Jim (owner who rocks) spent all day working on my car and did an AMAZING job. when i was driving home, i friggin' noticed that he even cleaned the vents! seriously. i've had my car cleaned a lot by other folks and Jim is so far the best. How this works is you make an appointment with Jim and then you drop off your car and pick it up later in the day. (he takes checks and cash). The car you pick up will be nothing like what you dropped off. you will try and look for missed spots and find nothing. Jim cleans where you completely forget or don't think of cleaning. this is worth the wait! i promise you. to boot, the owner is awesome. he is really nice, conscientious about his work, a perfectionist, and a great artist :) I decided to spend some $$ to get my car cleaned so i could sell it, but now that it feels like a new car, i think i'm going to keep it a little bit longer. I apologized to Jim when I brought my car in... because it was in a wretched state. Cigarette ash everywhere, random sticky gunk from things left to melt in the summer, scuffs galore from moving, and assorted hairs and dirt from camping with dogs. He indeed took the entire day - as other reviewers have mentioned, it takes him about a full day to work on one car - and it was totally worth it! When we inherited a very dirty 2010 Toyota Corolla our first stop was Perfection Auto Detailing. We paid extra to have the headlights of our older truck refurbished and it made a huge difference: the headlights are much brighter at night. I had not realized how dim they had gotten over the years. The leather in our 2005 sedan, much battered by our kids, looks factory new. So, I took my black '13 Civic Si to Jim a few months ago, around January if I recall. It was a display car for Honda sponsored events and would get constantly "detailed"....horribly. I got it off a Honda Dealership; the paint FULL of swirls/cobwebs. It would make you cringe. At night, under a light, or under sunlight, you had to FIND the black paint under the layer of swirls that gave it an almost light gray tint. Took it to Jim after looking through Yelp at the highest rated detailers. I made a great choice. Took it to him at 8am and said he'd be done around 5pm, that it was an all-day job. (Which was true, I spied on him a bit to make sure it wasn't just for show. This man was committed! Haha!) Handed him my key and crossed my fingers that the results would blow my mind. I came back at 6pm and there she was. Glossy. Wet looking. BLACK. Of course I had to give him a tip out of great appreciation. He even took off the stupid dealership emblem I asked him to remove from the trunk, and detailed every door jamb. That night, I still saw a COUPLE stray swirls. But that was just the first-black-new-car, part of my brain, over-analyzing the paint job on a $25k Honda. It's not like it was a super car or a show car or something... Few weeks later, I see a black Mercedes SLS, with atrocious swirls. It was pretty disgusting. Not anywhere close to how my car USED to look, but still way off from being as clean as how it looks now. Every black car I see, I compare with mine. I was, and still am obsessing. There's been no comparison yet. Owning/maintaining black paint will drive you crazy. I've never reviewed anything or anyone in my life so for me to do it now should speak volumes about Jim and his business. I found Perfection Auto Detailing from Google and Yelp, and decided to give Perfection Auto Detailing a try after reading the awesome reviews that Jim already received here. I called Perfection Auto Detail after hours with an obvious no pickup but within a short while I got a call back from him. Told him about my wife's Equinox that we are going to trade in, and that we needed it to look nice when we traded it in. The Equinox's exterior looked bad- micro scratches everywhere and it looked literally like someone wiped it down with fine grade sandpaper in places. Well, the wife and I met Jim and were pleased with his professional manner, extensive knowledge on paint finish correction, and his genuine willingness to help us make it look better. When we picked up the Equinox I was almost amazed beyond words. It literally looked like a new SUV. I have never seen it look that good even after we bought it new in 2011. Exterior, Interior and everything in between looked liked it rolled off the factory floor. I have never seen such an excellent job. I read on Google that pet hair is extremely difficult to remove from a car, so, I tried to find someone who could deal with pet hair. I found Jim after looking at the Yelp reviews online about how he can remove pet hair. I'm glad I trusted those reviews. I took the car to Jim and he meticulously removed the pet hair. The car looked like it was new! He took it out from every crevice and the pet hair was gone. Fantastic service!! Brought in my nearly-20-year-old vehicle to get detailed and Jim is a miracle worker. Seats look fantastic; dash looks factory-new; amazing attention to detail. He really cleans every spot you'd never even think to look! Also - he's an old-school, hard worker. After working on the car for the majority of the day (I was supposed to pick up at 5PM) he called and asked if he could keep it overnight because HE wasn't happy with how some areas had turned out and wanted to do a better job. This place is amazing. Jim does one car a day because he focuses on detail. Yeah it takes time to get in but it is well worth it. My car was disgusting, there was dog hair, dirt, food crumbs in every nook and cranny. Various spills on the seats and everywhere else you can think of. Jim does your car like you would do it. He's meticulous and stubborn about getting every little speck of dirt. He got every nook and cranny. I lent my daughter my car for two years, and it was awful. Really. Jim only does one vehicle a day because he got everything there is to get. Some of the oil based stains would not come out of the bench seat, but Jim went over them a least a dozen times, and it came out much improved. The truck looks new. I wish I had before pictures. It was worth every penny. It cost a little more because of the dog hair, but Jim texted me throughout the day and let me know what was going on. After taking the booster seats out of the back of the car, and seeing the crusty mess left behind, I needed to get my Prius detailed. I decided to check Yelp for someplace that could do a really thorough job, and found Perfection. I knew there was no way my car was every going to be showroom clean again - between the kids and my somewhat alarming tendency to spill any liquid that gets within 3 feet of me, I had given my upholstery up for lost. I dropped my car off in the morning, and picked up it after work. He had cleaned parts of my car I didn't know exist. The marjority of the stains were gone from the backseat (blue icee bows to no man or beast, it seems). Absolutely everything was clean and fresh. My car is so clean that it's inspired the sort of standard of expected behavior you find in new cars - wipe your feet and wash your hands before you get in kind of stuff. With the exception of the day I bought my car from the dealership with a whopping 54 miles on the odometer, my car has never been this clean! AMAZING! Jim is incredibly nice and does a thorough job cleaning your car. As he says "it takes all day to do the job right." It does and it is well worth the wait. The last time I took my car to be detailed it was at a place next to RunTex near South 1st. They did a good job but all the pesky dog hairs were still in the little grooves between the seats and it drove me crazy but at least the rest of the car was clean. Well Jim spent hours but he got rid of those pesky dog hairs!! AMAZING! My husband looked up the Yelp reviews before suggesting I go see him and even though it only says there are 13 - you need to click on the link for the "unrecommended" reviews because they should be recommended.
