I was blown away by my experience at Percy's. We need a new fridge / freezer unit and decided to give Percy's a shot. Our salesman's name was Nicolae and he couldn't have been more friendly / knowledgable. A+. He walked over to us 30 seconds after we walked in to ask if we needed help. We ended up buying an LG fridge and when we were on our way out, we saw that they had an Outlet room with many floor models on display. We looked around and found an unbelievable GE Profile ( a much more expensive model ) unit for a huge discount (1/2 off). I asked a salesman why it was marked down so much, (it turned out he was the owner, Alan Percy!) He said some had small scratches, some they just needed to move. We told him we are also looking for a high end range and hood. He told us the Outlet has incredible deals on both regular and luxury brands, and to check it daily to see what is in inventory. I asked if it would be difficult to change our minds and get the GE Fridge instead of the LG unit we had already purchased. He said "Whatever makes you happy". Try doing that at Lowes and see what they do! It's obvious that Percy's owners spend quite a bit of time focused on the culture and making sure it is customer service oriented. When you see one of the owners there, working the floor on a Saturday afternoon in August, you can see why the store runs so well. Most owners would be on vacation. As a retired Kitchen designer I know the difficulty of finding a replacement for a built in appliance. I did about 3 to 4 weeks of research to find one that fit the existing space. I called Percy's and spoke with Meira Kaplan who found the right oven to fit into the space for me a team of professionals to remove the old wall oven and install the new one . In less than a week I had a new working oven and I am very pleased not only with the installation but the service I received with Meira Kaplan who kept me informed every step of the way. We've experienced great customer service at Percy's over the last seven years, since we moved to this area. They are very knowledgeable when it comes to appliances and have a good selection, including items that the big box stores may not carry. And when appliance trouble does occur, the Percy's support team gets involved quickly to help with any issues, including manufacturer issues, which the manufacturers are often reticent to address. This has happened several times (twice with Bosch), where Percy's was instrumental in helping us get service issues resolved. When we need new appliances, as we did with a recent 6-year-old Bosch refrigerator which died, Percy's is our go to appliance store. During our recent visit there, they were providing complimentary lunch cooked on location by the talented chef Sara Tercero. That was a great perk! read more

Let's see.... a fridge, 2 stoves, recliners and a loveseat to name a few over the years. I haven't had a chance until today to sit and say. The products were substandard. They failed early, they weren't abused by my 70 year old parents! When the fridge died after 6 years, ok... could have been anything..... but how did they handle....no help at all...did you have a warranty ?... Yes, we did.... for how long? 5 years. Can't help you. Nothing. Ok. The padding in the recliner failed after 1 year of use .... 1 year! Reply from them ( we wouldn't want to use any kind of descriptor here that might cause a millenial to wince) ? Sorry, you needed the other warranty not the stain warranty. No help, again. Call in, leave a message.... no one calls back. Go in and see them, they won't do anything. The stove, 4 years old, failed......we ended up buying the parts and repairs were done by our handy man. With all due respect - this is bad. It's not about the product value, that's lacking. It's not about the failures of all these things. It's about your epic lack of customer service. Sell crap, don't stand behind it that's ok for you, make your money and be transactional in nature, since it works for the ex president it'll work for you, right? WRONG. Learn how to say, so sorry and how about let's give you a discount on something comparable and get you something you'll enjoy and keep you a happy client ? Nope. They had a dozen chances. I recently purchased a full suite of appliances for my kitchen and worked with Matt Wass. he was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, from helping with options to fit some unique sizing requirements to patiently answering a lot of my questions about quality, utility and features. We need to get a refrigerator for our Garage since our old one after 20+ yrs stopped working. So we weren't fussy about some dents/scratches etc. we got a great buy at a brand new Refrigerator everything inside was still wrapped in plastic and intact. Just a few dents/scratches. Of course we could have had it delivered for additional $100 but we had a truck. Spent less than $500 for a full size fridge and brand new to boot. Obviously we had good timing with the the selection they had. We did have to wait for the person I spoke with and everyone was wearing masks and adhering to the 6 ft protocol. read more

Bought dishwasher, at Percys in Worcester ma.... first load and soap pods were sitting in bottom of dishwasher, called Percy's, to say this thing is faulty from start can i just get a new one, they said they would sent someone out who stated motor not working right, was told he would order, called and called for 2 weeks and wouldn't answer, Percy's tried to call him but no answer and were going to wait til they heard from him, UNACCEPTABLE. I called Frigidaire my self and was told nothing was ordered. Lady on phone ordered it right there and sent someone else out who said its not motor, maybe the hose needs to have higher loop in back. Told Percy's this and they told me to tie up hose on back, I did and then machine wouldn't drain at all. Was told to lower hose and did it. still not letting soap pods out. Can i get a new one, no its too late for that have to call insurance, tried again and it overflowed again. Called Percy's and was told that insurance not going to try and fix and is leaving me a credit for a new one at the front desk . Told then i was throwing this one out and had water to clean up and would come in by end of week for another one. When I get there she says i needed you to keep the machine to give back to them but when called Frigidaire they said Percy's was supposed to tell me just to keep the serial tag from the unit and bring to her. They said my beef is with Percy's for not telling me that when they knw i was throwing it away.. DONT HAVE IT and she knows i got rid of it. NOW I cant get the credit without the tag. There are four appliance centers near where I live. I did research and wanted to buy a specific model washer on tax-free weekend. I chose Percy's for a few reasons: 1. They had what I wanted. 2. They were open on Sunday. 3. Their website clearly stated what was in stock. I'm giving them five stars and will go out of my way to use them again because: 1. I had trouble ordering from their website (turns out it was because of my credit card.) When I clicked on Live Chat I got the manager. He took my order over the phone and was very helpful. (Also, I liked that he said, "Ok, my friend.") 2. He accidentally put the 6-foot hoses on the order instead of the 4-foot ones I wanted, but when I emailed customer service they changed it immediately and sent me a new order confirmation. 3. Delivery was scheduled for just a few days later. They came when they said they would (actually they were about 10 minutes early). 4. The installation guys just left. They were extremely fast and professional. I can't believe how easily they carried my old washer down the stairs and out; it must have been about 30 seconds. They installed my washer, leveled it, and tested it. So all-in-all, this was a great shopping experience and I'll use them again next time I need an appliance. read more

You can not go wrong with this local Worcester company. We purchased appliances Aug of 2020 thinking we would be ready for them by Dec, turns out due to so many issues with getting our project done we have just received the appliances Dec 2021. They stored them for 16 months, delivered them within a few days notice and went above and beyond to get them into our house - the refrigerator would not fit. I asked them to leave it in the garage and the contractor would get it inside, I came back out to the house and they had brought it in around the back of the house, over dug up lawn, mud, sand and lifted it up into the house so we would have it in safely. You would never get that with a big box store. I imagine they are under orders to deliver it inside, unbox it and take pictures to show the items are not damaged, a thorough and fair process but they definitely had to work to get them in. Be patient, there are so many problems with getting items in, it is not their fault. I'm guessing their jobs have probably not been easy this last year and a half but they really are great. read more

I've been a customer of Percy's for a long time, but hadn't shopped there in a while. When I bought my house in 2002, I bought a refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, above the stove microwave, washer, and dryer. Great experience. Fast forward 16 years and my wife and I were in the market to replace all of the appliances in the kitchen as part of a complete renovation. We shopped the big box appliance stores, department stores, and home improvement stores. We were driving through Worcester and I saw the Percy's sign and thought, "Oh yeah, Percy's", so we decided to check it out. Soooo glad we did. The store was closing in about 45 minutes and we met Product Specialist David Brown, who was amazing. Just fantastic customer service and treated us like we were the first customers of the day. He took the time to listen to what we wanted and made suggestions for a GE package of appliances that we saw on Percy's website. He dug around and found us some rebates, which made the purchase even cheaper. The next day when we went in to pay, I thought, "OK, here we go. He said it was going to be one price, but suddenly there were unexpected costs, right?" Nope. Almost to the penny, it was EXACTLY what he said it would cost. I should've know. David is a rock star ... friendly, no pressure, and really knows his stuff. He even helped when it turned out the refrigerator wouldn't fit through any door in our (older) house (my fault, should've measured better). I called David and told him the size of the door opening and he did all of the work to find a fridge that would fit. He even gave us a discount on the restocking fee. Percy's is definitely our first stop the next time we need an appliance (washer and dryer probably have a year or two left). Love supporting a locally-owned store like Percy's. Had to get a new Washing Machine because mine developed a leak. I had ordered one to be delivered and installed by Best Buy but they screwed me by cancelling my delivery the night before with no warning and no reason given. I reached Percy's thru their online chat hoping for a same day delivery because I'm an "essential" employee with little time off. After my order they were able to get it delivered in a few hours. It was just my order of deliveries on the delivery truck that day. Even though the cost was a bit higher than my budget allows, I'm happy to get it all done on my day off. Bought a fridge from their clearance section the week leading up to the tax free weekend. The sales person was super helpful and helped me zero in on the unit, which happened to have ZERO damage. Wrote up my order and took my credit card information and wrote up the order during tax free weekend. When the fridge was delivered, the freezer door was damaged and their customer service got a new one ordered for me. The vendor they had to go through was NOT responsive and Percy's customer service took over and helped made the connection each time! They even called back to make sure that the door got ordered and appointment made for the replacement! I would definitely go back to them if I need to buy another appliance! Just not so keen on the 3rd party they have to use if any parts need to be replaced... but at least you have their customer service to help and they don't just hand you over and leave you. read more

Buyer beware!!!!! Absolutely disgusted with the warranty department. Our refridgerator broke last November and was covered under warranty. A company came out to assess and was coming back the following week to fix it. In the meantime Percey's called to say they cancelled that company and were sending another company for a second opinion. That company also ordered parts that were shipped to my house. I tried to schedule a visit and Percy's stated they couldn't send anyone because they were waiting on parts despite my telling them they were at my house. I received a text from Percy's asking about how the fixing process was going. I relayed all of my above frustrations. No one returned a text or phone call. Despite my husband and I both calling several times over multiple months, we were still told they are waiting on parts. I called again a full year later to be told "our records indicate your refrigerator was fixed and the warranty is expired" I missed 3 days from work for people to come to my house and still have a broken appliance. I am beyond frustrated as well as disgusted in Percy's and I will NEVER buy a single thing from them again. Why buy an extended warranty if they won't honor it?! read more

In addition to buying two appliances, I purchased the 5-year appliance warranties from Percy's. What the sales person did NOT make clear is that Percy's does NOT service what they sell. These warranty policies are expensive ($250 for stove and $200 for range hood), but they are NOT worth it. All you get is directed and redirected and misdirected - from the warranty policy holder (New Leaf) to the repair companies they try to find for you. Hmm, do you really think that an appliance repair company in Vermont is going to come to Mass. to service a stove. No! To all consumers looking to buy new appliances, do your homework before you buy from Percy's. They may offer competitive pricing, but they do not stand behind what they sell and service it. My experience with Percy's has been horrible. I was not given a delivery window the day before delivery (as I was promised) and could not get in touch with anyone to find out when I would need to be home. On top of that, the tracking that they hyped up in the store as being such a great feature did not work as I was told it was not entered properly into the system. I then had to take time off from work as I was not sure when they would be there. The people who came to deliver/install the machines did not come prepared and had to use my tools/parts as well as leave and go to the warehouse for additional tools they did not bring with them despite being needed for installation. I acknowledge that I bought a "scratch and dent" machine, but was assured that the functionality of the machine would not be affected. Unfortunately, this was not true. After using the machine once, I noticed a leak. When I called to report this to Percy's, they sent my information to an outside repair service. When that repair person was finally able to get out to examine the machine, he said that the dent in the machine did in fact impair the functionality and I should not use the machine until he could repair it because it would just make it worse. So now it has been nearly 3 weeks without being able to use a washing machine and it will be almost another week until the "unusual parts" that need to be replaced can be installed. I bought a washing machine a year and a half ago and I will say its been a good machine . The reason I decided to write a review is because I got taken to the cleaners with Percy's alternate finance program for those with not so perfect credit . I suppose I should have paid attention to understand what I was getting into but I needed the machine so I was in a quandry . It took me 9 months to pay it off that is a machine that cost 715.78 with the final cost being 1753.08 . Now maybe thats normal to some people but to me it seems like loan sharking . I hope this helps anyone applying for credit to know Percy's secondary credit is pretty dicey . I believe that you have 3 months to pay it off before things get expensive . read more

We bought all our appliances from Percy's when building our new home. Our washer is so loud it vibrates the entire house. I've had to numerous to count service appointments to evaluate what was wrong. Always told there is nothing yet it sounds and feel Like an airplane is landing in my house whenever it is on the spin cycle. It literally moves. After all the $ we spend getting literally every appliance from them while building our new home you would think they would do a trade or buy back program instead of giving me the run around for 1.5 years. Consumer beware!!! I couldn't give any less than one star for this review... It's been close to two months we are dealing with a repair that hasn't been fixed yet. Just when you think you are buying a quality brand name, since their prices are very high, our high end refrigerator which we paid close to $2500+$250 for a 5 year (no lemon) warranty with Percy's, it broke in less than 3 years. Between dealing with the appliance store we purchase it with that 5 year warranty, we have to deal with the insurance company (New Leaf) and Bosch directly which, on my latest phone call the Bosch customer service representative hung up on me while I was expressing my frustration over their product's performance. A piece of advice for that peace of mind one might be looking for when buying a high end large Bosch appliance? Answer: avoid Bosch at all cost. Also, do not spend your money on that "no lemon" warranty with Percy's because it does turn sour when you need to get that protection they promise that your appliance will be working as good as the time of purchase. read more

I was directed by my contractor in a fire restoration to use Percy's that is who they use. 2 years and my ice maker will not work. Called under a year and they said no under warranty anymore (equipment sat in warehouse and then took contractor 8 months to set up ice maker) no one cared one year warranty despite the fact NEVER worked, just make a solid block of ice. Service people they referred me to wanted an astronomical amount to just come out and look at it. BEWARE they do not stand behind products or care they gave a non working product to a customer. We checked online, before going to the store, and the site said our freezer was in stock. It was not. We were brought to the outlet area and shown freezers much bigger than we specified, and not the same mfr. We were told, by the salesperson, that they did not have the item and that we would have to order it. He did not seem knowledgable about freezers. Since we were not in a hurry, we did order it and were told it would be in within 3 days and someone would call us. We were going to pick it up to save the cost of delivery. A week later we called to find out it was in. We arranged to pick it up. We arrived at the warehouse, and were quickly and politely helped. They were great. Only then did we realize that the freezer was not returnable; it was noted as a special order; odd, since it was supposedly in stock! I worked with Jeremy who understood what I needed for appliances and made suggestions for the highest quality items around my price range. When the exact model washer/dryer I wanted was unavailable and I went with the next model up he helped me find any discounts he could find for me. When my closing for my house was delayed multiple times the staff was more than accommodating in moving the date for me. The crew that delivered the appliances were generous, very careful not to damage anything entering the house. They set everything up and tested it and took all the trash. It didn't feel like they were in a massive rush working too hastily. My sister in law purchased a house recently as well and I had received a few deliveries from other appliance companies and one left all their trash and a leaky hose, and the other scratched up the side of their fridge going in and rushed out before I could see. I went shopping on tax free weekend for items for a new condo in Worcester I had bought and am fixing up. Good and bad here. Sorry to say the pricing for a TV or in general appliances were not too special. In that the website was "call for quote" I went in with an open mind. Washer Dryer got purchased elsewhere , better values daily at Sam's club for a larger variety of TV's. The good, I bought 2 queen sized memory foam mattresses and foundations for $299 each plus delivery. The salesperson was quick friendly and efficient. The delivery guys were also really great (that's a hard find, they are keepers). The delivery coordinator not so much. Learning curve for the business, its tax free weekend, engage everybody assuming its not "tire kicking" "just looking" weekend. The delivery guys left such a great impression that I would shop here again. read more

OK, Plumber called and admitted he forgot to turn on the water. Knowing this I was able to put a wrench on the valve handle and turn it so it opened. The dishwasher was now functional. What made this difficult was that the dishwasher gave no indication of why it refused to run. The guys with the range returned later in the day. They were able to back the truth into the driveway and install the range. Good. On the way out I walked out to were the stones had been knocked off the wall earlier. Together we were able to put them back in place. The two guys were certainly apoligetic for what happened so all is forgiven. read more
