Where in the US can you go to experience amazing live taken for only $10z the Green Lady Lounge is…read morewhere you go! Clean, smoke free lively jazz music and plenty of seating. There's two levels of entertainment. The service was friendly. Only thing is that they don't have food so eat beforehand. There was a hummus plate and some desserts. We had soooo much fun. Such talented musicians. This was a must visiting from LA!

Even walking in, we weren't quite sure what to expect. The entrance is small, and you're greeted right away, which was a nice touch. Once inside, it's very dark with deep red lighting--almost like stepping into a cave. It took a moment for our eyes to adjust, but once they did, we immediately felt at ease. The space is cozy and perfectly aligned with its purpose: it's all about the jazz. The service was great--welcoming, attentive, and added to the overall experience without taking away from the music. And the music? Absolutely captivating. It pulls you in and transports you--you can't help but settle into the vibe and just enjoy the moment together. We went on a Monday, so there was plenty of seating, but I noticed there's also a lower level that likely accommodates larger weekend crowds. There's a solid drink menu and a small selection of food, but honestly, this isn't the place you come for a full meal. Come for the drinks, stay for the music, and soak in the atmosphere.

Really good sports bar! We were in town for the Argentina vs Algeria World Cup game and wanted…read moresomewhere to watch the other games the night before so we headed to old city! There was a concert of some type happening on top of the World Cup madness and it was absolute pandemonium!! It was amazing! So naturally, after partying and screaming through games, at the end of the night we wanted grub and this was one of the few still serving food. Service wasn't bad at all despite the crowded madness. We walked in and found a table ourselves as the host was MIA and then asked someone to clean it for us. Eventually, Casey W. made his way to our table to take our orders. At first he said kitchen was closing and that our food would take about 45 mins but we didn't care and said we were fine with the wait. After all, it was 11:30 at night and the place was packed! Drinks: I was the only one that had a cocktail, my boys had beers. I had the "blue balls" which was pretty good! Food: we had the mango habanero and Wilson's sauce wings with fries and 12 inch pizza because he said they were out of the bigger one. Wings and fries came out first and were so hot and fresh. I loved the mango habanero with pieces of jalapeño on it. The Wilson's sauce wasn't bad either. The ranch though?!? Seriously, KC might have the best ranch I ever had! The pizza came out not too long after and it was SO good! It was thin crust, very fresh, with chicken, mushroom, and jalapeños. It had the perfect amount of sauce and the flavor was just soo good! Didn't even get a pic because it got attacked soon as it hit the table!

The place was busy with the line going out the door. I felt the cherry pop cocktail was weak. We ordered chicken lettuce wraps that were decent and filling for two.

If you like microbreweries, this is a must stop for a few+++. Jason is a fun bartender and Mark,…read morethe brewmaster, can be found sitting at the bar or sometimes bartending. It was a first visit in the area and we decided to walk from the hotel to the micro breweries that were close (there's a dozen or so within 1 mile) YEAH!! This one though was definitely one we will visit again. We did a flight and some additional samples. I'm usually a Hazy IPA - which was excellent - but every beer there was sooo good! I could have had a pint of any of them and been amazed. Cheers Mark and Team! We will be back!!

Border Brewing used to be one of my favorite places to meet friends and unwind after work. It…read morerelaxed atmosphere that made it easy to recommend. Unfortunately, that has changed. During my recent visits, I repeatedly observed behavior from one of the bartenders that made the environment feel uncomfortable and unprofessional. This man has frequently crossed personal boundaries and generally came across as someone who was more interested in making female patrons uncomfortable than providing good service. Instead of feeling like a place where everyone could relax, the atmosphere felt like a boys' club where inappropriate behavior was tolerated. The biggest disappointment wasn't just the employee's conduct--it was the lack of action or acknowledgement by management that concerns are taken seriously. Instead of addressing complaints, they move to suppress reviews. When an establishment allows and enables behavior that makes customers feel uncomfortable or unsafe, it reflects on the business as a whole. I used to recommend Border Brewing without hesitation, but I can't anymore. There are plenty of breweries in Kansas City where everyone can enjoy themselves without worrying about being subjected to inappropriate comments or an unwelcoming atmosphere.
