    Potato puffs

Potato puffs are better than Gregoire's. Super crispy and lightly salted exterior with seasoned and airy interior. Pairs well with the green sauce (refreshing) or chipotle ketchup (smoky). Got a sample of the beignet which was also delicious with the strawberry sauce (not too sweet).

I'd been eagerly awaiting the opening of this place. I tried their beignets on a pre-opening weekend and knew they were delicious. The strawberry sauce is a great addition, and they have just the right amount of powdered sugar. They are small and delicious. Great taste and texture. Today I alsogot poutine. It was delicious and one of the better ones I've had in the US. Cheese curds could be a tuny bit meltier, but the overall experience was excellent. The person who runs the place is friendly and helpful, and he prepares orders quickly. There's a table to sit at, and he'll bring your order to you if you're eating there. Great food and great service; I highly recommend this place!

Amazing and delicious! I wish I could recreate the strawberry sauce, it's fabulous! Not crazy expensive and quick.

Fresh beignets, yummy breakfast sandwich, hot coffee, and fairly quick service too. The owner is really nice. If you're looking for a tasty brunch that won't break the bank (plenty of $5 items) check this place out. Ambiance - there is a tent so it's covered from the sun and you have the fresh air and blue skies so what's not to like?

    Breakfast sandwich

Found this little food truck on Google maps. Decided to check them out for a breakfast sandwich. Service was quick, obviously made on the spot. And service was also incredibly friendly. My breakfast sandwich was above and beyond what I expected and the spicy ketchup and some kind of mayo were an added bonus making it extra flavorful.

I had been looking for this truck for years and somehow it kept evading me. Today on my bike ride…read morehome it appeared out of nowhere like an oasis in the desert. I was immediately greeted by chef Elmy and his staff. I ordered a gyro to go as I knew my wife would want to try as well. I was expecting a gyro neatly wrapped like a burrito in foil that I could place in my bag. Instead I was presented with two heaping plates of food covered in foil. Luckily the bike I was riding had a basket. Chef Elmy told me which plate to keep on top and instructed me to be careful with the food on my ride home. "Yes sir". I got home and present the plates to my wife. She removed the foil unveiling two colorful delicious looking plates of food. We were both glowing. One was the gyro I had ordered and the other was a mix of some of the most delicious beans I have ever had along with a salad, a roasted pepper and pickled vegetables. The portions were huge, but more importantly delicious. Food like this could only be made by someone who loves feeding people which I believe Chef Elmy does. I cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu.

From the very beginning, we were welcomed with bowls of soup as soon as we approached the truck. We were asked if we had any restrictions or preferences, and Chef Elmy cooked us a personalized meal. Note that everything is made-to-order so be prepared to wait a little - but for his cooking, anything is worth it. We were handed two gorgeous generously filled plates that could feed a family of 6! He also gave us bottles of water to keep us hydrated. The plate consisted of two wraps, chicken and kofta, with a couple of sides. We were not sure what the sides were (besides the delicious corn that was crusted and seasoned beautifully) but everything had us smacking our lips, especially the fried one. The food was intentional and made with so much love and care, something that is so rare to find nowadays. A real hidden gem and they deserve all the support! We cannot wait to return to try all the other food and specials Chef Elmy has to offer. Thank you for an outstanding and delicious lunch (and dinner)!

Rebecca was running the truck with her husband, and they were warm, friendly, and hard-working. That same care reflected in the food. Comforting flavors, big portions, and just what we needed. ---- Food ---- The hot dogs here are big, delicious, and fantastic value for the price. Wushu Dog: Loved this one. Inventive and delicious. Great texture, topped with pork sung and crispy cabbage, plus katsu sauce and Japanese mayo. Savory, crunchy, and satisfying. Sumo Dog: Japanese curry beef chili with cheese and fresh scallions. Hearty, comforting, and perfect for that chilly evening. Fried Foods: We didn't try, any but they serve fries and potstickers too. The fries seemed to be a crowd favorite at Great Notion Brewery next door (which is partnered with Dojo Dog). Definitely getting them next time. Rebecca told me she enjoys experimenting with new dishes, and the creativity shows. Looking forward to trying more! ---- Drinks ---- We didn't but drinks as we were enjoying beer at Great Notion, but Dojo Dog also offer drinks like milk tea. ---- Bonus ---- As I mentioned, they partner with Great Notion, one of our FAVORITE bars in the Bay with the best smoothie beers and stouts. You can bring your Dojo Dog inside and pair it with their awesome beers. Inventive hot dogs + beer = awesome evening ---- Vibe ---- Cute little food truck, family-run charm, friendly service, and an endearing hole-in-the-wall feel. The whole setup feels local and community-driven. In fact, it was originally created by Berkeley students. Very cool. ---- Overall ---- Amazing hot dogs, great beer next door, friendly owners, inventive sides, and a fun, low-key vibe. It will hit the spot every time. I thought they might be closed because the front gate is closed, but if the side gate through the parking lot is open, it's open. They have a nice big open lot with tables to eat, and an inside tent as well. They were closing a little early for another event, so I waited about 15 minutes to get takeout and took it to a nearby park. The Chatamari is a great gluten-free option with its rice dough, I wasn't sure if it would be enough for a meal but it was plenty for $12! Topped with minced chicken, egg & a ton of spice, this place is not dialing down the spice for 'American' palates. Like a 'pizza' the rice dough is nice and chewy, but doesn't make you feel too stuffed. I want to go back and try the Bala made with lentils, and the Yomari dessert. The momo have a nice strong wrapper (hate it when those fall apart), good size with 8 for $12, they gave me half veggie & meat, thank you! The $5 mango lassi was delish, very yogurt-y, not enough of it to keep up with all the spice in my meal though. With its reasonable prices & good portions, it's a great option nearby for a tasty lunch or dinner.

Located next to the Peppermint Tree Plaza, MOMOlicious offers authentic Nepali bites in casual fashion. I appreciated the menu explaining what a mo mo is, the type of fillings offered, and different mo mo menu options. We ordered the Ultimate Jhol Mo:mo (steamed momo) served in a classic soup made from sesame seeds, tomato, cilantro, and soybean. We chose chicken. We also ordered the Nepali Chowmein with chicken as well. Loved the unique flavors, the textures, and exploration of this culinary cuisine. Personally, I enjoyed the chow mein way more-it was super flavorful and had a unique twist compared to other chow meins I've had. The momos were decent, but the chicken had a bit too much of a clove flavor for my taste, and I wish the sauce had a little more punch to it. Service was solid! Everything is made fresh, so it took a little longer than expected, but they've got a game area in front of the truck, so we passed the time playing cornhole, which was a nice touch for some fun ambiance. The only downside is the parking-it's a bit tight and street parking can be tough, especially on weekends. I'd definitely come back to try more of their menu. The chow mein alone is worth a return trip!
