We just ate at this place and we had a really bad experience. The customer service was not good. We were there for lunch and they have a sign with the lunch special, if you get the specials you better not be hungry because the portion was so small. Our waitress was very rude and gave us an attitude over and over again. We asked to speak with a manager and she said: well, if you don't speak Italian you can't talk to her. The lady behind the counter who just spoke Italian looked very angry the entire time we were there ! Bad vibes , we didn't feel comfortable and welcome there. Prices were very high for what it was and the place does not have a good atmosphere. The service was so slow, even to pay the bill it took forever! The 5 stars is for the quality & true Italian authenticity of the food. Atmosphere is one of a strip mall cafe, but really, don't you want your food to be 5 stars? We recently returned from a Italy and are always on the hunt for real Italian food. Peppi's pizza was it. The dough was thin, crunchy and chewy and delicious. This mom and pop pizzeria has been a long time family favorite of mine for over 10 yrs. My grandmother, having been an Italian native ALWAYS ordered from here if she didn't have the energy to cook a pasta dinner for our family gatherings. Peppi and his wife were always there to great her and even help her to the car at times. I hadn't eaten here in at least 5 years but was craving it so we ordered the family style spaghetti takeout and I am so glad we did!!!! The pasta, sauce, meatballs and sausage taste EXACTLY how I remember them!!! The only difference was the bread which was an upgrade from what I remember. The portions were HUGE to me. It was only me and my 3 kids but we got 4 dishes of spaghetti and literally only ate one!!! The cannolis were also authentic and DELISH!!!! So glad they are still here because I will definitely be ordering again soon! read more

Pretty good pizza but horrendously slow service. It has 15 tables about and literally there was a point when every table had ordered and not a single one had their pizza. Our food took 45 minutes and waitress never once came by. I will say that the owner (a charming character came by and apologized for the wait). The real kicker was after about 30 minutes when I carried my 2 year old son up to the counter to watch them making pizza. One of the cooks (guy with facial hair and wedding band) sneezed into his bare hand and didn't hesitate for a second to put his hand right back in and keep making pies. read more

Real deal thin crust pizza with just the right amount of crispness and chew. Generous and tasty toppings, especially the rich and buttery cheese. The pies are light on sauce, which lets the flavor of the ingredients really shine. Some of the best pizza in Naples by far. I know it's a matter of debate, but Peppi's has my vote as the best pizzeria in Naples. PIzza's are thin, very crispy. Tomato sauce is fresh and acidic, pasta dishes are also well prepared and authentic. Great fresh baked garlic bread too. read more

We had the white pizza which was a bit heavier than some of the other white pizza's that we have had at other restaurants. I have finally found a good place to order pizza. We had a large pizza with ricotta, sausage, spinach and mushrooms. The crust was nice and crispy and there was a generous amount of ricotta, a bit skimpy on the spinach. I believe the mushrooms were canned, that's the only drawback to the pizza. Next time I will order a pizza with red sauce and inquire about those mushrooms! read more

Was referred by another pizza place, to try. Atmosphere is very typical pizzeria up north. Tables are tight but manageable. Considering it is season in Naples, the wait wasn't ridiculous and one of the staff seemed to keep the tables full and the wait as short as possible. There obviously isn't enough service staff, and after the initial drink order, the service was almost non existent. It seemed the waitress could only concentrate on one table. We ordered several pizzas to test place. While it was reasonably tasty, the crust under the cheese and sauce was chewy and the crust dull and not airy and crisp. While it was better than some in area, it was certainly not going to be my stop. read more

Last night I ordered a Margherita Pizza (with added ham) to go. It was like eating a round bread with tomato sauce, where was the cheese and seasonings? That's too bad because we live only one mile from Peppi's Pizzeria and try it every couple of years hoping it will improve and it only gets worse. We go out of our way to support locally owned businesses so it is difficult to write this (honest) review. We will not be going back to Peppi's.
