Went back again and it didn't disappoint. The bowl packed in with good flavors to a point I'm sniffling and sweating because of the mild spicy flavor of the curry chicken meat so tender and the cabbage is cooked just right not hard....the rice and peas was so good well cooked not hard it's closer to my home cooking. I love how the vibes inside is chill and music playing good old school Jamaican music. I know i have choices to buy golden krust to get these food choices but I will choose Peppa's all the time 1st. This always hits my tastes different. Welp I will be back again and the staff are so sweet to speak with soft tone and take their time with how they serve the bowl....very good vibes

Kudos to whomever decorated the space. The Jamaican yardie-inspired decor, down to the barrel tables, adds to the comfortable and inviting feel. The music is also on point. The service was friendly and fast. Jerk pasta with oxtails was fire! The oxtails were well-seasoned and tender. I'll be back the next time I am in the area.

I ordered Mac n cheese and jerk pork. first off it's not jerk pork without jerk seasoning. the pork wasn't seasoned at all. secondly Mac n Cheese Caribbean style suppose to be backed in an oven not stove top prepared with a lot of white cheese as if it was pasta. thirdly I didn't get my plantains I paid for. very very unsatisfying food and for a "CARIBBEAN RESTAURANT" this isn't a good representation of Authentic Caribbean food plus portion side is not even enough for one person. So so upset.

Jerk wings, Mac n cheese, rice and peas, veggies/cabbage , strawberry lemonade, and mango lemonade. $32

I had this delicious taste in my mind from eating something here from 2 years ago so when I ate today it was not the same. It wasn't the same chicken but definitely the Mac/cheese wasn't the best for me but I was alright. The beverages was decent, had light strawberry taste and mango taste since it was a lemonade idea, lots of sugar to make it sweet so it felt like cool aid concept. The jerk wings did not give jerk seasoning like a typical jerk and definitely was not spicy. $32 worth filled me up alright but definitely didn't feel too worth the price as I did not enjoy it that much.

Liked this. Don't get to eat Caribbean cuisine much, so really enjoyed it. Got the jerk pork and it was good but just too fatty. Overall, great though.

Peppa's Jerk Chicken Was surfing down Lower manhattan one day and saw this place was packed with people ordering so decided to give it a try on the following week at around 5pm and there was no wait. Glad to see a new addition of flavor in the neighborhood. You order with the cashier, pay for your food, and step to the side as they prep and prepare your take away bag. We order, Jerk Chicken with Rice Platter From "Di Yard" section of the menu. It was $12 for Jerk Chicken alone and we needed a side so we got the rice, plantains, cabbage extra $5. Added bbq sauce to our platter. Jerk chicken have a lot of flavor and the meat comes off naturally from the bone. Jerk Pork $13.50 with Mac and cheese $5. The pork was flavorful too. I like how there are some fat to the meat. Mac and cheese was great too. Both were generous portion size.

Really excited to have a casual, counter service style Jamaican restaurant here in the heart of LES. I was only familiar with the nearby Omar's for Caribbean food, but it's more upscale and I'm glad there's another (slightly more affordable) option in the area now. Tonight I got to try the "world famous" jerk chicken and the oxtail. The flavors and sauce were definitely there for the jerk chicken, but the chicken itself was a little disappointing - somewhat dry and hard/overcooked. The oxtail, however, was fire. I'd recommend that over the chicken for sure. Both meats went perfectly well with the rice and peas and cabbage. The portions are HUGE so it's well worth the price. I'm curious about the plantains and the jerk wings - hopefully those are better than the chicken platter.

Big Up to Peppa's being in manhattan. I used to go to the original store when I stayed in Brooklyn so I'm glad to see a stable like this make its way to the city. Overall the space is pretty small but I would recommend it for a quick bite with friend and even a small date night. But you can definitely come here to get food to go. They also serves drink. I had the peace margarita and ohhhweeee. The service was great. No complaints here. I had the oxtail and peppa Mac which is a special take on Rasta pasta. I would definitely stop by again if I'm near the area

The restaurant has become…read morea favorite among the Gen Z crowd, and after one bite of its signature chili-fried chicken, it's easy to understand why. The chicken is crunchy, intensely flavorful, and carries just the right amount of heat. Each piece is buttermilk-brined, country-fried, and dusted with Sichuan peppercorns, Tianjin chilis, and five-spice, creating a combination that's spicy, numbing, savory, and deeply addictive all at once. But the menu goes beyond the famous fried chicken. Seasonal dishes rotate regularly, alongside standout chicken sandwiches and wings that deserve just as much attention. There's an energy to the food that feels modern without losing sight of technique or tradition. That balance comes directly from chef and founder Eric Huang. Huang grew up working in his family's Chinese restaurant while training as a cellist at Juilliard School before eventually abandoning music. After a detour studying history at Northwestern University, he committed fully to cooking and spent more than a decade training in some of NYC's most prominent kitchens, including Cafe Boulud, Gramercy Tavern, and Eleven Madison Park. As a sous chef at Eleven Madison Park, he was part of the team that helped the restaurant earn the title of "Best Restaurant in the World" in 2017. Like many chefs, Huang's plans changed dramatically in 2020 when the pandemic interrupted his ambitions of opening a Michelin-starred restaurant. Instead, he returned home to help save his family's struggling business. Out of that difficult moment came the dish that would define Pecking House: the now-famous Sichuan chili country fried chicken, reportedly perfected on the very first attempt. Pecking House succeeds because it combines serious culinary pedigree with food that's delicious, craveable, and unpretentious. The fried chicken alone is worth the trip and the long line.

I was surprised to find that it's a ghost kitchen. You walk behind the coffee shop and order from a kiosk with many other restaurants to order from as well. My order took 15 minutes and within the estimated time frame that they gave you. Once my order was ready, I clicked to open via text and the locker popped open with my bag --viola! I ordered the Claude the Claw ($18.99) with medium spicy sauce on the side. The sandwich is pretty huge. I like how they wrapped the sandwich around the claw sticking out from the bottom. I did take it out of the wrapper for the picture, but suggest you keep the wrapper on as it gets messy to eat. The spices and flavor is delicious and the chicken is crispy and tender. It's a great Nashville hot chicken sandwich overall. While the claw is insta-worthy, it's not quite worth the extra $4 (plus you can't really even eat it, so it's all for show). I'd suggest getting the claw for your first time, but I'd get the regular sandwich in the future for the lower price.

I went here a while back to order lunch for takeout, and it was pretty good. After they opened, they added some specials ranging from $15 to $17, combining chicken with fries or dumplings, and I went with the sweet and spicy boneless chicken with standard fries, as you can also update the fries to the "spicy snow" version for an extra $1. The cashier was friendly. The sweet and spicy chicken is their version of Yangnyeom/양념치킨, and the combo came with a few moderately sized pieces. The breading was crispy, and the chicken inside was pretty tender. There was some sweetness, and it had a mild kick, though it wasn't as spicy as I prefer. The fries inside were OK. They had a good crisp to them and a good crunch, but needed a tad more salt. The fry portion was also much larger, so next time, I would just stick with the chicken. The free kimchi was standard and decent. This was a perfectly decent Korean chicken spot. If it were any closer to a Korean neighborhood, I doubt it would be doing well, but there is a distinct lack of Korean places nearby outside of the primarily takeout spot, which doesn't specialize at all in chicken. It fills a niche, and I would likely at some point stop in again to try their Korean chicken sandwich or their plain chicken to try more of their sauces.
