The work they did was fine but I just called to get some minor repairs done and I was told by the woman that answered the phone that the company was sold. The owner had some unexpected health problems and he sold off all the equipment and shut the doors. None of the workers came back and the company is shuttered forever. So, they won't be honoring any warranty work. read more

Buyer beware ! Quick to take a deposit. Once the work was done it was rushed and shoddy. They didn't properly compact the gravel base in my driveway repair which eventually caused a pothole. Six weeks of unreturned phone calls later, they obviously do not stand behind their warranty. read more

My husband called with a question about the estimate given and to get our work started and the girl responded with the fact the guy who gave us the estimate no longer works there and did not add the things we specified with him on the estimate then hung up on him. Update 12-7-16 Met with Larry the owner and Jason of performance paving. Opinions still differ, but to their credit, a solution and offer to make it right was done. Said he was owners son, then stepson and my "poppy" doesn't remember things well, when I stated what I and Larry ( the owner discussed) he's not his son. The work was terrible. I have a ridge where water comes up and through the driveway and it's on a down hill slope. Salesman Jason never called or came for the appointment. Made the deal with the owner once I got ahold of him, after trying to get Jason to return the call. Fist time I see Jason, the salesman, is the day of the job, he wants another 1800.00 to make the foundation right or the work stops. Or do, but no warranty. We agreed on another 1000.00 and it would be warranted. He did it after the drive was torn up. So how is this leaking and a ridge forming already if the base was done correct. Also it was to drain away from the house in back and be smooth and no seams etc. well look at the photos attached, terrible. Two emails, photos to the company and to owners cell. No retuned calls in over a week.. I reached him by cell today and was told to F off ! Really, just asking to discuss and correct and I can't get a single call back. Then told to F off and he hangs up when I catch him by cell. Run from this company as fast as you can. Do not do business with this company. Signed a contract last year in 2021 to do seal coating this May 2022, after they installed a new driveway in 2021. They haven't came out yet or responded to emails. On June 10, Performance Paving re-paved our front driveway. While talking to the foreman outside, he and I witnessed one of their dump trucks hit and damage a neighbor's mailbox. The foreman indicated that the company would pay to replace the mailbox as "it happens all the time." After numerous emails, phone calls, letters and personal visits by me, my husband and the neighbors, they have refused to pay. I would not use this company. read more

First of all our driveway LOOKS great. But when we specifically asked jason to pitch the driveway so water doesn't run toward our garage or property he said ok. Well guess what? My entrance to my yard and my garage are a big flooded mess..Thanks for taking our $ and NOT doing the job you said you would do.Why wasn't it graded correctly?Because the ground was too hard! wtf!! Called in today to try and get a quote and an old lady answered the phone. She was very short and RUDE. She would net give any feedback on pricing or how they quote their jobs. I was simply calling to set up a time for a quote and the lady told me to call elsewhere and to not waist her and her companys time. I need a curb cut and a whole new driveway put in. The work and price were good but I only gave it a two star because Jason has such poor communication skills including yrlling, lying, promising (false), belittling. I agree w the previous writer about Jason. On the other hand, like I said, the work was good. So if you want to put up w terrible salesman to save some bucks, this company is good for you. Greetings. I hired Performance Paving to repave my driveway. My driveway was in terrible shape!! Larry, the owner of Performance Paving, came out to my property and introduced himself, his company and explained their services to me. I was impressed! He gave me a quote and told me that after I secured the permit, that they would start the job. After Larry left, I ran into a neighbor who told me that Larry and Performance Paving also did his driveway. He was very happy w Performance Paving and the job that they did. I was glad that I ran into my neighbor! I have a biggg, horseshoe driveway and Larry and his company went to work. It took almost 1 full day to strip the asphalt and to prepare the base surface for the new asphalt. Once the weather cooperated, the new asphalt went down and the Performance team took lots of time to do it right. They hand-pounded the sides, too. After they were finished w the job, the results were outstanding. I have the nicest driveway in the neighborhood. It is really gorgeous!! Last week I called Performance Paving and talked to Jason about needing my driveway completely taken out and replaced, widened, curb cut. Jason promised we would have a new driveway before my daughters wedding this week. I was so surprised when they showed up this Monday and it was all finished in the same day. our new driveway looks amazing and makes our house look new again. Customer service was fantastic! From Jason, to Mark and his crew, what a fantastic experience. Of all the paving contractors I had come out to give me an estimate, I couldn't be more happier going with Performance Paving. Total tear out of my old driveway and a new one installed, which looks fantastic. They were out at the house on the date and time I picked and were right on time. While they were doing the driveway a neighbor came over and hired them on the spot, "because I do all the hard work of finding a great contractor" which I do. After taking our deposit....Customer Service is horrible from the office personnel to Jason himself. Left multiple messages asking for a return call and to understand where we were at on the schedule. No response. Then they just show up and rip the driveway up with our vehicles still in the garage. Jason's response was..."huh". Took several days before they returned to replace the driveway, ran short of material, and completed the end of my driveway with cold patch in a bag that one of them went to purchase from Home Depot. Are you kidding me. When Jason was asked if he would accept this at his house, he stated, "Yes I Would, now pay me the balance or we'll sue". Terrible customer service. Jason is absolutely appalling. They ripped up our driveway, blocked it off and left without paving it leaving us without parking for several days. Then he lied and said he told my boyfriend the paving would be done Monday. Actually, the two words he said to him were rude. He also lied and said "he works for the city", um no you work for Performance Paving so take responsibility for your terrible service. Now I have a torn up driveway that looks worse than before. Furthermore, Jason choose to HANG UP on me when I called followed by sending me a text message saying to never call again. Fine, I'll take my complaints public. If you run a business and leave someone's driveway in this condition without explanation don't be surprised when they complain. Communication skills are poor or non-existent. I recently needed a driveway addition and seal coating which took forever to schedule because of the weather, work load, return phone calls, etc... It seemed like a fair price so I agreed. The workers on the 20x20 driveway addition did a good job and I was satisfied. I was not so fortunate with the seal coating job. They came Wednesday 9/17/14 when I was out of town and did not trim the grass from the edge or remove the dirt where flower planters had been. I paid in full for hot tar crack filling which was itemized on the estimate but not provided. Once I realized this I called the office 9/22, 9/23 & again 9/26/14. Two different women who answered my calls said they would "have someone call me", which must be code for "we have your money & don't care now so leave us alone". I'm a patient man but I feel taken advantage of by this company and thought I should warn you too. How do I get these clowns to honor the signed agreement?? read more

We used Performance Paving for a complete redo of our driveway. Jason was great to work with - he and our landscaping contractor worked together to make sure the job was done just right. We had water drainage issues and they were addressed. The crew was careful with our plants and our neighbor's driveway, as well. I highly recommend them. read more
