Liliya had her work cut out for her and managed to worked with my face structure and the existing lines to create a perfectly symmetrical look in a beautiful deep brown ("Snickers") that looks fantastic with my skin tone and helps make my blue eyes pop. Her stroke work was incredible, very light yet meticulous hand to create the look of genuine microblading (my personal preference) rather than shading/ombré. Twin Brows was a refreshing since I haven't had much luck finding a good eyebrow threading salon in Woodside. Plus, I got to connect (which is rare in eyebrow threading) with Gita, the owner, who was so pleasant and always made sure that I walked out happy. The service prices are pretty standard and comparable with other salons, but I do feel like hygiene control is better here than at many of the places that I have gone to. I tried the eye brow threading ($5) and the eyelash extensions ($20) around the first week of January. I knew I should've said never mind when she told me to keep my eyes open when I was getting the eye lash extension. The eyelash extensions comes in the a couple options, short, medium natural, medium, long natural, and long. I got medium natural and they looks fine, however, it was a painful experience and I don't think I'll be returning here again. The lady doing my eye lash extension told me to keep my eyes open during the process, which Was something I've never heard when it came to eye lash extensions. My eye was really irritated with the glue, it was super red and teared a little. It wasn't until an eyelash with eye lash glue fell into my eye that I got really upset! The lady didn't even clean up the eye lash and eye lash glue in my eye until I asked her to. I left with eye lash glue residue in my eye and my eye has been irritated since. On the other hand, the eye brow threading was really nice. The two stars is for the eye brow threading experience and lash extension experience. I was communicating with someone thinking all along it was Jenny. I sent pictures and they advise a touch up would be no problem and they needed to speak to me. We agreed on a time but I never received a call. I texted the following day to receive a response that her child was sick, understandable. So I asked to let me know when we can arrange another time to speak. The next message I received was stating, I'm a Jenny and you were speaking to my assistant, based on your pictures your eyebrows are too Saturated, you'll need tattoo laser removal. First of all I don't have a tattoo and the only reason I considered Jenny was because my girl Sam from The Eyebrow Queen in Saddle brook, NJ is super busy on Saturday's and I had vacation due and wanted to peel during this time. Jenny should have taken the time to call me to ask about my situation instead of just recommending a solution first. I have screen shots of the conversations! Glad Sam was able to squeeze me in soon. Right after I got them done, they looked beautiful but by the third day, they were about three times as dark and starting to scab visibly. By the end of the second week, I started to relax because most of the scabs has fallen off and were looking ok as they were getting lighter. I have oily skin, so I ended up losing about 30% of the color. I was nervous again because my touch-up wasn't for another three weeks! Anyhow, it's been two weeks since my touch up and I'm in love again! This photo was taken at the end of a long day, so it's not the best but you can see how perfect my eyebrows look! Jenny is an artist who knows her stuff. The salon is clean, she only uses new tools and loves what she does. I could not recommend anyone but her if you're thinking about doing this. I typically get my brows threaded, but after following Malikah IG account, I learned how threading long term is not beneficial to the growth of your eyebrows. I loved that the owner not only provided a service not educated you as well. The space was clean, and everyone was practicing social distancing and wearing a mask. I encourage making an appointment as I believe it helps the staff to control the flow of customers. This salon offers facials, nails, and eyebrow services. I can't wait to make my next appointment.
