In November my son and I went to Lowe's in Worcester and ordered a new stove and dishwasher. My son opened a Lowe's account that day. The stove was delivered on time and we were told the dishwasher would be delivered at a later date, dependent upon when a plumber would be able to install it. The plumber informed my son on the date of expected delivery that he would NOT be able to deliver and install it because another part was required due to the age of our home. Another time the plumber allegedly went to pick up the dishwasher and it could not be located. Every issue required a visit to the store because nothing could be corrected by phone. After several attempts for delivery were postponed by Lowe's and/or the plumber, the dishwasher was finally installed (but not before we threatened to cancel the sale.) My son was told we would be given a $200 credit due to the months long inconvenience. As of today (March 18, five months later) the $200 STILL was not credited. My son was told tonight because we had already paid a large amount (approximately $900) we would only be credited $47. That logic baffles me and anyone with any common sense. I just waited almost 45 minutes on hold to speak with Richmond, the manager who told my son there is no way he can give us back any more than $47. I asked for his manager's name and was told Bob. I ordered a refrigerator online to replace the "lemon" refrigerator that I had previously purchases using an electronic gift card. In less than 5 minutes I cancelled the order because I found a refrigerator that I wanted more and the gift card was not refunded immediately. I was told "it was the system to return an e-card by snail mail and that it would take 3-10 business days to issued the "hard gift card" which would then be snail mail to me taking up to 4-5 days. After speaking with a supervisor, Samira, it was reiterated that there wasn't anything they could do to get me an e-card sooner...it was the "Lowe's system" and there wasn't any over-riding the system. Frustrated...yes...amazed that the ability of a human being to over-ride the AI is frightening!!! read more

be very weary of ordering any of their products that are not in house. there warehouse deliveries are extremely unreliable. coordinating with your handyman for a simple job dependent on the materials being received within a few days of delivery date, it not optimistic.when ordering and being told delivery will be in 4 days, then on that day when you call to confirm what time product will be available for pick up, and being told the product will not actually arrive until another 4 days after said delivery date. Handyman was scheduled for 2 days after delivery date, so 2 days before Actual arrival. now the project will be delayed 2 1/2 weeks because of his availability, And he looses a days pay as project was expected to last most of the day.I will never Order from them again. if i cant pick up in store, then i will go elsewhere. customer service should be advised about there unrealistic delivery expectations and make adjustments for better customer service. read more

Careful at Lowe's! I know there are some good employees at Lincoln Street, however the Managers and Corporate suck, to be plan about it. If you return something make sure you fight for a refund or gift card! If they force a store credit on you, you must purchase something from the store, you can't purchase anything from the Lowe's Website! Never go here. I've never had a more terrible customer service experience in my life and regret not going to Home Depot. they delivered our washer and dryer and never set it up. We called them and they were supposed to have someone come out and set it up two days later. They never come. They told us they'd deliver the plug and hoses with the dryer and NEVER did. Finally get on with corporate to figure this out and get it set up. They send someone out on a SATURDAY STILL WITH NO HOSES OR PLUGS EVEN THOUGH THEY WOULDNT LET US LEAVE THE STORE WITH IT. Yea I went there for an Uber order. They didn't help me for pick up for about 15 min. Then when they did. They told me I needed an id to pick up the order so I had to go home across the street (not literally but it's close) to get my Id once I came back. The lady had to type in the order because it wasn't poppin up. She had to do it twice cuz she messed up (additional 2-3minutes) then she told me. You're not the order pick up courier. I said yes I am. She said no it's someone else. So I call Uber customer service to figure things out. (On speaker phone so they can hear). The representative for Uber stated that I am the order pick up. The Lowe's employee lady said nope. I can't give you the order or she'll get fired. An I told her the last person canceled so I can pick it up. She still wouldn't budge or truly help me out. We had ordered a fridge online and was waiting for it to be delivered. Originally the delay was due to the manufacture so no big deal. However, when they finally brought the fridge, the guy came in, did a few measurements, and then told me it wouldn't fit and left. Okay that was beyond frustrating but whatever. Second time around, we pull everything out of the kitchen...cabinets and all. Same thing. Guy comes, does measurement and said wont fit and leaves without even trying to bring the fridge inside. Okay, annoyed, but we will hire a carpenter to come in and make room. So I called the Lowes in Worcester, MA to work with them on delivering and time and everything. When I get through to the department the rudest and most unprofessional women answers the phone and is beyond useless. I give this cow my information and have to repeat it multiple times because apart from being rude she's unable to hear... To top it off I give her my information and what does she do? PUTS THE PHONE DOWN AND WALKS AWAY!! Didn't even bother to put me on actual hold. I could hear her music blaring in the background! I'm sorry but that was the lasts straw for me. I called corporate and had them cancel and refund my money. Went to Lowes Worcester to purchase a fridge, found one we liked the hubby checked the pricing inline and noticed it was $150 less at HD, informed the great salesperson and he confirmed it was apples to apples and they should be able to match pricing. Onto checkout where a CS Rep/Manager? says that they dont match others sales prices only if original price is less, i point out that is ridiculous and nowhere on ther price match guarantee does it say this. and that lowes and HD have this item on sale and that HD has a deeper discount, Manager arrives (if that's what he was) proceeds to spew the same nonsense finally i say cancel the sale. what was once an enjoyable experience shopping at Lowes has devolved as they choose to employ the clearly incompetent in leadership roles and dont have clear cut policies, too bad must be the reason they were dead yesterday and HD was slamming. sent this to there corporate office we will see if they reply read more

I purchased a hot water tank and clothes dryer from Lowes in October of 2021. I also contracted with Lowes Home Services (via My Project) to have both items installed. This was all done online. The delivery of both items was seamless, and the plumber hired by Lowes Home Services to install both did a good job. Unfortunately, the new dryer was defective, and could not be used (gas leak). I immediately bought a new dryer from Lowes, and eventually returned the defective dryer for a refund with no problems. However, I paid $375 for the installation of the defective dryer, and paid $425 to my plumber for installation of the replacement dryer. Before the installation of the replacement dryer, I made numerous phone calls to Lowes Customer Solutions over a two week period requesting either a refund of my initial installation fee, to install the replacement dryer for free, or reimburse me the cost of installing the replacement dryer. Three weeks after the installation of the defective dryer, I was told both dryer installations were on me. My takeaway from this experience - never use Lowes Homes Services or "My Project" for any installation - they do not stand by their work. Once I had a problem, I was quickly told by Lowes Customer Solutions that they are a separate entity subcontracted by Lowes to hire contractors and manage projects, even though all of the paperwork and contracts were on Lowes' letterhead. This business model was clearly designed to insulate corporate Lowes from installation problems. However, from this former customer's perspective, Lowes is Lowes. Bottom line: Lowes should not have made me pay for the cost of installing a defective dryer that was bought at, and installed by, Lowes! read more

Worst customer service. Female blond "manager" is pathetic. We went to Lowes (Worcester MA), waited in line at Customer Service (which I use that term VERY loosely), got up to the counter, advised that we wanted to rent a truck, they asked what we were purchasing, and we replied "sheetrock". The man waiting on us obtained the keys and paperwork, we asked "when does the clock start" as we needed to get the sheet rock and the store was busy (another issue - absolutely no cashiers manning the cash registers - ONLY registers opened were self-service) and we didn't want to rent a truck by the hour and waste 1/2 hour. The man waiting on us asked another woman (who was helping another customer) and she stated to go get what we were purchasing and they would hold the truck. We immediately went to pick up the sheet rock and a door. Maybe 10 minutes later we were standing in the self-service checkout (as no registers were available) when my husband when to get in line for Customer Service. He came back and said not to check out yet "just in case". As we were waiting in a line of maybe 8 people waiting for Customer Service we overheard a man at the counter asking about renting the truck (they only had 1 truck available) - he was being waited on by a blond female employee. She stated he needed to get his insurance card. I immediately went around the line and went up and asked, "Is he renting the truck? Because we were here 10 minutes ago and they are hold the truck for us." The blond female stated, "We don't reserve trucks". I explained and pointed out the two people who said they would hold it - to which BOTH told the blond female that they had told us that. At this point the other man looking for the truck is back inside and he is not happy because he had been told the same thing by someone else who was at the desk when he initially entered. I asked the blond female how this was going to be handled and she LAUGHED IN MY FACE and stated that they don't hold trucks (even after the two other employees admitted they told us that). I immediately asked for a manager and she responded, "I am the manager". I told her it was disgusting that anyone, let alone the manager, would laugh in a customer's face. After this experience - if I have absolutely any other option, I will NEVER shop in LOWES again. . . period. End of story. If a manager can laugh in your face and not be fired than that's it. It's really sad that the man and woman ACTUALLY WORKING the registers were much more concerned about customer service than this "manager". I'm a director in health care and we hold our co-workers to a much higher standard - let alone a manager. Who does this manager think she is to laugh in a customer's face. I did call the corporate office and speak with a nice woman who took my concerns down, stated they would be send to the store manager (if that is the person I'm complaining about - I'm not exactly sure what that will do) and that someone may or may not have someone get back in touch with me. I asked her to put in my complaint that, "If no one can bother to get back in touch with me than I will make sure everyone knows that Lowes doesn't care at all about customer service recovery and that it would be the executive's decision." read more

I like going to lowes as I have their credit card and have purchased things from trees and paint to a snowblower and grill. I went in to look at carpet. Took 15 minutes of waiting before someone came over. The associate was very rude, short, and argumentative. Finally got our carpet quote together and found we were being charged for installation and furniture moving, which we were originally told would be free. Tried talking to an associate online who told me I had to call the installation company. Called them and they said I had to call the store. Called them and it rang and rang and no one picked up. I paid for landscaping supplies to be delivered to me a week before Labor day, they confirmed the delivery date and time and never showed up, three days later, I placed a call to race my order and finally got hold of a manager who promised a delivery a week later which was unacceptable. They had to escalate and got me a new delivery date within 4 days. The delivery finally came in and was only half of the supplies I ordered! While waiting for my delivery I called and place the first complaint call and the second one that was escalated to the district manager. Nobody called me back at all. This company does not care about customer service and their communication skills are the worst in the industry. Now I have to go chase the rest of my order. This is unacceptable by any standards. So. We've renovated an entire house over the past year. This Lowe's has been nothing but short of greatness. They have everything, it's affordable, people here are nice. HOWEVER: we also order online and do in-store pickups. So sometimes we go there to pick up the order, push the button at the pickup counter and WAIT FOR SO LONG!! This rating is for the staff that work at Lowes in Worcester, MA. The Lowes company need improvement when it comes to how they want managers to handle their third party deliveries. That said, the staff that works at the Worcester store are terrific. After we had been bumped from the appointed delivery day, Jeremiah not only came through with a solid delivery time (that required talking directly to the person making the delivery) but also substituted a better quality product for us when he noticed that one item was no longer in stock. Jeremiah also called me three hours after the delivery was supposed to be made just to make sure the job was completed and done well. Bravo, Jeremiah. Berenice, a clerk at the Pro Shop entrance, was extremely helpful directing me to were to go and who to speak with. She also noticed I was quite stressed, turned to me and asked, "Do you need a hug?" However, when I went to arrange installation for the dishwasher we just purchased, I was told the installation was going to be $799!! This is more than the price of the dishwasher and is absolutely ridiculous. When I had contacted the installation department through the link on their website, I received the following response: "Thank you for contacting Lowe's regarding your dishwasher installation. After reviewing your request, it appears basic installation labor cost would be $239.00 (before tax) plus an additional $30.00 each to haul away and dispose of current unit(s) if necessary. Keep in mind the price could vary depending on should small modifications need to be done to accommodate your install." "Small modifications" should not be a difference of more than $500. Bought a stove in store (Worcester, MA) Friday. Was being delivered Saturday, got a call in the am that the delivery men broke the unit and I had to call Lowes to get another one. Called Lowes who stated they would get a new unit and deliver it that same day, and they were going to call me with a new ETA. No one ever called me to verify this would be happening and no one gave me an estimated time of delivery. Wasted a whole day on a oven that never showed. Next, spoke with manager of appliances at Worcester, MA (female can't recall her name) who gave no help and refused to expedite a new unit out to me. No one from Lowes or the delivery service (XPO Logistics) ever called me to re-schedule a new day and time of delivery. I attempted to call Worcester Lowes multiple times with no answer. I called XPO logistics who had scheduled a new day and time without my knowledge or approval. Of course they picked a day I was working so I had to reschedule AGAIN. Come to the new delivery day, never got a courtesy call they were en-route to deliver the unit. Called Worcester Lowes, someone actually answered and was unable to find my order in their system. Called XPO logistics where they stated the drivers were running late. The delivery men never gave me a courtesy call prior to delivery, and they attempted to conceal and deliver yet another damaged unit!!!!!! I refused the unit and sent it back. I attempted to call Worcester Lowes to speak with a manager/supervisor about the poor service I had been receiving. A girl by the name of Sylvia gave me her name and told me if I got hung up on, to call back and ask for her. Of course I got hung up on so I called back and asked for Sylvia, Sylvia replied "I'm just going to mind my own fucking business" and hung up on me. I immediately drove to the Worcester, MA location. When I walked up to the customer service counter, there was Sylvia talking loud and proud about "cussing out" a customer and hanging up on "the bitch." Sylvia was telling her story to her co-workers in front of multiple customers waiting to be helped. Sylvia had no idea "the bitch" was standing right in front of her hearing every word she was saying. I waited around and spoke with the supervisor on shift and had to actually make a statement. Sylvia I'm pretty sure you've been fired, hope you've learned your loud obnoxious mouth gets you no where. I hope Lowes prioritizes their reputation and quality customer service over sustaining incompentant employees during this pandemic. I am so disappointed. I purchased 2 appliances for my new home, and was told at time of purchase that it would be delivered today. I took the day off from work, waited until the end of the 4-hour delivery window, and the machines had not arrived. I then spent close to 2 hours being hung up on, transferred to a line that no one answered, then when I finally connected with a person, being bounced back and forth between customer service and delivery service, with each group pointing fingers at the other and telling me to call the other group. I finally got connected with a helpful individual, but the best they could tell me is that the machines never arrived, and so couldn't be delivered. Again, this is after I received a call last night telling me that everything was all set for today, and after I took off a day of work to be home for the delivery. I think that the people I talked to were trying in their own way to be helpful, but the policies and procedures they are required to use are deliberately confusing, obfuscating, and full of "not our fault", rather than designed to be helpful. At the end of the day, I *might* get my machines next week, but then again, maybe not, I couldn't get anyone to actually commit to anything. I am so disappointed. Lowes Worcester - Buyer Beware! First I tried purchasing appliances online with the delivery option. The transaction would not go through. I called the Worcester location and conducted the transaction. They tried charging me more than the online price. I refused to pay more. They honored the online price and the purchase went ahead. After purchasing a dishwasher, gas stove and refrigerator at Lowes, including old appliance take away. They never called me to let me know my appliances were in. I had to call to get a delivery date with a window of 8am to 8pm. I scheduled my contractor and plumber to come the day after delivery to complete the setup. I took the day off work. They confirmed the delivery the night before shortening the window from 9am to 1pm. I then confirmed with my contractor and plumber. No truck showed up on delivery day, so, I finally called at 1:20 pm to ask about my delivery. That is when I was informed that it would not be delivered. No one bothered to contact me. I was completely floored. If someone had bothered to let me know I could have gone to work and changed my day off. I will also need to reschedule with the contractor and plumber. I have no appliances working because they have been uninstalled for removal. The person on the phone said they would see what could be done to fix the situation and call me back. I am still waiting. I guess I am expected to take another day off. I have no idea when I can get the contractor and plumber back to my house for install. This is incredibly frustrating and very poor practice. I will not be purchasing anything, ever again from Lowes. read more

Bought a snowblower winter of 2016 Husqvarna 27" . We had a good winter not much snow. The first and only time i used it the chute cable was not properly installed and the carb was on wrong. The unit was nothing but trouble. I reached out to lowes management they agreed to fix it for a fee. The problem i had was the unit was brand new. Stand by your product guys. Any way it came back new cable dame carb problem, so i took it apart and realized the breather was on wrong. Fixed it and ran like new... I mean like its supposed too. So fast forward to this year 4 snow storms later. The auger drive just crapped out.... ugh!!! Are you kidding me?? Im so disappointed i spent $1200 at lowes. I've never had a bad experience here at Lowe's. I like the layout of their store, the variety of goods and the people are good. Like all home improvement centers, you have to look for someone to help you. Once in a great while you get a person who smiles and asks if they can help you. Yes, I almost dropped but I kept my composure and took up the offer just because it was offered and not because I needed help. I go between Lowe's and Home Depot. If Lowe's doesn't have it then Home Depot does. Just don't do what I did. I'm not usually one to post on here had a after a customer service experience yesterday that left me feeling very uneasy. I had ordered a online order and went to the pick up area to get my order. My boyfriend and I had come in to no one behind the counter, which was fine- we waited. The pick up area is also next to the returns counter where there was an employee helping another customer check out then another one was just standing there not doing anything. So I just turn my head to see if she might notice us standing there, she yells at me YA WHAT DO YOU WANT- as I'm clearly standing at the pick up stand. "Ok fine I can help you", she says. But instead of just walking another couple extra steps to the pickup, she chooses to help meat the returns counter. There was also about 5 yards of lumber blocking the counter, so she just watched me struggle to get to the counter and yelling at me again and rushing me to pull up my order. I finally got the items ordered online but left with the very sour taste in my mouth and don't understand how someone could just be so rude when I literally did nothing. I have done business with Lowes in Worcester for some time now. Most of the time my interactions with the staff there is not great but not terrible. I ordered some products through the store almost a month ago and elected to have them shipped to my business address. Only a partial order had arrived. I called Lowes several times only to be put on hold an average of 20 minutes each time. When I did get an opportunity to speak with customer service, they told me that it was shipped, or I took them already, or that they just plain do not know where the rest of my order is. When I asked to speak with the store manager i got only a department manager who told me im not getting anything until he views the security cameras?! Why? Opened a case and was told that a manager would reach out to me within 24 hours! Nope! Talked to department manager again and he was even more rude this time to the point where I needed to end the conversation. I never received any apology or explanation as to why I was treated so poorly. This store has really fallen apart. Customer service department is deplorable. This store needs some serious retraining. I haven't brought my dd214 to the lowes in my area to enter my discharge date whom I must say have NEVER given me a hard time to receive the military discount. Well this lowes has a problem with it and would not give me the discount because I wasn't in the system. Even the cashier claims to have served in the military, I told her that I see what they think of their military veterans. I would not recommend anyone who has served in the military to shop at this lowes. read more
