One of my favorite places in this part of the valley. The menu is huge so it is hard to decide what to order, but I usually get the spicy ginger quinoa bowl with chicken or shrimp, falafel tacos (skip the cheese because already a lot of other salty ingredients), or Brussels sprout salad no bacon (I've had this as a wrap with falafel too - just a little too huge). Pesto vinaigrette, which is in many dishes, is great. Disappointments lately have been the spinach dip (very oily and not much spinach) and the green garden quinoa bowl (very soggy seemingly steamed veggies, not roasted). Sweet potato fries usually disappoint as well, I suspect they are from frozen. I've never ventured to the pasta or sandwich/grilled cheese sections of the menu, but the plates always look good when they go by. Some of the portions do look quite large. Service is is good, maybe not always *great*. I wish they would turn the music down a tad but it's not near as bad as some places. Will continue to be a regular here unless something takes a turn for the worse. read more

Wasn't a huge fan. Staff was very friendly and helpful, but the food just wasn't great. We had 2 sandwiches. Spinach dip was great though!

I love this location better than the new one in Chandler. I don't know why it just has a better ambience I think. I have had the tacos here. I have had salads here quite a few things on their menu and it's always been really really good. I think the cauliflower buffalo Appetizer is really good. Has a vegetarian option if that's what you like. They have great craft cocktails really great lunch spot. Always a great service even when they're busy try it out. read more

Cute place! Started with the quesadilla. Delicious highly recommend. My son ordered the pear classic with chicken. His favorite go to. Hubby got the Baja Lime salad with added chicken. He said it was very tasty. I ordered the pear grilled cheese and tomato soup. OMG! Absolutely scrumptious. The spiced pear bread and the cheese flavors worked wonderfully! Highly suggest trying this. Menu has a lot of healthy good options along with some cocktails to keep the lunch party light and fun!!! I went with the Soup and Salad combo to keep my balance and it was filling and good. We knew what we wanted walking in but appreciated the server providing us with some specials and suggestions. Another favorite of mine is the signature Grilled Cheese which is a cheese blend with bacon, arugula & it has a grilled spiced pear bread that is solid. It's been years since I've been to Perfect Pear bistro and my go to has always been the Green Garden bowl (or at least something similar to it) and it's just as good every time as the first time I had it. The roasted veggies with the quinoa and lemon sauce and pesto is *chefs kiss*. I added chicken to mine for extra protein! My husband ordered the Rose Amatricana pasta which was full of flavor with the bacon, carmelized onion, and roasted red pepper. He added chicken to his dish too :) We shared the pear and peach cobbler for dessert and it was the perfect balance of soft cake, crunchy crumbles and the creamy ice cream. The ice cream made it well worth it in this heat, but this would definitely be a go-to comfort food dessert in the fall. Our servers were Riley & Kylie and they were both friendly and attentive. The peach desert (I forgot the name) is just perfection and I think this is one of the very few places in Tempe that seem romantic and chill at the same time. So you can go on a cute date without having to dress up that much! Our server was nice but also a bit intense. She was quick in everything including bringing the check. Why do they bring the check without being asked? I'll never get that. We were eating and also contemplating on getting a dessert which we eventually did. Just ask me if I want anything before bringing me the check. I understand why they do that in some places that are trying to clear up tables but this kind of place shouldn't do that. This place is in a really good location with other things near it as well as a distillery right next door. I got the Southwest Philly Sandwich with fries which was really delicious. My friend got the Buffalo Chicken tacos and tomato basil soup which were both amazing. We got the brussels sprouts as an app and they were really great, definitely get these! Took my kid on a lunch date here on a Saturday afternoon shortly after they opened. It wasn't crazy busy, the server and greeter were nice. The place was clean. I ordered a mimosa and the pesto chicken salad with their seasonal side which was a watermelon cucumber salad. My son got the kids chicken strips meal with fries and a lemonade. I feel like it should be called a chicken nugget meal to lower expectations because it definitely wasn't strips. Everything was great except the watermelon cucumber salad. It seemed like it may have been sitting too long. It had watermelon, sunflower seeds, cucumber, and feta. Nice idea, not so great execution. We'll definitely be back though because that's the only thing I didn't like that I've tried there and it was a seasonal item, not a traditional menu item. read more

This is my go-to place. I have been here multiple times. The interior is done very nicely and modern. The service is always friendly and excellent. I've never had a bad experience. The food is delicious! Their quinoa bowls are my favorite. They put just the right mix of flavors together. I like it so much I even try to replicate some of them at home (I don't do as good of a job, but it quenches the craving). I eat Paleo and there are tons of options on the menu for me. We had a Cabo Spicy Cobb Salad and an Autumn Quinoa Bowl with added Salmon - both dishes were excellent, nicely balanced flavors and I would especially recommend the salad, it is not surprising that it is one of the most popular dishes here. I saw a review on PBS Check Please Arizona and wanted to try it. My family and I loved the ambience. It was a tad dark with the lighting but the decor is welcoming. We were brought to a 4-top immediately. The restaurant was full on the inside in a Saturday at 5pm. Didn't realize they had happy hour til 6pm and they had many choices and seasonal beverage specials. We started with the spinach dip which came with bread and chips it was delicious and creamy. It was a top 3 spinach dip. My husband and son had different grilled cheese sandwiches and they both loved them. The bread holds all the bacon, cheeses and jalapeños well. My other son got the pesto chicken sandwich and could only eat half. Yummy. The pasta garlic Alfredo sauce was garlicky and creamy but subtle. Not slathered all over. The noodle were firm with zucchini and mushroom. The side/dinner salads were delicious. We got the two desserts to take home a peach/pear cobbler and a brownie both with ice cream. Highly recommend. We LOVE Perfect Pear Bistro, but we live in midtown Phoenix so it is a journey to get to Tempe. We just found this one off Ray road...since we go to Tucson frequently - we can jump off the freeway and grab some of those Incredible hummus nachos! Today, we just needed a light meal to get to Tucson, so we opted for the 1/2 salad & 1/2 pasta option. The Pear Cobb salad was amazing! Great job on creating a salad that was interesting but also not over done in an abundance of ingredients and flavors. We also had Tony's pasta and that did not disappoint with the mushrooms and zucchini lathered in an amazing Alfredo sauce. Great place!! read more
