge. And I kept the new alternator . . . or maybe it was a starter. (Don't know, don't care.) After in and out of several other repair shops, the problem turned out to be with the ignition switch on the steering wheel column! That's a long way from the starter. Or alternator. Even though I was disappointed that they didn't fix my truck, they tried and were honest and friendly in dealing with me. I would go back. read more

My Bosch battery was leaking like crazy (bought in Oct 2017) and wouldn't start my car, the battery was corroding the terminals and battery tray in my car. The rude manager refused to replace it because it tested as "good" when I pointed at the leak, rust and how it wouldn't start my car, he said that I need to get it checked by one of his mechanics. I asked him if he would use that battery in his personal car and he just kept quite and said "the battery tested good and I won't replace it." The writer who booked my appt to have my front brakes replaced was very nice and informative about the type of brakes i was looking at to purchase , very nice guy and professional. i believe his name was Joseph. I also liked the mechanic jorge who worked on my tahoe also very informative about why my brakes were going out so fast due to me having 26 inch rims on it lol. I guess thats a no brainer. He also showed me my old brakes without having to ask him. He also showed me how my two front tires are wearing a little so he suggested i have him rotate them at no charge. I brought my car for a change oil, wheel alignment and wiper blade replacement around 830am. I got my vehicle at 530pm. I am disappointed because wheel alignment was not done and oil change not sure if it was done because the maintenance info says it still at 30%. The wheel alignment not completed. I had a pretty disastrous and disappointing experience with another location and I was very dissuaded from ever dealing with another Pep Boys again. I came here to Pep Boys with my Dodge Avenger, after Goodyear tried to charge me 800 dollars for four brake pads and two rotors. I got a speedy estimate over the phone at Pep Boys for $500. So off I went. After the inspection they said the price was lower even to $410. So he offered a tune up and I know my car needed it. And I had them flush out all the lines and replace all the spark plugs and it still didn't cost 800 dollars. My car got a complete make over in about 2 hours for about $650. I'd recommend Pep Boys on Bear Valley in Victorville. I'm not sure if it's the cheapest place in town but they got the job done and in my opinion, at reasonable price. read more

Took my truck In for new tires had an apt got there a half an hour early and was there three hours. They finally got my truck in, once it was done and I left I noticed my truck was pulling to the right. Don't know what kind of alignment they did but apparently they messed up. I asked what things , they said tie rods and wheel bearings , I just had those exact things replaced a week ago, and told them that, then they changed their tune and continued with the alignment , But didn't even do it compmetely, they said I needed a camber kit, which the car has one already installed, the dumb idiot tech didn't even notice, and also they didn't even try to inform me of my unsafe tires Which I would have bought from them if they had told me. I was driving to Las Vegas on the Friday of Labor Day weekend and heard a horrible scraping noise while I was in the desert. I had a million thoughts going through my head: will I make it town, do I need to cancel the trip, will it cost a ton of money to fix... Once I got to town, I stopped and someone told me that Pep Boys would be my best bet for car repair. I tried my best to stay calm, but once I got there, I was pretty emotional. but Sal and his team were so kind and understanding. Sal explained that they were pretty busy due to the holiday weekend, but he looked at my car right away, and explained that it was a common problem - a plate had come off the bottom and could be removed and I could still drive the car safely to Las Vegas. I had a great experience at this pep boys location! I have a credit card for them so I tend to always go to pep boys, I just moved to the high desert and went to another location on Main Street and had awful service and didn't feel like they cared for my customer needs. Thursday morning I went to this location and ask if I could be out by 945, it was currently 845 and Sal and Joseph were amazing and on top of it and I left there at 915 with car checked out and oil change and let happy and smiling for my busy day! I highly recommend this location and the staff here is very helpful and on top of things, even if they were busy and slow or were out of what I needed I would still come to them because they made me as a customer feel important!
