I ended up with amazing manicure and pedicure service by owner, MARY. I am male and very picky let someone touch my nails. Mary changed my perception about the service. I found this place on a whim based on the reviews. And, to be fair, the nail technicians at the other stations seemed like they were doing great work judging from the customers smiles as they paid and left. Just insist that the lone guy at this shop does not do your pedicure. He acts like he hates his job, does a pathetic job with the massage part, and got polish all over my sandal without mentioning that he painted my sandal on accident (I didn't notice until I got home). Plus he somehow make me jerk twice in pain, which has never happened before. This place was fantastic. I came in on a Saturday morning, around 12:00, and they were so attentive. They were friendly, helpful in my choosing out a color, and overall I enjoyed my time there. I read reviews that they show soap operas on the tv, although when I was in, the Storm game was on (I'm not sure who they were playing). I talked a bit with one of the women there who moved from Vietnam; she's very sweet and kind. Also, they have nice massage chairs. $25 for a gel manicure? yes please. I don't know where I haven't came here sooner. this place is ITTY BITTY TINY but they are able to fit quite a bit in there. If you don't mind cramped space this place will be fine for you. They did a great job and it lasted 2.5 weeks for me (considering I was playing in the sand for a few days and salt water, I think that's pretty good) and i'm quite rough on my nails. they were very friendly and didn't have to wait long if you make an appointment. Decided I needed a pamper day... my coworker has never had a mani before and he was complaining about his cuticles.... perfect candidate to drag along with me! We went after work and yes this place was tiny but it was tidy. There were two lady and a man who worked there. I had the gentleman work on my nails and I can not stop raving about it. Since I'm very indecisive, he helped me choose my colors... very generous man, he painted his own nails to show me the end result. I did the gel mani which was $25. I was so so so so SO pleased with my nails. I think they were the best mani I've ever gotten. Too bad I'm from Houston so i can't go to them regularly. My nails did last for over 2 weeks and they still looked great! My coworker also go a "man"-i and his cuticles were cleaned and he couldn't stop raving about them too. He's from San Jose and he updated me that he went to take his gf to get a mani and it wasn't as good as the one I got from here. I recently moved from Las Vegas a few months and have been searching for a good nail salon. I've tried about 5 different salons in the Seattle/Bellevue area and haven't found a good one yet. Based on the positive reviews on yelp I decided to give Perfection Nails a try. I went in for a pedicure and a gel manicure. The pedicure was amazing...probably one of the best I had! The massage and hot stone was the best part! I didn't get the gentleman's name that did the pedi but he was awesome! For my gel mani I had Mai and she was great!! I'm really picky on how they do the polish, like if it's streaky, uneven or messy around the cuticles. Mai did such a good job and really took her time! I was impressed! I chose to skip my usual so-so nail salon because I was looking for a slightly better service and this salon has good ratings on Yelp. Big mistake, huge. As the reviews recommend, I scheduled an appointment. 4:15 on a Tuesday. I was seated into the chair on time for my pedicure, however I silently waited for 40 mins for anyone to attend to me. During my service I noticed that my nail artist had started painting my toes before giving my feet a massage so I asked the only woman who appeared to speak English if a massage came with the service to which she replied, "Yes, we massage." After the polish, the woman tried to usher me out of my chair without my shoes on so I inquired again about the massage. She told me, "No extra massage for you. Take too much time." We then went into an annoyingly lengthy dialogue about how I was not asking for an extra massage just the little on that comes with the service. And she was explaining that they had other appointments. I also had an appointment and wanted the same massage the woman next to me was receiving. Nothing extra. Just the regular $20 pedicure. In the end, I never got my massage. They said to come back next week. :/ The place is so small that pretty much the entire 6 customers and 3 nail artists in the room had to be included in the conversation. And from what I gathered, if you are a regular customer you will receive good service but you have to be firm with them about what you want and what time you need to be finished. People came after me, and left before me while I sat and sat and received less. According to the regulars, overbooking has been going on for at least a year. Toward the end of the visit, the tone toward me was very rude and hostile and uncomfortable and embarrassing. They even tried to charge me $25 when the posted rate is $20. So watch out first timers. Better yet just keep on walking. Anywhere would be better than here. read more

While visiting Seattle last week my feet were killing me from all the walking. I NEEDED a pedi. This place was two blocks from where we were staying and just what I needed. The people working there are super sweet and I walked in no problem with out an appointment. It is really small, and cute. Clean and relaxing. The best part... hot stones and it was only $20. In MN most pedis at a similar place are at least $25-30. I would be a regular if I lived in Seattle. read more

As far as quality service and price... This is my favorite nail salon. A lot of places these days don't have OPI gel polish but perfection nails does. My last gel manicure has lasted me 3 full weeks. This is the best nail salon I've been to in Seattle. Admittedly, this is a very small salon (normally only 2 people working), so if you don't call ahead, you may have a 20-30 minute wait. That said, the service and quality of their mani-pedis is incomparable. My mani-pedis always last longer when I get them done at Perfection Nails, whereas I find that other places result in chipping within just days. This is now my regular nail place (and brow wax too). It's small, unpretentious and I can just about always walk in and get my maintenance done without an appointment and always without attitude. They are just a few blocks from work, she does a great job for a reasonable price, quickly with low stress, low hassle. That's what I need. Recently I've begun having her do my brow wax too. I think they are one of the best "budget" nail salon I have gone to in town. This is a very small business that delivers quality work with decent pricing. I think they have pretty good selection of regular polishes and gel polishes. They take walk-in customers but I recommend making appointment. Don't be surprised if they tell you that they don't have time today. They often are booked specially after 5pm ish. My friend introduced me to this salon. It's her go-to. I usually get shellac done when I'm here. They do a great job. I once got acrylics and it was pretty decent but when I tried coming back to get them done again, I was told there was only one tech that worked with acrylics. So the rest arent experienced, during the removal of my old acyrlics, it was pretty painful honestly and I could tell he was struggling. I wish he would've soaked them first or something. He commented on how "this is why you shouldn't get acrylics" which I thought was a bit unneccessary because some people love acrylics and others love shellac. I was in town for the weekend and needed a manicure because I had a party I was attending on Friday night. I searched Yelp for a nail salon I could walk to (I was staying at the Westin Hotel) and decided to come here. I am so glad I did! I called and asked if I could get a manicure within the next 30 minutes and they had no problem with it. I showed up and was seated right away. I had to wait a few minutes for the manicurist to be finished with their client before me - but that's ok... I was in no rush. While they are decent nail technicians, their business practices are borderline unethical, non-compliant with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and unacceptable. As a registered business of the state, they do NOT honor their posted business "Hours Of Operation". They routinely close the shop on days supposedly open. Each time I've gone they have consistently turned clients away 1hr to 40-45 minutes before scheduled to close. This is an awesome nail salon, much exceeded my expectation. The staffs are very friendly, gentle and efficient, while being not pushy or do things in a rush at all. They seem to have a very good procedure for manicure and pedicure, e.g. warm stone and towel were used. The massage chair is awesome too. Like many of the posts before, this salon is definitely a hidden gem of downtown Seattle. I think prices are in line with similar salons but the attention to detail is beyond other shops. Mary is the sweetest technician and when I showed photos and talked in detail about how I wanted my acrylics to look a natural as possible she was receptive and engaged in questions, instead of shrugging off my plea for 'natural acrylics' like most other salons do. Their equipment is also extremely dirty, after watching them 'wash' the tools, I can never come back for fear of infection. Place is good for manicures; pedicures- not so much. They don't seem to understand that pedicures involve scrubbing of feet, and proper handling of toenails and correct removal of cuticles and dead skin around toenails. Hot stones won't make up for a pedicure that is basically just putting polish on. Also, not once have my toenails been cut or filed in a uniform, or nice fashion- the toenails are too round mixed with ones that look diagonal and funny etc. Nam is a bit of a bait and switcher; he also blatantly sulks and acts upset if you go from gel manicures to requesting regular manicures; he acts like you are not worth his time and that somehow you've personally offended him. He IS husband to owner- so don't think he's just an employee. Owner seemed nice, but inexplicably after a few visits, ( maybe because I decided no more gel ?), She began acting like a dragon lady to me in a funny way. I say goodbye, thank you , she ignores me. ? ( so long initial friendliness, lol.) So- manicures, good here- pedicures- you almost have to beg them to take care of your feet!
