    Huevos Rancheros with crispy bacon.

This has quickly become our favorite breakfast place. Their huevos rancheros is amazing and you can customize it however you want. The standard dish comes with red potatoes sandwiched between two tostada shells, but I substitute hash browns for the red potatoes. They also make the best Chilaquiles (breakfast nachos) I've ever had and they aren't even on their main menu. They are on a supplemental seasonal menu but I think it should be a featured item on their main menu. They are a scratch kitchen, so everything is fresh and unique.

Want to start by saying that they used to have a dog friendly patio and we noticed a sign on the door saying no dogs. Asked and learned due to an incident where a server was bit by a dog, their policy changed after that. Carlos was our server and he was friendly and helpful as we made a couple of modifications on what we ordered. They do charge extra for additional Hollandaise sauce and wife wanted a plain biscuit and they upped it for a buck...no worries! Times are different now! We sat outside on the patio which was nice. Love having the sound of water. Birds...many birds and we watched as they stole jelly packets off tables and used their beaks to break into them! Didn't take long for food to arrive...and we learned that Carlos' dad is the chef! Love the Hollandaise! Nice and lemony...had the classic eggs Benedict with eggs over medium. Perfectly cooked over medium eggs!!! Nice piece of flavorful ham on English muffins. Had the red potatoes which were seasoned well and were so good. Wife had the chicken fried steak with eggs medium and red potatoes. The gravy was really good and not salty as sometimes is the case with restaurant gravy. She asked for a biscuit which was extremely crumbly but had a good flavor. Overall a great breakfast! In response to the fly comments...normal when eating outside for sure. Agree with the suggestion to purchase fly fans...we use them at home and they work pretty well.

Four adults and one baby. We sat outside. Nice breeze. Our server was very attentive. Her name was Karlie. Each of us had ordered different dishes. Our nephew ordered the country fried steak with hash browns and sour dough bread. His wife ordered strawberry crepe. My wife ordered the California Benidict. And I had the Mahi tacos. Everything was delicious . Reasonably priced and quick. Definitely will be back.

Usually not much of a breakfast guy, but had to drop friends off early at PHX. Yelp reviews said this place was good for breakfast and they were right. Carlos the server was right on it the moment we walked in. Got our drinks then breakfast orders. Wow was the food good. My wife had the pork tamales with eggs and I had the country fried steak with biscuits and gravy. Way more than I can eat, but it was fantastic.

Came here for a Saturday Breakfast, and I was surprised that this place makes really yummy food. We got to try corned hash, and egg Benedict, they both were so good, like they don't look like those brunch from Instagram, but it's classic and cozy and actually tastes good! And people here seemed friendly and we just felt comfortable eating comfortably! Definitely would come back here again!

Really happy to have found this "hole in the wall" breakfast place. The food and service were great and the prices were still somehow affordable here. Crowned egg is tucked away in a corner but the space inside is large enough for a few 4+ groups and numerous smaller tables. I got the cinnamon roll French toast which was a great treat. Eggs over-medium were cooked properly. The kids liked their food as well (pancakes, french toast, scrambled eggs with cheese). Overall good place and good prices. This is gonna be our new default breakfast place, I think.

Came here for brunch after church, our served Carlos was awesome, and the food came up quickly but it wasn't anything to rave about. They placed a cheddar slice of cheese on top of my omelette, very lazy. The red potatoes were really good. If you sit outside the flies will be all over you. They might need to get those fly fans for the tables outside. We had good breakfast though

The weather is getting so beautiful i be AZ, i appreciated they have a nice outdoor seating. I went there on a Sunday around 9am and i was surprised to find out that it is actually not crowded! At all! Later i understood why. The food is not tasty. I ordered a veggie skillet as i could not find anything else on the menu as a person with gluten sensitivity. They don't also have GF bread which would allow me to try many of their other options.

For me nothing beats that small, family-owner, locally patronized vibe and The Crowned Egg nails it. Solid food. Good prices. Friendly service. Got the California Benedict and thought it was tasty. Coffee refills came by often. Kid's meals were a good bit of food for $8. The Crowned Egg will be a regular stop for us.

Delicious Birria Benedict, huge serving, delicious poached eggs. Iced coffee was pretty good too. Very attentive servers, nice staff. Had a fun brunch with a friend who was in town. Some pop music played quietly in the background.

Breakfast was delicious 10/10 , service should have been a 8-9/10 but it was a 6-7/10 ... other than that it was a good find I'll be back .

Decided to come here for a late brunch Sunday morning. No wait and got seated at a booth. Restaurant is small but spacious enough to not feel cramped at all. Food was good and everything was fine till the end. She asked if we were done and if we wanted a box. I pointed to my partners dish and said one box please. She offered a takeout of water or coffee too. She came back with the cup and then we paid the bill and left. When we got to the car we realized we weren't given the take out box. I walked back in and she said "I asked if you were done and you said yes, we would never box it for you." She offered to remake the side and they did however the reprimand left a sour taste. She then walked out of the kitchen and said "I'm done" and wasn't kind. I can understand she was busy and maybe didn't catch what we had said, however mentioning they would never box it for the table and accusing us of saying something different was a little odd when a simple apology would have sufficed.

The food tasted fresh, flavorful, and came out fast. We ordered the California Eggs Benefict, blackened chicken, and the churro pancake. Portions were generous without feeling over the top. Super friendly, attentive without hovering, and made the whole experience feel easy and fun.

From the moment we walked in, it felt like we were an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests. There was a group of servers standing around chatting, and no one acknowledged us for several minutes. After being seated, it took about 10 minutes before a server came over just to offer water and ask about drinks. We placed our drink order, and while the coffee came in a carafe, it wasn't even hot. The rest of the drinks trickled out later. Then it was another 20+ minutes before the server came back to take our food order. We ordered two simple build-your-own breakfasts and an Ultimate Grilled Cheese (no fries), plus two Cobb salads to go. Nothing complicated--yet the food took a long time to come out. During that entire wait, our server never checked on us once. No updates, no refills, nothing. When the food finally arrived, we ate, and again--no check-in, no "how is everything," no refill offers. Eventually, she dropped the check off without a word. We had to remind her about the two Cobb salads we ordered to go. She said they'd be right out, and a couple minutes later they showed up with a revised bill. Before leaving, we checked the salads--and that was the final straw. For $18, they were basically side salads. No cheese, no grilled chicken, no avocado, no croutons, no green onions, and not even any hard boiled eggs--just iceberg lettuce, a few tomatoes, bacon, and ranch dressing. Completely unacceptable for what's supposed to be a Cobb salad. We waited at the table for about 5 minutes for someone to come back--no one did. So we went up front and stood there another 5 minutes while multiple staff members ignored us, continuing their closing routines. Not a single person asked if we needed help, and our server was nowhere to be found. At that point, we left the salads behind, paid for the rest of the meal, and walked out. Terrible service from start to finish, and the food quality didn't make up for it. We won't be back.

Always hoping a local recommendation turns out great. *Service: the service was fair. Our waitress spent most of the time sitting in the booth across from us on her phone and checked in occasionally. A few times we had to ask for things we needed. Nothing rude, just not especially attentive or engaged. Definitely didn't feel like her #1 priority. *Food: I ordered the tuna *melt*. It was alright, but nothing to write home about. The tuna itself was relatively cold (should have been warm on a melt) and lacked flavor, the cheese wasn't melted (it's a "melt", right?), and the bread was good. I dipped and drenched in salt, pepper, ranch and hot sauce to give it some flavor. The fries were good, hot and tasty. Overall, it felt like a mid-level café sandwich made by a basic "cook", not a well curated restaurant sandwich. My lunch buddy ordered a smothered omelette that looked great, and he said it was very good, so that was good. *Ambiance: the atmosphere was decent. Very basic, a bit cold feeling, café-like, casual, and reasonably comfortable. Nothing stood out strongly other than it seemed pretty clean and bright. *Value: my tuna melt and fries, with no drink, was $16. Not great, not terrible. It felt like an $8-$10 sandwich max for what I got, not a standout value. I posted a picture of their specials board so you can get a feel for the value. *Overall: everything here was fair, food, service, and ambiance while value was not great. Nothing bad, nothing memorable. A three-star experience for me. I wouldn't rush back, but wouldn't avoid it if I was in the area and others wanted to go. *Update: I have a strong reputation for detailed, honest, and trustworthy reviews.
