Left a hole in my eyebrows, don't come here. Really bad job and way overthreaded

I came here on a Tuesday afternoon and there were no clients so no waiting. It was kind of hard to find, as it was in the Concourse (go down the stairs from the 6th Avenue entrance), but outside the main shops area. I told her that I wanted to keep my eyebrow shape and thickness, I just need them cleaned up a little bit. My eyes did water pretty bad, but she did a great job and it was $10. The worst! I never write a review but I was so pissed how awful they did. Took them literally a min to do it and left so many scars on my eyebrows. Since the store is quiet dim , you can't really see the stray hairs. When I came home, I discovered a bunch of stray hairs AND A HOLE on my left eyebrow!!! I had a bad threading experience before but not as bad as here. Seriously, don't waste your money and time. read more

I found this through yelp and am so glad I did! I went last night around 5:30 and walked right in with no wait. It was my first threading. I was a little nervous and said it was my first time, hoping to get a little info or narrative of what was going to happen. Nope, she told me where to put my hands to stretch out my skin. Oh well, now I am a pro and learned what it's all about! I love the results! I have sensitive skin and get red welts from waxing. I still had redness, but not so bad that people ask me what happened, like from waxing! The shape is excellent, one of the best results I've gotten! I have been going to see Rishma for about 20 years. I follow her wherever she goes. I have moved out of state and at one point would fly up to get my brows done by her. I recently returned to NY area again and went running back to her to fix what the other girl had done. She had magic hands. I will be back to her in a few weeks to continue on my path to fixing my brows. read more

Well, it's not the worst threading place I've been too BUT I am certainly not coming back. 1) MY eyebrows weren't shaped I asked before we started to make them thinner so that it has more shape... I was told "lets clean it up, you don't need to do thinner"... after she "cleaned" it up by eye brows were still in terrible shape and I said to make it thinner... she tried to convince me not to do it... 2nd time around we got closer... but I wasn't happy... and clearly she wasn't going to work with me ... so now I still have bushy eyebrows that still need to be shaped... and will need to whip out my eyebrow scissors to get it done right. What a freaking waste of money. 2) I asked for my chin to be done too. She missed 50% what is straight up VISIBLE. Is she blind? My eyebrows are hurting 20 min later (still) and I feel like I just wasted $20. Unless you know who to see I would rather to go another establishment. Two thumbs down most certainly not going to come back. read more

Waste of time and money. I don't know what she did on my brows because when she told me she was done, the lines were uneven/not clean and there were still obvious stray hairs everywhere. I had to point out/ the stray hairs each time she finished. Plus the lighting in there sucked so when I got home I saw even more stray hairs and ended up correcting them myself. Meh. Next. read more

I like this place for eyebrow threading (I haven't tried anything else here). The price is fair and they usually do a thorough job. I most recommend Abhi as some others that I have tried have not been as careful and precise. Make sure to specify how thin you want to go, otherwise they might take off more than you want. read more

I used to come here years ago when I worked in Rockefeller Center. I loved the job they did and the price was decent. Well things have changed. I went in yesterday for a simple eye brow clean up. The woman who threaded me took out a chunk of my left eyebrow and cut me under my right eye brow (threaded incorrectly so it grabbed my skin and left several marks). Then when I showed her the chunk she took out, she said "no I didn't do that, it was like that". Seriously?! I've lived with these eyebrows for 34 years - I think I would know. I know it is weird is underground near the subway.. but I have tried threading elsewhere and it has been a disaster! They are very nice, all business, and they know what they are doing. I have gone here numerous times, as I work very close. I highly recommend and they will have you in and out before anyone sees you getting your brows done underground! My NY spot. I went there for a bikini wax. The place didn't seem very clean. The wax was not warm enough. The girl wasn't focusing on what she was doing, she seemed to be in a rush. She was hurting me and didn't seem to care. The removed more hair on one side than on the other. Filthy, painful and ugly. I'm not coming back, at least for waxing. read more

I used to come here regularly a few years ago for my eyebrows. The location was convenient, and the ladies used to do a pretty good job. I've been there twice over the past few months, and I was very dissatisfied. They went too quickly, and of course, took some skin off my eyebrows in the process. read more

I just remembered why this is my last-resort place. Whenever I can't go to the salon I usually go to (Unique Threading on 23rd street and 8th avenue), I come here. It's very close to my office. I went today to do my lower, upper and chin area. After she finished, she didn't even ask if I wanted aloe vera or whatever lotion they use. I noticed that they do not do a thorough job of removing your hairs and leave stray hairs. Plus, when you finish and go to pay, they don't even ask if you were pleased with the job. 6 Years i have been coming to this place for my eyebrows faithfully and my only complaint was 2 of my best eyebrow ladies moved :( then i found jenny! she is really good! she really pays attention to detail and to the way your eyebrows grow naturally AND it never hurts when she threads.
