I have eaten at this restaurant several times Everything that I've tried has been very good I would recommend the seared tuna salad. Prices seem very reasonable for an upscale Mexican restaurant in Wash Park Service is good especially during Covid, when staffing is a problem. It's one of my favorite bars ( shape and design ) in Wash Park. it's a big open on the inside and there is a patio. Finally made it to Perdida and I have to say I was impressed. The ambiance was lovely; the nailed the whole coastal Mexican restaurant vibe but definitely made it more upscale. Music was a great volume and definitely set the mood for a hip, fun atmosphere. The cocktails perte definitely the highlight for me; which please don't take as the food wasn't up to par! I was just blown away by the flavors ans creativity! The Mezcal Sunrise but, in my opinion, a perfect Mezcal cocktail. Perfect balance of smokey, citrus, and a touch of salt from the worm salt rim. And I have to say I was curious about the Old Aztec as it had both Rye and Mezcal and it was frankly; amazing. Boozy but not overpowering. I would order both of these over and over again with no regrets. Oh and we also tried the SHOTOPUS which is a super cute presentation and a very beautiful and palatable shot to take for the table! It was vibrant and floral and quite honestly, as shots go, a pleasure to take! Brilliant idea for sure. Onto the food. So Yucca Fries are probably never something I would gravitate towards as that's just not my style; I can't begin to tell you have happy I am the table decided to order them. AHHHHMAZING! Order these; don't even think about it, just do it! I can tell you I will order these every time I come here I don't even care. They were so freaking good! I have to throw out there the queso, to me, was meh. But let me mention I am not a queso person unless it's a Queso Fundido. So take that with a grain of salt. If you like a queso that is more of a dip; you could have a completely different take on this. For my entree I went in a completely different direction than I normally would have and got the mixed fajitas! Damn these were good. The meats consisted of chicken, shrimp, and short rib; and it was all so good. I would say that I would probably only do short rib and chicken or maybe even short rib only if I went this route again because that meat was amazing! If you're looking for the same food quality that you can get at your local basic Mexican restaurant but with upscale vibes then this is the place for you. The food is exactly good- not great, not amazing. Just good. The service was hit and miss, food came out quickly but suspiciously so. Did you microwave my queso? I like the idea of many people attending to you, making sure you're fine and whatnot but our assigned server really seemed to be somewhere else mentally. Or perhaps he was annoyed that we were walk-ins not ordering multiple drinks. Either way it was palpable. I had heard great things about Perdida and on the spur of the moment decided to meet friends there to take advantage of the Happy Hour. When we entered the restaurant at 4:45 and checked in with the "greeter" telling him that we were there for HH, he promptly said that we only had 5 minutes. When I replied that we had 15, he said that they only took HH orders for 5 more minutes. I found that a bit rude but we indicated that we would like to be seated anyway. At this point he asked if the lounge was OK and we said yes. The covered lounge area had many tables unoccupied yet he seated us next to the alley under an umbrella with full sun in 95 degree heat. I could accept that if the rest of the lounge was occupied but only 2 tables out of 9(?) were occupied. We were uncomfortable at our designated table so we asked the waiter if we could move to a free table in the covered patio area. We moved and the "greeter" promptly arrived reminding me rudely that all tables were reserved and stated that he could once again seat us at a table in the area next to the alley. The restaurant at 5:00 pm was largely empty, inside and outside. I asked to remain at the table on the patio at which point I was told that our table was reserved at 5:45 and at that time we would have to move. I agreed that we would move at that time. He then grumbled, made an ugly face and walked away. Our waiter was wonderful, attentive and gracious. We stayed until 6:30 and there were still 3 empty tables on the patio. I don't usually leave reviews because I find that most restaurants go the extra mile to please any customer but this experience was so unbelievable in terms of rude behavior from an employee from the moment we walked in that I felt compelled to leave a review. read more

We came and ordered food but I noticed the customers near us who ordered later than we did received their food and were done eating and we still had not received ours!
