The splash bar was nice,however the waiter by the name of Greg was rude. The person before me(African American) was before me waiting to be served. He had never served her so the other waiter John did. When I was next to be served two ladies(white) came after me he went straight to them and didn't even acknowledge me! They make you pay to sit in the chairs along the beach...and you are trapped in a hellish southern tourist town with nothing fun for miles....so you kind of NEED to go to the beach....this is what we call "a racket" A separate company owns their beach, so when they say "our beach" that is a lie. First and foremost, our view was amazing! The price was right -- but I guess you get what you pay for. - The decor was outdated - The bed was super lumpy - Pillows needed replacing - The hvac system was an old and loud single stage system - you can't set it at a certain temperature and it doesn't shut off when it reaches desired temperature. Not very efficient. That's for sure. - The walls were super thin (you can hear your next door neighbor breathe) - No exhaust fan in the bathroom. Since we were there during their 'off season', they only had one restaurant opened, Latitude, and I was told by a front desk agent that it was located on the beach level. I went down there, walked around, and nope, it was actually on the same level as the front desk. How do they not know that? Anyway, the food was only ok -there wasn't much variety to choose from. But the service was really good. Our waitress was very attentive. The reason I have to give 2 stars is because there was a GIGANTIC cockroach in our room. it was huge and crawling around the room. I called the operator and they sent a nice gentleman from engineering to spray it and send it on its way back to the beach. I can understand that those roaches are cold and seeking warmer shelter, but what a big turn off. Bugs just give me the heebee jeebees, especially big, giant ones. Do I really want to be sleeping with one eye opened hoping one doesn't crawl all over my face? Anyway, Hotels.com gave this place the highest rating among its competitors. Beautiful views and clean white beaches. Front desk friendly but valet is slower than most. Rooms are average but clean. There's 4 restaurants on the property, all are good, including snack bar which offers health options. Food at Voyogers is terrific but pricy. I wiukd rank food 5 star. Piano bar in lobby at night that's fun. Good batenters throughout the resort. Maid service is extremely loud in the morning pushing carts around outside and not friendly. We said good morning to a group coming to work on our walk and not a single one said anything. Wow! My rating is based on age of property and maid service. read more

For the price you pay to be close to the damn Gulf of Mexico, it's a good price but maybe because we went off season. I have to say that although it's not fancy, it was extremely clean. Boasts an indoor pool that connects with the outdoor pool, 2 indoor jacuzzis, one for adults and the other unspecified, a gym complete with weights, it's a good size gym and not a small room size one either. Also, the main reason we booked---it's on the damn beach. The place has 2 restaurants 1 for fine dining, the other is breakfast buffet and serves dinner, room service, provided, a pizza and ice cream place, an arcade for the rugrats. This place looks like a great place to house a small conference since it has ballrooms available. What more can you ask for? If you are looking for a place to stay and enjoy the beach, this is a good place. It might not have the artsy deco and contemporary art, but it's clean and meets all my needs. Our room had 2 queen size beds, tv, desk, mini fridge and it was a fairly big room, bigger than the biloxi casino rooms if you want to have something to compare to. All for $99. I booked through Orbitz, but the prices vary so make sure you check. Oh the most important part---free wireless internet. YAY! Cash and credit are accepted. This is a family friendly joint, during the summer Im sure the place is jumping so book early. read more

Stayed here with my boyfriend for a relaxing trip after finals had ended. Had such a relaxing stay. Impressed with amenities, room service was pretty good! Quick courteous polite. Private beach! The five star rating however is for after I had checked out. 2 incidents 1. After checking out and walking on the beach one last time,I realized I had left my seashell collection in my room. I was THAT girl. The one who leaves everything. They didn't question me. They got some information and I went happily on my way seashells in hand. 2. That night I get home, and while getting into bed realize something is different. MY TEMPURPEDIC PILLOW. I left it all the way in Alabama. two states over. I called the day after checking out and was directed to house keeping. Shoutout to housekeeping for being prompt and returning my beloved tempurpedic pillow. Yall rock!!! We stayed here last week. I'm going to break down the different aspects of the trip. 5 stars for location. It's perfectly arranged at the inlet to the bay so you can see all the boats go by while walking on the beach. Amazing. 3 stars for amenities. Latitude 30 was not good but the pizza and ice cream shop was amazing. Rooms were dated. Popcorn ceilings and hvac from the 70's. Found hair on the sheets. Yuck. Pool was nice and beach access was superb. 1 star for guest experience. Nobody helps you or tells you anything. They act like you've been there a million times. One time there were three employees standing by concierge but no one at front desk with two people waiting. Then a manager walked in from the back, saw us and walked back out...lol. the worst are the stupid policies that do NOTHING to improve or enhance the guest experience. Here's two of them. Towels need to be checked out from the beach rental shop downstairs. And you must return them there so they can check you off the list. Oh, unless they're closed. Then they leave a stack by the hot tub to just grab... The second stupid policy is the luggage cart policy. You MUST go to the vaket to get a luggage cart and the valet MUST stay with the cart at all times. So if you decided you wanted to collect your own things to take downstairs, you're out of luck. I asked the valet about the policy. He said he was just trying to keep his job... Perdido BR. I know you think you're high end, but your focus is on the wrong things. Instead of forcing ridiculous policies on employees, thereby forcing them on guests, focus on the guest experience. Empower employees to make that experience perfect. You'll earn 5 stars. read more

We booked this after all the other ones were apparently sold out for a last minute trip to stay one night on Friday, May 1st. Rooms were really nice, bathroom area had two separate sink areas to get ready in, one in the bathroom and one outside the bathroom which is nice. Decent space for a room, fridge and cute balcony to seat two and small table. We had partial gulf view and it was nice overlooking inlet of water and the gulf (not full facing). We had our 7 and 9 year old boys so we only dined in the pizza and ice cream cafe. Pizza was doughy so don't order thick crust. Gross. Try thin crust if you must. Ice cream good and they had pitchers of beer or cups for sale in the pizza cafe. It was foamy and the semi skilled employee had trouble pouring a pitcher with all the foam. It was only Bud Light, so nothing fancy. It was nice that they had towels at the pool area (indoor pool has towels) and a separate grown ups only hot tub from another hot tub for 12 and over. The indoor pool is tiny and you can swim through to the outdoor pool which is really big and lovely. During the day, you can get a towel (one per person) from the attendant outside and write down your room number and then return it or a fee. It's right on the beach and you cannot beat that. Just walk out to the water. The louge chairs that you can sit on to face the water that have shade canopy option are a fee based service. So, you can pay the attendant on the beach for use of the lounge chairs on the beach or just use your towel from the hotel pool area for free. Or BYO chairs or blanket. It's a decent walk out on a HUGE sandy beach with soft sand, so you won't want to lug a ton of stuff to use on the beach. It's really beautiful at that part of the beach. We had two stingrays swim right by us and it was creepy! Parking lot is close to the front but easier to do valet if you wish. We did not try the more upscale restaurant off of the lobby or the bar since we had our children with us. I wish it included a free breakfast, but nope. We knew that ahead of time though and planned accordingly. They have breakfast at the restaurant there, but we had kid snacks with us for breakfast and just went straight out to the beach at 8 am to get beach time in before we had to get back to the room and check out. Check out is NOON which we loved! That extra hour is important! I did appreciate the coffee maker in the room, that was nice. read more

We enjoyed our stay in their very clean resort RIGHT on the beach so much that we cancelled our trip to Biloxi and added two days to our stay here. The gulf view room was a king room and had plenty of space for us to spread out. Loved being able to open the balcony door and sleep to the sound of the gulf. The only down side to that was a bouy/beacon at the point that "alarmed" with a fog horn regularly...enough to be a little annoying. read more

The food at Voyagers was good and the beds were comfy. That's all I can say for the good. This place is crap. The rooms smell horrible, bugs easily enter through the ventilation system, it's outdated by centuries and our room looked like it wasn't cleaned. We also couldn't sleep due to the wind blowing through our unsealed patio door. My very pregnant wife and enjoyed the bed then packed up 4 nights early to stay somewhere else. The hotel was less then accommodating, not taking any of our concerns serious, and didn't refund us for ANY portion of our stay. I wasn't asking for money back on the night we stayed but only on the additional 4 we weren't staying due to conditions. I would highly recommend just renting a beach house further down the coast if you can swing it. This hotel should just be demolished. read more

Stayed here 3 nights during the Memorial Day weekend. Nice facility, young families will enjoy the amenities. Rooms have frig but no microwave nor do they have coffee makers. AC worked well. Bed pretty comfy. All staff very helpful. As for available food, theres a pizza shop, a grill, and their featured restaurant called Latitude 30. Pizza just OK, somewhat greasy. The grill, called Splash Bar and Grill, was a disappointment both in food quality and wait time. Every time we tried to enter Latitude 30 during the day, it was closed. This is a resort location, families eat at various weird times when on vacation. Latitude should be open to serve guests all day long and into the evening. Bar drinks were of regular quality and price for a resort. Beer prices started at $4.50. Stop and buy your drinks and drink fixings prior to arriving. Its a very LONG walk in very loose sand to the beach umbrellas which rent for $35 per day including two loungers. You can bring up to a 10x10 awning or your own umbrellas and chairs and save a bundle. Canned beverages and coolers are allowed on the beach. The long walk in shifty sand will be difficult for anyone with balance , foot, knee, or hip problems. The resort should provide a sound walkway of some description to aid handicapped and walking-challenged individuals. Currently there is no accommodations for the handicapped to get to the ocean water, much less enjoy the beach area. For these and other reasons, all I can fairly give this resort is 3 stars. read more

The view is immaculate - if you are able to have a poolside/beach front view - AMAZING! Winter sunrises and sunsets over the beach are life. The best part, too, is Brooke who was working the outside bar. She is the best!!!!! We had a good time getting tipsy with her and she keeps it real!! Nice to meet cool people all over the world! My wife and I were at this resort for the second time this past weekend (4/23-24) and I think we will continue coming here. As mentioned in my first review, if you get there before your room is ready then no sweat...just hang out at the pool or beach for a few hours. Drink a few beers...then check in after they text you that your room is ready. Once we were notified, I went back to the guest service counter to get our room keys and they informed me that they upgraded out room to a suite...score. Don't know why, didn't ask...don't care! Huge room and bathroom facilities. Courtyard view (pool/beach) was cool too. We will defiantly be back and would certainly recommend this resort. Love the access to the beach also. read more

My wife and I just returned from a four-day stay at the Perdido Beach Resort. The hotel was beautiful, the staff were all very friendly and our room, overlooking the sea, was terrific. The hotel was very clean, our room was very clean also. Lots of high quality, fluffy towels, nice flat screen TV in the room, as well as a mini-fridge, an in-room coffee maker, iron, ironing board, hairdryer and a super comfy mattress with loads of nice pillows. We also had a large balcony with two nice chairs and a small table. The hotel features two nice restaurants and a lobby bar. The pool bars were not open since we stayed there in February. Their pool looked very inviting, despite the 55-degree temps. All things considered, we really enjoyed our stay there and we will stay there again the next time we visit Orange Beach. A side note: We had never been to the Alabama Coast before and it was simply beautiful. We liked it much better than Florida. We also took advantage of all the wonderful oyster bars in Orange Beach. Fresh, delicious seafood was the main reason we went and we were not disappointed. Great people, great hotel and worth an 8-hour drive just for the oysters. read more

The resort was nice and the rooms were clean. The only real negative is that the bathrooms are a bit small, making it hard to easily bathe kiddos. The partial ocean view was great! While you couldn't easily see the ocean from inside the room, you had a great view from the balcony. Unfortunately, it rained the majority of our short stay, so we can't comment on the beach or outdoor swimming areas, but they both looked nice and the beach access was right at on the resort's property. We did use the indoor pool, which is a bit small, but opens up directly to the outdoor pool (they're connected). The resort put on a nice Easter egg hunt for the kids on Easter morning. The staff was great and the kids enjoyed themselves. read more

My wife and I have stayed at various Gulf resorts. Perdido Beach Resort is among the best. 95/100 and 5 stars. The Good: Location is superb and the beach is perfect. All rooms face the ocean. Beautiful property inside, definitely 5 star. Good room, high quality. Blonde female bartender was awesome. Valet parking was excellent The steak at Voyager was delicious The Bad: Workout room is dated with multiple broken machines, rusty machines. The "adults only" hot tub typically had kids in it all the time and wasn't enforced. Anecdotally 75% of the employees were friendly. Very tiny toilet and bathroom. My wife is tiny and I'm average/slim. Anyone that is taller than average or overweight beware! Breakfast buffet was mediocre both in selection and service. Overall recommended! read more

Just returned from a three night stay in Orange Beach. We traveled to this area for the Interstate Mullet Toss at the Flora-Bama. After reviewing online reviews, we selected Perdido Beach Resort and booked a Club Level room. What a treat! Everyone we encountered was super friendly - the valets, front desk staff, bartenders, housekeepers, EVERYONE! A special shout out to Brittany who took good care of us every evening in the Club Lounge during happy hour. She made us feel like we were in our favorite local bar. Can't wait to return! read more

Not impressed with the cleanliness and grounds maintenance of this "resort." Grounds unswept, windows not clean. Room hallways un vacuumed. Did not feel clean while we stayed here. The photos clearly make this place look much newer and upscale than it is. Rooms need updating, HVAC system is old and loud - unable to set a temperature. Pillows need updating. Lovely lobby area and polite hotel staff. With all of the options in this town we would stay at a condo or rent a home next time. read more

My wife stayed here just for a night, although they have gained a future customer. The staff has been extremely friendly and accommodating. They have everything you need right in the property including some great food. The pool deck is very nice and spacious. Their beach is at the end before a canal so no neighbors on one side. PBR has great beach chairs and umbrellas. It's honestly a great locale. They have done a new club level in the east wing. And this rooms are pristine. The only knock on the whole place is the regular rooms are a bit outdated, but they are still very clean and well kept. read more

Our second stay here was during the Hurricane Irma evacuation of 2017. Just as amazing as it was in 2016. The rooms were immaculate and the staff very friendly and helpful. Voyagers has a great breakfast buffet with an omelette station. Plenty of fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, grits, sausage, waffles, pancakes, you get the picture. The East tower has the best views, look to your left and see the river inlet, to the right the Gulf of Mexico, stunning! read more

We stayed in a full view gulf room and the view was spectacular!!!! It was a quick walk over a boardwalk to the beach but I sat on the balcony a lot because it was the cooler part of the year and the beach was chilly. The balcony felt great with the sunshine. There weren't chairs for rental this time of year but we had brought our on but again I stayed on the balcony unless walking on the beach. The room was like a hotel room and had a refrigerator. There was a microwave near the ice machine which we used for popcorn that we had brought. The room was clean which to me is THE most important. The bed was soft, which I prefer but my husband prefers a more firm bed. Like someone said they do play music in the lobby at night and around the pool during the day but it did not affect my stay. I still found it to be peaceful as I stayed on the balcony or beach. I loved it and would not hesitate to stay again- especially with that full ocean view. read more

My bride and I chose this resort for our wedding in October and that was our first mistake. We reserved, and paid for, "Club Level" rooms but the front desk refused to give them to us. I had the reservation in hand - they just didn't care. The rooms are VERY dated and the front desk is not accommodating in the least. After our less-than-stellar stay, I found that the resort charged us over $600 in cancellation fees. Did I mention that we actually stayed there? Who charges cancellation fees for rooms you actually inhabit? This place lacks any customer service or ethics in their business policies and I recommend finding ANYWHERE else to stay as I'm still fighting with them 2 months after our dates with them. read more

Our family of 3 stayed there last week and we loved the place. The housekeepers were amazing, our room was clean and we loved the beach. It is a bummer to pay $25 per day for 2 beach chairs and an umbrella but many brought their own so for them it was a savings vs adding it to the room cost and making everyone pay for them. If any improvements are to be made it would be service in the food areas. Breakfast was a buffet and one morning took 20 minutes to be seated with nearly all tables empty. read more

I tried to order ANY food item at 10:55 pm and the ENTIRE resort was shut down. No food once so ever could be delivered to our room - I believe they have 4 restaurants and snacks in the lobby?). We spent $20,000 as a group to stay here for 3 days and no one knew who we were or accommodated to our needs. I went two days without room service. This resort hotel is definitely the GEM of Orange Beach, Alabama. The downside they are usually booked well in advance so you have to book well in advance if you want to stay. Great location on the key with really good pool and beach access. The beach is amazing right behind the resort. The pools are very nice and have plenty of seating. Food is so so but they do have nice assortment of dining. We really wish they had more entertainment after dinner. The outside bar by the pools close at 5:30, then your only option is Latitude 30 restaurant and piano bar inside. Those are both very average and not very energetic. We wanted to watch a couple games both nights and have cocktail, we ended up in our room watching the games. Also wish they had more for teenagers to do there. For the money though it wasn't a bad experience. read more
