as an individual who only got haircuts from his dad back in the day (str8 up razor to scalp lol) ive been struggling with feeling like myself when it comes to "looking great to feel great". in the past couple years ive been to other places, but i always never had the hair needs met the way that got me feelin' like myself again. then i stumbled upon this salon and booked an appointment for the next day. even tho i was late, the receptions were welcoming and understanding. the stylist, marirose, provided the best hair cut experience ive ever had (without being to excessive on my opinion). not only did she provide a consolation and customized look, but she also explained what she was doing to my hair to help show me how i can look great and feel great when ever i want! i never knew what style of hair i wanted, but with the help of marirose and her asking what my personal preferences were, she was able to come up with a look that ive been envisioning for myself in awhile! it's kinda hard to look in the mirrior now and see how much of a glow up i got just by visiting marirose at the perfect gentlemens. gonna take sum getting used to lol. but overall great vibes and one heck of an experience at the salon. lookin forward to my next visit. read more

I went to The Perfect Gentleman Salon for the first time and had a great experience. When I arrived for my appointment, I wasn't completely sure what services were included. The woman at the front desk let me know that the appointment didn't originally include a beard trim, but she was able to make an adjustment for me, which I really appreciated. My barber was Rome, and he did an amazing job. I mentioned that I had my engagement photo shoot the next day, and he made sure everything looked perfect. I actually recognized him because he used to work at another barbershop a few years ago, and it was great to see he's still doing excellent work. Rome has 10+ years of experience, and it really shows. He pays close attention to detail and takes pride in his work. At one point he was even managing two clients at once while still making sure everyone got the attention they needed. He also stayed a little longer to make sure my beard was properly shaved and finished, which I really appreciated. Overall, everyone at the shop was super friendly and helpful. Big shoutout to the front desk for helping accommodate my request, and to Rome for the great haircut and beard trim. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

Stopped by this barbershop after walking past it a few times, and I'm glad I did. From the outside, it looks kind of small, but once you're inside it's surprisingly spacious, super clean, and really well put together. Everyone I met--barbers and staff--had a chill, positive vibe. Super welcoming and easy to talk to, including the owner. Blue was my barber and she was awesome. She greeted me before I even got to the door, kept the conversation flowing, had great energy, and made sure I was taken care of the whole time. I got a neck cleanup, shampoo/conditioner, and a scalp treatment that left me feeling refreshed and relaxed for the rest of the day. The scalp treatment especially was next level--cool and soothing in the best way. The place has an upscale feel without being pretentious. Good energy, good people, and quality service. I began my visit with a friendly welcome from Daisy. For those unfamiliar with the protocol of a salon of this calibre, it's great that she took the initiative to say hi and make sure I was comfortable. As for the stylist, Nicholas has such an amazing passion for his work. He always makes sure that he is 100% focused on what you want and how to make it work. He's also extremely personable whereas others might let you sit in silence while they work. Finally, a shave with Ricky caps off the day. He has a wonderful eye for shaping my beard and matching it to the hair cut. And he plays (and sings!) some great music as well. All in all, there isn't a better group of people to give you the attention your hair needs in Pasadena. Highly recommended. read more

What an amazing experience. I generally don't spend more than $50 on a haircut, but I have to say barber Alex Tran was worth it. I was running some errands in Pasadena last month and had an important meeting the next day so needed to find a haircutting place last minute. Lucky for me, The Perfect Gentleman was open later than most, so they were able to get me in. Alex was a true barber...he used scissors the entire time (vs clippers) and gave me exactly what I was looking for. He made my super fine hair look much thicker than it naturally is and gave me a great product recommendation that's made my hair much easier to style. Honestly, The Gentleman Salon is a great place. They were able to fit me in at the last minute during what was basically a haircut emergency.
