I have been looking for shoes for my upcoming wedding for 2 1/2 weeks. My friends and I went shopping everyday, going from east bay, north bay, San Francisco, you name a store and we went there. We could not find any shoes that came even close to being able to work for my wedding. My dress fitting is quickly approaching so the panic set in after being informed they wont do it until I have the shoes I will be wearing. After calling literally anywhere that mentioned they carried shoes I finally got ahold of Lisa. She was absolutely amazing and my worries started to be put at ease as soon as we started talking. While searching around for jewelry for the wedding day, I came upon Perfect Details and found out they were just a few minutes away! I sent them an e-mail to see if I could stop by the showroom - Lisa, the owner, responded right away and was also very responsive to all of my e-mails and questions. I felt so bad, I came in on a super busy day but Lisa still let me come in and peruse around. She even took the time to ask me about the neckline of my dress, details of the fabric, she asked about my bridesmaids and what they're wearing... and then helped me come up with some great ideas on how to accessorize the whole group and what pieces and colors would go well with the dresses and fabrics. She's very energetic and knowledgeable. The best part, her stuff is actually real crystal (and for the price, it's ridiculously cheap, especially compared to JCrew's accessories which are all glass). Make an appointment if you want to see the items in person. Literally one week before my wedding, I decided I needed new accessories. I had a pearl and crystal bracelet I borrowed from my cousin (super beautiful btw) and vintage chandelier earrings from nordies, but they didn't match. I had already checked out Haute Bride a few weeks prior, but didn't have enough time to custom order anything and I didn't love any of the stock items which the worker said she could sell to me. So in a last minute bridal frenzy, I turned to Yelp and found Perfect Details. I thought it was an online store only, but to my delight, the owner, Lisa, said I could schedule an appointment to come in. I didn't know what to expect or if the inventory would even be worth the drive I made from San Jose. Some items looked good online, but its always so hard to tell when I can't see it in person. Fast forward: she had a lot of stock and several pieces which I LOVED. Two in particular were crystal drop earrings from Erin Cole and a crystal barrette for my hair (which I saw online first). LOVED them! I'll post photos once I get them back from my photographer. I wasn't ready to splurge on my top choice earrings so i settled for cheaper ones instead but told Lisa I might be back in a few days if I changed my mind. Well, I changed my mind and had no problem paying the difference and getting the other ones. Wedding day: in a video of the first dance, I could totally see my cute hairpiece and I got compliments on my earrings all night long! Love it! In hindsight, I feel a little crazy for throwing down so much on two items, but if I had a chance to do it again, I'd still do it because I'm glad I splurged and I'll have pictures to look back on forever. Iconic details for the classic bride. I found my gorgeous and vintage looking earrings from Perfect Details. Everything in the bridal stores or online were so cookie cutter, but Lisa from Perfect Details brings a completely different and timeless element to bridal jewelry and accessories. Since my earrings were made to order, Lisa ensured the artist made them EXACTLY as depicted on the website. She even had the artist make a new pair because the stones were pink instead of the opaque green, as shown online. Lisa to the rescue! I had nothing but a great experience at Lisa's store. I was in search of a last minute gift of Sorelli jewelry. I went to local Nordstrom but it turned out they stopped carrying Sorelli. There was no other local store that I could find to purchase the jewelry I was looking for. I went searching on Google and somehow landed on Lisa's website. I called her and she was very helpful over the phone. She accmodated my busy schedule snd we made appointment to meet at her store. The next day I met Lisa at her small store and got personal service that's hard to find these days. She showed me several Sorelli sets -her collection is much bigger and diverse than what even Nordstrom used to carry. I ended up buying two necklaces and set of earrings -all at a great price. Not to mention the gifts were a major hit! Based on my experience, I would definitely be back at her store in future! read more

I bought a pair of Catherine Popesco earrings which arrived with a missing crystal. The crystal must have already been missing before shipment because I could not find any loose crystal in the packaging. I had to get it shipped through a 3rd party company because they don't ship direct to where I live. Although I contacted them as soon as I received the earrings, due to a delay in transfer by the 3rd party company, a situation which was out of my control, it was beyond their 30 day return policy time frame. When I explained my situation, they seemed understanding at first and even apologized for their mistake. They gave me the options of an exchange or they could mail me replacement crystals. It was a no brainer for me to choose the crystal replacement option so that I could avoid the troublesome returns process since again I could not directly ship back to them and the cost of shipment itself makes it not worth it. Furthermore, I understandably had a lack of confidence that the returns would go smoothly after receiving a damaged item and reading the previous negative reviews on their return policy. I even asked for a 3rd option of a small partial refund just to cover the cost of getting the crystal replaced locally so I could avoid waiting. However they ignored that totally and just said they would mail me the crystals. Well guess what, they did not deliver after almost 2 months even with repeated reminders (their replies also subsequently became more delayed and vague). When I tried to get them to expedite the process since my wedding was approaching in 2 weeks, they actually told me to get it replaced myself since the crystal was pretty common and should be easy to find! Their excuse was that La Vie did not send them the replacement, but if the crystal was that easy to find, surely they could have gotten it through other means and sent it to me? What takes the cake was how when I again requested for a partial refund for my troubles, they then tried to push the blame to me for not taking up the returns option in the 1st place and were also dishonest about details of our correspondence even though I have the entire email chain as evidence. They kept harping on how it was my own fault for not returning the item even though they would have paid for the return shipping from the point of my third party shipping address back to them- but this was never even offered at all in their original emails! They also accused me of not asking for a partial refund in the first place and only demanding for it now- absolutely ridiculous since I asked them twice before and it was just always conveniently ignored! Not delivering on their promise is bad enough but trying to then shirk all responsibility by pushing the blame back on the customer is in my opinion absolutely appalling behaviour and should not be condoned. The fundamental issues are that 1) they delivered a damaged item in the first place. 2) They said they would send replacement crystals but they did not honour the promise. 3) When approached for an alternative solution (to a problem which they created in the first place by sending a damaged item) they attempted to push the blame back to the customer by citing false facts and reverting back to their standard return policy as an excuse to absolve themselves of any responsibility. They still have not replied to my last email asking if they were still going to send me the replacement crystals. Obviously they never really intended to send them in the first place and were just employing delay tactics the whole while. Good customer service should not be solely based on pre-sales service, a truer measure I feel is how a problem post-sales is dealt with. In this respect I cannot possibly recommend this company to anyone based on their attitude and actions. I hope my experience serves as a cautionary tale to others. I know now I certainly should have heeded the earlier reviews by other unhappy online customers on their bad experiences and stayed well away from them! read more

Perfect Details has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. My sister tried to order shoes online and when they came, the heel was too tall for her. After talking to a rep on the phone about the return policy, she packaged them up and sent them back RIGHT after trying them on. Perfect Details sent them back to her stating that they were damaged and couldn't be returned. We both spoke with them after and they said that they were obviously worn (well, duh, she tried them on) and after continually interupting and saying that they were damaged, they refused to take them back. Now my sister is out $150 because she tried on shoes. The owner, Lisa, also sent an extremely rude email stating why they can't be returned. I have never experienced a professional that rude before and I would never recommend them to anyone. read more

She spent almost 2 hours with me discussing what styles would look best, showing me necklaces, and finding other options online. She had a lot of great ideas about what styles would and wouldn't work with my dress. She also had insight into customizations that the jewelry designers could do (eg. changing the setting from silver to gold for a crystal chain I liked, changing colors, swapping out stone size, etc). My original review is from a year ago. I don't know why it says 22 days ago. The owner has messaged me and says they didn't know the order was wrong until it went out, but that's not what I was told when I called. I was told they only had one of the pair I ordered, they were broken, so they decided to send me different ones. Apparently the different earrings were more expensive and NO I was not charged for the more expensive pair I never ordered, but I WAS charged for the original pair I never received. Eventually after shipping back the pair I didn't order I was refunded in full. Again- not sure why this shows as a new review, but figured I could add details since the owner is stating they never knew that the wrong ones were sent until I called. I needed to purchase a pair of black opera length gloves and beautiful cuff bracelets for a black-tie gala. I found the perfect details at Perfect Details as their name suits them! I ordered the Caroline Amato gloves and the Modital Bijoux marquis flower cuff as well as the Modital Bijoux scroll cuff. These cuff bracelets are so exquisite they rival the real diamond ones, so much sparkle and very well made as they are sterling silver with high end cubic zirconia stones. The gloves were beautiful as well. And to top everything off, I needed all of these items quickly for my event and I worked with Lisa the owner and she is awesome and assisted me with everything right down to the selection of items appropriate for a black tie event! I have never written a review for any business, but they were so helpful I felt I had to acknowledge what a wonderful customer service experience I had. I emailed on a Friday morning because I wanted to order a pair of earrings for my maid of honor, but had concerns about whether they would make it in time with standard shipping. They got back to me within a couple of hours (I am in a different time zone and am 3 hours ahead-it was early in California!) and explained if I ordered that day it should make it. They then proceeded to ship the item same day-even earlier than I was originally told they would be able to and it was here plenty early. SUCH a great experience.
