This feels like a family owned kind of spot. The guy gives good deals and is always willing to help and never seems like he's overcharging you. Recently when I had a screw stuck in my tire, I called a number of places closer to me, and they all told me to come in a few hours, or drop it and come back in a few hours. So I called Performance and he said to bring it right in and he had someone do it in less than five minutes right there in the driveway. I barely even had to get out of the car. And when he saw my wife in the car and recognized her as someone he'd sold tires to recently he told me not to pay. Discovered a screw in my tire as I pulled out of my driveway and quickly looked up tire replacement and repair spots nearby. Performance tire was less than a mile away and had great reviews so I decided to head over here for help. I pulled in and was immediately taken care of. They removed the screw and patched my tire in minutes and I was on my way. I wasn't even late for work! Only cost me $10 for the repair, but I didn't have cash on me at the time. They said " don't worry about it" and just asked that I return in the future for similar needs. Came here for two new tires. They checked pressure on all tires and notice one of my old tires has a nail on it. Hamlik offered to plugged for me without extra charge. But the nail is too close to corner so they had to remove the tire and attempt to patch. Just took an extra 30 minutes.. I tried to offer to pay him he refused. Drove up from OC today and got the dreaded tire pressure monitor light in LA near La Crescenta and Glendale. Pulled over on the side of the road and discovered the front right tire alerted that it was only 22PSI (standard Tesla is usually 42-45PSI I think?), but I knew that was really off considering the other 3 tires fell in the 40 range. Found Performance Tire Center from good old Yelp, and I gave them a quick call. The owner listened to me and said they're able to take a look since they're open today til 5:30. I pulled into their driveway of all the service bays and they acknowledged me right away, and took a look. My dad was with me and we just hung out in the shade while they did their thing. After taking the tire off and doing the tried and true bubble test, the world's tiniest pinhole sputtered, revealing what was likely a puncture at some point causing this slow leak. They advised me that it they're not able to plug it we might be in for a new tire. We waited only a few minutes more and to our delight, they were able to plug it! This was such a relief! If we hadn't made a pit stop at Performance Tire in Montrose, who knows what would've happened on a long commute home. It's hard to find genuine people nowadays so I am always grateful for authentic people who provide exceptional service with a smile. Hambik didn't even want to charge me for repairing my tire. My hubby has been taking our cars here for years for anything relating to tires. A few mornings ago he noticed my tire was almost flat and then we inspected it. There was a screw in it, but we were able to add air with the air compressor. I told him I would take my car to Performance Tire so he could get to work. I pulled in around 8:10 a.m. and I asked to see Hambik since I had never met him. I was on my merry way by 8:20 a.m. after they took the tire off and repaired it. I asked Hambik how much and he said "No charge" and that he would collect it from my husband. I said I had to pay him, so it was just $10. You can just tell he is a very honest business man and I would recommend him to anyone who needs tires or other work done. Tips: -They open at 8:00 a.m. so you can get in and out quickly if you arrive then. -They are in the second bay after the Acura repair business. - You can get out by driving west and around the end of the buildings. My wife's Model3 had a flat. It was parked in an underground garage so no tow truck could in there. I would have had to drive the car out, ruining the side walls and requiring to replace the whole tire. I decided to walk over to the hardware store to buy a tire pump which was 2.5 miles away. 1.5 miles into my trek, I happened upon this place. Explained what was happening. They lent me a compressed air canister. Didn't ask for a deposit or license or anything. Just trusted me to walk away with a piece of their equipment. Walked back, filled my tire and drove back to them. They patched the tire in 5 mins. Asked me for $10. And that's it. I got another screw in another car tire. While I was pondering, I asked him: "If this was your car, what would you do?" and he explained to me how he would go with the OEM parts which in the long run would be more cost effective. This is my third car within a nine month period, that I've brought my cars to Hambik for an alignment. At first I was skeptical, but after the first alignment, I was sold. I discovered Hambik to be very a humble, nice, honest person. He is a sweet, gentle soul. I don't know about the poor performance rating people putting down, he is easy to talk to and I am sure he would right or correct any problem. It's a family business and his daughter helps out. He is very busy, there are all kind of cars coming in and out. Best to make an appointment and I've seen him take people with emergency problems, but he will make sure you're taken care in timely manner. He's been in the business for over 18 years. On my first alignment, Hambik told me I needed to take care of the bushing first before getting an alignment. He even asked me if I had my own mechanic that can do the work. He didn't push to do the work. He could've have did the alignment and I would have ended spending more money to fixing the same problem. On the last alignment, I was surprised to hear him telling me I don't need an alignment. Someone else would've done the alignment and I wouldn't know better. I called in advance and spoke the the owner Hambik. I told him I had a nail in my tire and two little kids in my back seat. I was worried to say the least. He told me he'd get me in and out in 20 minutes and told me to come by. When I drove up, Hambik flagged me down and said he had been keeping an eye out for me. I appreciated his thoughtfulness. He waved hello to the kids in the back and made them laugh. He checked my tire and said it was a superficial nail in the tread. He pulled it out and checked for an air leak manually and also by the cars dashboard for notification of tire pressure change. 5 minutes later Hambik sent me home, no charge. In retrospect I probably should have tipped him. I did give him a hug??? I was amazed at Hambik's honesty in what can sometimes be a harsh world. Hambik forever has a loyal customer in me. I went to have my alignment and tire balance checked on a used car I just bought. Hambik was very honest and overly fair (to my advantage). They checked everything out for me and only found an air filter that needed changing. They showed it to me -- totally black with all kinds of junk in it. He explained the condition of the tires and said I didn't need an alignment. I also found out that they work on Hondas too.
