They do a decent job but I found it a little more painful than most places and it's very understaffed so there can be long waits. Purchased a Groupon and it ended up expiring because no one picked up the phone or responded to my multiple attempts at scheduling an appointment via the website. I went in-person to schedule the appointment only for them to tell me that not only would they not grant me the price I paid for my Groupon, but they would not even put that amount towards the total price of the service. I was so happy and excited when I found Perfect Brows, Nood was the woman who originally helped me and she did a lovely job and at a very affordable price. The Manager is a nice man and always seems to be in a good mood that why I find it unfortunate that i have to share my experience with Januko ( might be Janieko, a younger girl). This girl had absolutely no idea what she was doing. I went in for a face wax and Nood was not in so I put my trust on Januko/Janieko and as she finishedI mentioned to her my face felt irritated (the wax felt a little warmer this time and smelt different), she proceeded to put aloe vera gel and it BURNED! Her and the Manager insured that it was just a temporary sensation and had me ice it. I was in a rush to class so I took their word and paid. That night I didn't sleep a wink because every time my cheek touched the pillow it would wake me up from the pain i felt. I woke up to a HUGE mark on my face and went thru an embarrassing day at the office where everyone looked at me as if I was in a brawl or accident. I went back to Perfect Brows, after going back and forth that I did NOT want a certificate ...the Manager finally gave me my money back ... I didnt fuss about the tip i gave Januko/Janieko.....but my TIP to EVERYONE is DO NOT LET HER NEAR YOU or just avoid this place at all cost!!! I'll admit I was hesitant to walk in, as the salon did not have the same visual appeal as my usual place in Soho. After getting pampered at Bumble and Bumble I happened to pass by this threading place. It looked so clean and was so pretty that I absolutely had to try it out, I should have known what I was in for with the lack of reviews on Yelp but I decided to give it a try. I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for years now and let me tell you, this place must have been the WORST threading place I have ever been to. I believe the owner of the salon was the one that threaded my eyebrows. She was SO SLOW and somehow made it painful. THEN she had the AUDACITY to tell me I NEED a lip wax and asked me if I shave down there or get brazillians in front of other customers (p.s. I have absolutely no hair on my lip whatsoever). First of all, that is none of her business and extremely rude. Second of all I know she was trying to make money but she just lost a customer by making me feel extremely uncomfortable. No matter what salon you go to, a Brazilian wax is never going to be pleasant. Or enjoyable. But. I was long overdue and needed something quick one day near my office and Mosma at perfect brows did a great job. She was friendly, patient, and fast! The salon is very clean and they don't double dip (which is key!). Long story short: it's a no frills spot but theyre clean, fast, reasonably priced, and you can trust Mosma with your lady bits. read more

What I experienced with Amy was as gentle and minimally painful as the process can be. If you're a first timer and want some beautifully-sculpted brows, I suggest this place and Amy. After visiting the Apple Store on 14th and 9th, I stopped by Perfect Brows NYC because it was all white, pink and squeaky clean I had to check it out. Sides, their eyebrow threading was 7 bucks which isn't too bad for NYC standards. Having grown up in India, I am very picky about my eyebrow places. There were two ladies there, and the skinny lady seemed to be more skilled than the owner (who has a rounder face). I ended up with the owner Nasseem. She is a little slow, but will makes sure the job gets done. Maybe I will get it done from the skinny lady next time and give this place five stars. CLEANEST THREADING PLACE EVER. read more

I get my brows threaded regularly in DC, thought NYC can't be bad. When I walked into this store and there was no other customers in there. With one good review on yelp I figured, why not. While threading, the woman was trying to sell me the waxing and other services. How she manage to speak while using her teeth to thread is beyond me. Her speed was slow and inconsistent, and the pull was weak, that's like talking on the phone while mowing grass in random patches and not row by row. Translation=a bad job. Needless to say the results came out less than mediocre. My brows are 'cleaned' but not shaped, and the top looks more like they are 'shaven' and not 'plugged', I can see the tiny dots of roots. Afterwards I asked if it's 'shaped' because it didn't look like it and she's like yea sure. Then tries to sells the buy 9 get one free deal again. Then why didn't she just wait to sell until the job was done!?!??! I'm done with the bs. read more

This has got to be my umpteenth eyebrow threading/waxing review. I absolutely LOVE this place. I just happened upon it while walking through MPD one day and in need of a brow fix. Honestly, I did Yelp it before walking in. At the time, there were probably five reviews, but I decided to take chances. I was extremely happy with the results! Jyoti was very gentle and took her time, and the best part was that $7 later, my brows were ready to take on New York! Although I'm sure there are tons of great brow places in NY, I still go out of my way to frequent this one. This place is one of my go to spots for quick eyebrow threading when I'm in a rush. The service is fast and reliable--they've always done a great job! I used to do lip threading there, but I've grown less brave with time and usually forgo that for a lip wax instead, which has generally been reliable, but I will say they are best at threading. Ive come here on many occasions but i usually do the sugar waxing under my arms. Each time is a pleasant experience with the few ladies who did my waxing. I also do the bikini waxing from time to time. Mira (hopefully i spelled it right) was very pleasant today. She did my underarms and deep bikini wax. Of course it was painful, what wax isnt?! But she was very patient and understanding even though i was sweating so bad which slowed down the process because the sugar wax doesnt work well with sweat. Anyway, she did a good and quick job.
