OVERALL Perkatory Coffee House is well worth it to exit the interstate for a coffee break! RATING BREAKDOWN Latte: 5 | Service: 5 | Ambiance: 4 | Price: 4 PARKING Free street parking is available out front. Just read the nearby signs. LOCATION/AMBIANCE This area of Trinidad, CO, was delightfully decorated for Christmas on 11/25/2023. It's not a far drive at all from Interestate 25. So I accidentally drove by it once. Circled around and noticed it was in the middle of the Galleria building. When I walked in there were definite Halloween and steampunk vibes with low lighting and skull decor. Very cool because that's what I dressed up as this year... a steampunker. While I was waiting for my drink, I inquired about the restroom. They do not have one there in the shop. It's a building restroom down the hall in which a key is required. It was very clean at about 9AM. THE DRINKS My caramel macchiato ($6.59 for a 20-oz.) was so rich and creamy. The best one I've probably ever had. I requested it with 2% cow milk. I giggled hard when they asked "Is it okay that this has 3 shots of espresso?" Well, espresso yeah! Their coffee is dervied from Spanish Peaks Coffee Roasters in Colorado Springs. LITTLE YELPER'S CLUB Did not see any kid's sizes anything. SERVICE The young ladies all welcomed me in very quickly and took extra care of my order. MY FAVORITE PART... The creaminess of my latte. The wood smiley face drink stopper. Nice touch. NOT SO FAVORITE PART... Having to use a key and go all the way down a long hallway to use the women's restroom. TIP They tout all locally-sourced items including their breakfast offerings plus they have a tea wall.

We were passing through and needed a cute coffee stop so we searched "coffee near me" and this was the first spot that popped up with decent reviews. I got an iced horchata latte (half sweet) and it was decent. The place was a bit difficult to find as it's in a building with other businesses and offices. But once you find it, it's cute inside. The baristas were friendly and helpful.

    Goodness I.

Great service on a busy Tuesday morning! Sandwich was FIRE. Coffee was great too. Hope to be back next time I'm in Colorado.

Food I didn't see in the case til after I ordered! Looks amazing!

Nothing bad to say! The ladies running the show the morning we went were quick, accurate, and kind! Food and coffee were both amazing! I ordered the dirty horchata on ice, bagel sandwich and breakfast burrito! They have food in a case that you can't see from the counter you order from. Be sure to check that out!

Fantastic coffee shop! We were on our way to Great Sand Dunes National Park and were in need of coffee/breakfast. While the Yelp reviews were wonderful, the name sold me. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches, which were freshly made and absolutely delicious. To drink, we ordered a medium oat milk latte and large peppermint mocha. Both were fantastic! Not only did the coffee have a lot of flavor on its own, but even our modifications were blended perfectly to taste everything. What a great coffee shop! We will definitely be stopping here again.

From perkatory website. Under a caption of baked goods. This gives the indication of fresh and tasty offerings

We were looking for a bakery and when we got there we saw savory offerings in the case but the sweet things were packaged. I had a cherry biscotti that was good. A bit disappointing as their yelp pics show enticing treats. Maybe because it's the weekend they were out of fresh sweet baked goods. I'm sure the coffees were great but since I didn't have any I can't respond to that. The service was great. Buying prepackaged baked goods from Washington state in New Mexico is weird In response to the owner I have attached from your website a pic of your bakery listing which is what drew us to your establishment. I don't think the bakery across the street was open last Sunday. And the packaged biscotti was good as was the other treat we ordered.

Stopped here again at the beginning of November 2021. Once again, the coffee, chocolate swirl banana bread, and service were all 5 star!

The barista was friendly and helped my friend out with several things. I felt the service was great to be honest. My buddy did feel the regulars were treated better, but I kinda think that's just how it is. I have my regular coffee spot in Texas and I feel like while they treat everyone great, I get special attention. So for me, no worries there. My buddy was impressed by their espresso, especially since it was "single source" or something like that. My friend is more into straight espresso, I'm more of a mocha type coffee drinker. I did think Perkatory coffee was slightly better, but honestly only slightly. If I lived there, I could see me bouncing between the two shops where as here, I only go to my local coffee shop.

A few years ago I sold my 1977 Swiss Cremina espresso machine, an original pull design. Since then, I make French Press, black, whole beans brought in from Nossa Coffee in Oregon. Being that the Cremina is long gone, sometimes I crave a really good whole milk latte, double shot. Mutiny delivered. As mentioned, delicious. Highly recommended for their quality of product and execution. Sorry, no pics. My bad. We were on the move.

Elk sausage, mushrooms, green chile, ooey gooey cheese, and oh my, my tastebuds came alive! The crust had just the right amount of crisp on the bottom, while the sauce had a delicious complimentary exchange with the ingredients. I ate way more than what I'd normally eat for lunch! Then to top that off, I was offered hot honey to finish off the crust that was absolutely fantabulous on it's own. This was the perfect way to complete an amazing pie! It was so good, that we ate the leftovers for dinner, and we were just as pleased, minus the great company that the restaurant offers with their local vibe and interest in your experience. Super cool folks! I also, out of curiosity, ordered a single slice with my go-to favorite... hamburger, pineapple, jalapeno, and extra cheese. It was tantalizing! On a hot Spring day, you can't go wrong with a cool drink and an amazing pie at the new Las Animas Pizza!

We were one of their first customers after they reopened! There is on-street parking in front of the restaurant, a shared parking lot "behind" the restaurant, and quite a bit of parking by the park a few blocks away. I had a cinnamon roll and a Stage Stop burrito and a sausage biscuit sandwich. I also had help! Hey! Yer eating the burrito before I took the photo! The burrito has the sausage gravy from the biscuits and gravy, but you can also get green chili on it. The biscuits are huge! Yay! There were 4 tables for dine in, but the food is packed to go. For their first day back, they are offering a free something for folks with a partially punched loyalty card. Surprise! It's also up for sale so someone who can afford it come save this business! I ordered a Strawberry Turnover and Vanilla Mountain Frost w/ Whipped Cream (frappé). The strawberry turnover was good, my only complaint is that only half it had a good amount of strawberries and cream cheese. The frappé tasted like straight coffee. I paid an extra $1 for whipped cream and I couldn't really tell it was there. I may not have set my expectations right when ordering it, but it was just okay. It's a very small shop, not a whole lot of room. Music is playing so it isn't deafening silence. There is plenty of seating outside, which is great when the weather permits it. The customer service was not very present. There was one person working the whole store so I'm not going to bash it with a lack of effort. Effort was certainly present, it's hard to run a place alone. But it took a long time for us to get our drinks. Side note: the lids on the freshly squeezed orange juice are truly loose (as the signage says) and it was spilling the whole drive back. Trust the sign
