Placed an online order and waited in the store for about 20 minutes while staff called out other customers' names. Two signs directed customers to a designated pickup area, but my order was not there. When I asked about it, the owner located the completed order and repeatedly said it had already been made and that I needed to take it, stating it was my responsibility to ask for it despite the pickup signage and the fact that other orders were being called out. I heard good things about Perfecto's so instead of Bagel World, I checked them out next door! I think the interior and overall vibe of Perfecto's is much more warm and approachable. I think their bagels are decent! For whatever reason, I tend to gravitate towards their sweeter bagels here. It's good for what it is, but nothing too special. read more

The issues are the muffins taste freezer burned, its expensive vs. the quality, they show you how much more you pay by paying by credit card (they think they are giving a cash discount), and of course the tip machine. Popped into here for some coffees and snacks. My friends tried their snickerdoodle iced coffee and the cinnamon toast crunch iced coffee. We also split a carrot cake muffin with a healthy serving of cream cheese frosting on top. I liked the cinnamon toast crunch version more since the flavors were more prominent but this is also from someone who rarely even drinks coffee. Muffin was soft and tasted fresh. I ordered this via DoorDash and I was extremely happy! I got the large Twix iced coffee with almond milk and Samoa flavoring... Soo good and not overly sweet. One of the workers was nice enough to go over their coffee options, because some of their coffee beans have extracts in them and aren't flavor swirls like other places (like the Twix coffee, the coffee beans were infused with Twix flavoring). I also got a jalapeño bagel with their jalapeño cream cheese and FINALLY found a place that uses real jalepenos that have some spice to it and not that nasty jarred/pickled one. It has a slight kick which made it that much better. I went in person the next morning and there's decent amount of parking, and service was quick and friendly. read more

This café is awesome! I stopped here for the first time after a gym class this morning and I was super impressed. They have a wide selection of flavored coffees, and it's a flavored being y'all! I had a difficult time deciding which flavor to get because the list was so expensive! That's an amazing problem to have lol. They do have a smaller parking lot but I was able to get a spot. The staff was decently friendly. I will definitely be visiting this location again. I meandered into Perfectos after showing up to Bagel World and realizing the line was way too long. I now feel silly that I didn't just go to Perfectos first. All the food is fresh, fast, and delicious. I got a peanut butter Oreo coffee that is one of the best coffees I've had in a long time. The girls that work behind the counter are incredibly friendly and go above and beyond. The coffee flavors are unique and delicious. (Seriously, they have like 50 coffee flavors!) I ordered a turkey bacon, egg and cheese on a French toast bagel and it was YUMMY! Fresh eggs, fresh bacon, fresh bagel. I truly cannot wait to return to Perfectos! It was my first time here and I am in love with their cake batter coffee! It wasn't too sweet but just "Perfecto!" I also had their turkey club on a whole wheat spinach and garlic bagel. That bagel left me speechless. It was very fresh and soft! The flavor was on point. Overall experience, plenty of parking, very clean and very friendly staffs. Food and drink was great. The coffee sucks. The service sucks. The seats are uncomfortable. They put entirely too much egg on their sandwiches and not enough meat. Update-- from the owner's reply it's clear that I'm the problem. I'm not quite sure how being upset by poor customer service could somehow ripple backward through time and be the ultimate cause of the poor service in the first place!! Sounds rather new-age to me. I normally give a place two years to get their act together before I'll go back figuring one bad employee will have moved on by then but it's clear this fish rots from the head. Poor service has a tremendous magnifying effect on other elements of the dining experience that one might otherwise find merely annoying. Charity covereth a multitude of sins. Had Perfecto's instilled a culture of accountability I may have simply ordered a different flavor of coffee the next time. Or perhaps skipped the sandwich and tried a pastry. We went in for an iced coffee with 4cream, 3 splenda and 3 shots of vanilla. My girlfriend did not like the drink as it was way too strong and I tasted it and it was steong and awful. She usuallt gets 5 cream and even lowered it this time. So I went in and she asked me to change the flavor to hazelnut this time so I did. I asked them to remake it with 4 cream, 3 Splenda and 3 shots of hazelnut but. The one lady was making it as the other was talking to me and telling the other what to do. I told her it was too strong and she asked for 4 cream. She goes "that's the issue, it's too strong because she put 4 cream in" so I said, no that's not the issue because it's how she likes it you made it wrong. So now she's mad because I called her out and she said to the lady making it she wanted the regular coffee with no flavor and I go, no, she asked for hazelnut this time. And the rude lady again says " that's the issue. She doesn't know what she wants and got a french vanilla last time". I got in the car and told her how rude the ey we're and what she said and my gf said that she disnt get a french vanilla, that's the flavor of the coffee itself, she got a regular coffee with vanilla shots. So now she has a very okay coffee with a bad mood. And I'm fairly angry with them aswell. read more

Wow. We came here randomly on our way to REI and now I'm going to have to add this to my list of local cafes. The bagels were top-notch, and the service was great. We got custom "omelette" sandwiches which were made exactly as requested, and tasted delicious. I only wish they had hot sauce to make the dish complete! SO many coffee flavors - I got peanut butter and was not disappointed. Much better than places that just add syrups, their flavors were in the coffee themselves. I have never given 1 star on yelp before. I understand places can have off days, but I am just so disappointed. Recap- I picked up my order - drove to my destination and picked my muffin out of the bag. This is/ was my second time there and saw on my first trip that they sell gingerbread muffins. You know -the ones where they take the cap off and stuff it with cream cheese frosting. Well upon taking it out of the bag I notice something sticking out- a brissle? It looked translucent and upon further investigation pulling it out of the cake- I saw a hair follicle. Yuck! I called to give a heads up about the hairy situation. The young lady who answered the phone was surprised and immediately asked "do you want the manager I am going to get the manger. " The manger came on and asked if I "came here often" uhhh ? No this is my second time here ... I mean.... I just noticed it the other day when I was in line at Starbucks. he told me he "didn't think there was anything he could do about it right now and sometimes these things happen." Wait what? How about this should have never happened? I asked him to check the rest of the muffins- telling him what kind I had got and he said he would look into it. I mean at least an offer to replace my hairy muffin ( which I would have politely declined as repacking up the infant and driving back to reading is not worth the 3 dollars I spent) would have been nice. While I have no plan to return- my advice to you is double check your muffins. Maybe before you leave, as once your gone they don't care. Cause you know, sometimes these things happen. read more

The employees park in front of my house all day on Avon St. This is a busy cut-through street and two way traffic is jammed in front of my house because it's a narrow street. My neighbors across the street can't pull out of their driveway in the morning. There are cigarette butts, take out wrappers and empty soda cups on the side of the road when they leave. I understand my gripe is with the town for permitting a business that doesn't have enough parking for both customers and employees. We are trying to work that out with Reading. But in the meantime, it's a public safety hazard and a community nuisance that management of the cafe has no interest in hearing about. read more

First visit was less than exciting. I've had perfectos in Andover and in NH before and love their coffee. The coffee in Reading met that expectation, the quality was not the issue. The price and amount of ice:coffee ratio, was. For nearly $3 for a medium iced coffee that is not even the size of a "normal" medium AND packed so full of ice that you cannot fit a straw through is not acceptable. I'm already paying more for less and to pack it full of ice really pisses me off. I enjoy more than 3 ounces of coffee. Another thing to mention is their prices across the board are much higher than the other shops in the area. I haven't had their food yet but based on the way they cheap out with the amount of coffee you get, I tend to believe the other reviewer who said they had nearly all lettuce in their 2 wraps for $18. Come on guys, we were all dying for you to open and now you're totally disappointing us!! Please stop being stingy with the coffee, especially for the prices. read more

I came in last Friday for the first time. Then on Saturday and again on Sunday. I may need a coffee intervention. The coffees are amazing! I can't wait to go back and get another. The chocolate muffin is fresh and delicious and the Nutella-filled croissant is my new addiction. I also have to mention that everyone who was working on all three days was friendly and helpful. As a coffee snob, I can't get behind the coffee here. If you have a ton of flavor additions on your menu, it means your coffee is weak, in my humble opinion. This franchise got me again. I don't know if I've ever been truly pleased with their coffee. This one is newly opened so I had to give it a try. Usually, their breakfast sandwiches are good so it makes up for the coffee never tasting like the advertised flavor. I went with banana caramel coffee. Tasted nothing like either of those things. They were out of the other one I wanted to try so I went with cookie dough. Vaguely like cookie dough and I'm being generous. The real loser though was the breakfast sandwich. Not a fan of fake eggs being microwaved as it is and this was steaming hot and just gross. The egg was awful. The bagel hadn't even been toasted. We had heard lots of good things about Perfecto's and were excited for the new Reading location to open. We went a week after opening and weren't disappointed. They by far have the best flavored iced tea anywhere!! I don't drink coffee but my boyfriend loves the variety of dark roasts they offer. The bagels and cream cheese are amazing. They have a lot of good choices to pick from but my personal favorite is the focaccia bagel with bacon & scallion cream cheese. The muffins and breakfast warps are super yummy too! The staff are all very friendly and the caffe is bright and clean. The prices are much more reasonable than the place across the street. The only down side is the small parking lot. We have attempted to go a few times in the morning on weekends and couldn't even get into the parking lot. However, I highly recommend giving them a try. You won't be disappointed!! read more

I have been here a few times now . But the last time i was in thought I'd try a bagel. I got a everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. The cream cheese was sooo bad there was large chunks of the veggies red onions ect the worst veggie cream cheese . I threw bagel out. I love that they brew flavor in the bean instead of syrup. Crazy how many flavors they have considering! I can never decide which coffee to try. I have never had a bad interaction with an employee here- I see the same ones on weekends and weekdays and they have always contributed to the friendly atmosphere. I decided to give it another chance based solely on the great food served here but the workers have a terrible attitude and talk down to their customers. Some of the worst service I have ever had! Will not come back ever again. The lady with the accent is absolutely terrible and makes faces if you ask her questions about the menu. And the older woman gives you an attitude while ordering.
