My tires sitting while other cars are being worked on.

Avoid this place if you can!! I bought four tires from tire rack-- delivered here. Scheduled an appointment to have them installed on a Saturday at 1pm. Dropped it offer early and it took 5 hours to install (with an appointment). When I inspected the work, two of the four tires were installed wrong. (Directional tires) at a tire shop they can't figure it out. I luckily had time to go back a few days later and it takes them well over 3 hours to take off two tires and correct their mistake. Like I started-- avoid this place if you can!! Kofi the front desk guy flat out lied about timing when I sat and watched the techs work on other tires and cars. When he told me I would be pushed up the line for the inconvenience you all caused. Mind you not one person on the pepboys team apologized for the mistake they made or the inconvenience of wasting my time.

Engine Light on after service

Wouldn't recommend first time at pep boys had my car for 3+ hours and ordered the wrong part gave then grace for it to only then have my vehicle returned back to me with an engine light. Was told by the mechanic that it was nothing to worry about only for my car to enter limp mode a couple miles away from my house. Told them about the issue and was told I would have to pay for the tow even thought they had caused the issue. Had to spend almost a thousand to fix a problem they had caused with another mechanic. Please do not let them touch the engine compartment of your car.

I had a great experience at this Pep Boys location! Z treated me like family and figured out the crazy problem with my van! It was the wiring that got messed up by rodents. What a great team to solve any problem and leave you feeling good!

First it's 8:12 p.m. as I write this and I'm sitting in the Lobby with others. I'm not the only one waiting on my car. This is actually a good comment because if they close at 8:00 p.m. each of them could have clocked out and been on their way home to their families. But they are still working hard. I got here at 7:40 p.m. they close at 8:00 p.m. they could have said I needed to leave the key and come in the a.m. but they didn't. Jose and his team agreed to help me. I'm beyond relieved that they gave me grace. PepBoys your team in the service department is amazing! I'm so grateful for them! Thanks to all of you. I know there are bad reviews but it's true that someone will take more time and energy to write a bad review verses a good one. Glad I'm Elite and glad my review will be at Top. These guys are awesome. Nothing but amazing service for me.

My rating is base on the cuatomer service at the service front desk.. So i went in there today to buy a brake lamb and i was help very fast and the whole thing was very nice and fast. The store was very clean and totally loaded with all car stuff which i find very useful.. The problem was when i went to the service dest to get it installed i had to wait 20 minutes before anyone could notice me. The guy was speaking in spanish and joking and customer are waiting. After 20 minutes he saidnits gonna take 2hrs to get it fix because everybody was busy. Are you kidding me?? 2 hrs just to chamge a lamb???? So i ened ended up leaving and doing it myself. Worse customer service ever.

You can seriously see the lack of pride. Didn't clean my new tire and left off my caps!!

To make matters worse all four of these tires are basically new and less than 30 days old! Anyway, this whole thing was driving me nuts, so I started shopping around for a place. I remembered this local place that allowed you to drive up for on-the-spot repair and they work on your tire(s) while you wait in your car, so I decided to give them a try and I'm really glad I did. When I arrived there were a couple of cars ahead of me, which wasn't a big deal since this place is similar to a drive-thru you allowing you to conveniently wait your turn in your car. They work pretty quickly here and before I knew it I'm pulling forward to get my tire looked at. The mechanic was friendly, respectful, and took the time to listen to what was going on with my tire. He quickly got the tire off, diagnosed the problem, and explained what needed to be done in plain language. The problem was with the valve stem, which had a leak. The mechanic got right to work making the repair and explaining to me what he was doing. The work was done efficiently and correctly, and he made sure everything was explained to my satisfaction. There was no pressure, no upselling, and no runaround; just honest work and solid service. Oh, and the cost of this repair was less than 25 bucks! I couldn't believe I received this much service and such great work at this price point. What makes this place stand out to me is the customer service from all of the staff, but in particular the mechanics themselves that are actually working on your car. Usually, the people working on your car are hidden in a garage somewhere while you wait in a waiting room, so you never actually meet the mechanic working on your car. At Mac's you are up close and personal to the mechanic. That's a huge plus in my book. You can tell this is a local business that actually cares about its reputation and all of the customers coming there. It's the kind of shop where they remember you, talk to you with respect, and make sure you leave satisfied. If you're tired of chain shops and want to support a local business that does quality work and treats customers right, this is the place to go. They earned my trust, and I'll definitely be back for future tire and service needs. Highly recommended!

I am including a brief description of the condition of the vehicle when I arrived at Radial Tire Monday (2/16/26) at 2:00pm. The receiving manager and I discussed the tire issues and history. I told him I had a service light in the dash that was saying a tire was low on air and they were new tires (vs the previous service light for sensors not functioning). He measured the tire pressure of all the tires and they were all at different psi (33, 34, 42 and 18). My vehicle was placed in a service line and I waited in a lobby for approximately an hour. Radial tires took the low tire off the vehicle and tested it for leaks and determined the problem was that a valve stem hadn't been correctly sealed, the tires were all fine. Before leaving the work bay, I noticed the sensor light was still on, so a retest determined the driver's front sensor was going bad and it was replaced. The service manager told me Toyota and Lexus have challenging tire sensors, that they can often get one sensor working and the computer will then say another good sensor stopped working. I left Radial Tire around 4:30, problems solved and paid for one new sensor and install. I've had several people tell me Radial Tire is the BEST in this area and they will have all of my business in the future and that of anyone I know. I brought four wheels to Radial Tire to have a new set of all-seasons mounted and balanced. My car runs a staggered setup, meaning the rear wheels and tires are physically wider than the fronts. Since I maintain a small fleet of my own vehicles, I do almost all my own mechanical work, but tire mounting is one of the few things I have to outsource. Unfortunately, this experience highlighted a critical breakdown in basic quality control. I brought the wheels in loose to make the job as straightforward as possible for the shop, but they sat there for a few days before being touched. When I finally picked them up, I noticed the front tires were stretched onto the wider rear wheels, and vice versa. While the team corrected the mistake immediately once it was pointed out, this isn't just a minor technical oversight. Mismatched staggered tires can lead to a catastrophic bead failure or blowout at highway speeds. It is a severe safety hazard that could easily cause a fatal accident if it goes unnoticed before the wheels are bolted onto a vehicle. On top of the critical mounting error, the general pride in workmanship was non-existent. The wheels were handed back to me covered in caked-on mounting paste all over the outer rims without even a basic effort to wipe them down. To make matters worse, the shop also misplaced the summer tires I explicitly stated I wanted to keep. Management did the right thing by waiving the mounting and balancing fee, but at the end of the day, I am still short a set of my own property. I understand that mistakes happen, but a triple failure of safety verification, basic cleanliness, and property management means I can't risk bringing my vehicles back here, nor can I recommend them to any of the local car groups I'm a part of.

I initially called to confirm the tire size on my truck, which I originally purchased from this location about two years ago, as I was considering getting replacement tires from the Chevy dealership on highway 210 in Maryland. However, after speaking with Dwayne and receiving a quote for the same tires I previously purchased, my plans changed immediately. Dwayne was patient, attentive, and genuinely committed to helping me. He took the time to research the information I needed, called me back promptly, and kept me informed throughout the process. That level of communication and professionalism speaks volumes about his customer service skills. Even with the location's busy schedule, he never appeared irritated or rushed, even when I had to call him back multiple times. When I arrived, I did not have a long wait because the tires had already been ordered earlier that morning. Dwayne continued to keep me updated and assured me that my truck would be taken care of with great attention and care. This is the type of customer service--and fair pricing--that creates loyal, repeat customers. The store manager, Jessica Paredes (though at the time I didn't know she was the manager), asked what I meant. I explained that the older woman who usually works the front has always been mean, dismissive, and honestly difficult to deal with. I arrived today expecting the same attitude. But today was a GOOD day--no attitude, no nasty looks, no negative energy. I was relieved and truly happy, especially for a Friday. Jessica apologized for my past experiences and shared that she was the new manager. I immediately told her I would definitely be returning as a customer. Honestly, the only reason I gave the location another chance was because I didn't feel like driving farther--but I'm glad I did. Dwayne, who assisted me first, was also extremely helpful and kept me updated on the status of my vehicle. And I have to give a huge shoutout to Mr. Clarence, the mechanic--he is absolutely awesome and highly professional. His expertise and thoroughness gave me confidence that my vehicle was in great hands. From a customer's perspective, the front desk is the first point of contact, and the person in that role should understand just how important customer service truly is. Customers should always feel welcomed, valued, and comfortable--especially when spending their hard-earned money.
