Acne facial! First off, the whole experience was great. I was a little skeptical because I found this skin care parlor on Groupon but don't let that scare you! I got the 90 minute Acne Facial and it was amazing (minus the "massage"). Tina extracted my whiteheads & blackheads, gave me a sample of under eye treatment, and a handful of other treatments that did help tremendously in both my active hormonal acne, pigmentation, and scars. - Massage is very mid. I wish she rubbed less and just focused on my acne because the rub down might've made my knots even more tense. - Parking: I got lucky and parked on the street right in front (2hr limit) Overall, I'd definitely come back! I had an appt for 12/26/2023 at 1:30 PM. I purchased a Groupon for 90 minute acne clarifying facial with professional LED, which retailed on the website for $49. Booking: I called Perfect Skin Care on 12/21 2-3x before 12:00 PM, but didn't get a pickup -which now makes sense, since I don't think there's a receptionist and it's only Tina. I ended up texting the number to see if I could make the appt and fortunately, Tina texted back (with another number). We gave out a few dates and time and eventually landed on a specific time. I would recommend to just text to make the appointment since that was a lot easier and Tina may be helping a customer. Experience: The facial was relaxing in the beginning. However, her facial massages were not that strong in the face. Also, the massage felt quite repetitive and went on for a long time.. to the point where I was just thinking if she could instead, just spend a little bit more time on the extractions lol. I think if the facial massage had more pressure, it would feel nicer. The acne extractions were extremely painful, but keep in mind that I haven't gotten an acne facial for a hot minute so my pain tolerance may have gone down. Also, in the past, other technicians would place some tissue paper on your eyes before they used the harsh lights (before extractions) but she didn't so the lights were kinda bright. She pokes the skin and uses the pimple extraction tools to squeeze it out, but it was so painful. I had to squeeze my eyes shut really hard and grimace. I also want to note that since it's been a while since I''ve had a facial, my face was a little bit more congested with blackheads and whiteheads. When coming back home, my face didn't feel as smooth (as it normally does after a facial) ..some of the pimples that were touched were not extracted completely and still had white pus the days after. Parking: There are a few parking spots in the back and street parking in the front by Las Tunas. But I found the easiest parking for me was just parking on Alabama Street near the store. Customer Service: Tina is very welcoming. She opened the door immediately when I arrived and knocked. She was also really responsive through text message. She was nice throughout the appt by providing me with a sneak peak of other services/machines that she provides regular customers. However, one thing to be aware of is that she is a little pushy. I understand that acne facials are not a one time cure all but at the end of the appt/facial, she was really trying hard to sell me to buy an extra package, which comes out to be $300 for 5x for 90 min each ..which honestly, is a very good price..but I wasn't ready to commit and feel iffy about purchasing facial packages now (after doin that in the past precovid and the place shut down during covid). All in all, I'm not really sure about this place. I felt like my facial was decent and may come back but I think I'm still on the hunt to find the best place for me. read more

I brought my son here for an acne facial after trying every over the counter product! Tina did such an amazing job and helped his face clear up, I bought a dozen more 90 minute facials and brought the whole family in to receive facials from her! My kids are all teenagers and have had breakouts of various levels and she has helped each of them! This is the place to come to for all your skin concerns! ! I have acne issues, and they really dug in there to get it out, and the microdermabrasion helped my scars. It looked more fresh afterward. She also offered a package deal that is cheaper than where I normally go (300 for 5 vs the 90-100 something for individual sessions at the other place) so I am going to continue with them a bit more to hopefully reduce my acne and scars. read more
