Let's be real~ I understand supply chain issues, payroll, rent although they probably own the building, it's been here a long time, however it's flour, eggs and a pinch of a few other things for ten dollars. Wrong order, no substitutions, side order didn't arrive and it's a long wait for ketchup that never showed up.

My husband, my son and grandson went to have breakfast there this morning at about 10am. They ordered their food had to wait about a half hour to get their food. So at 10:45 am I told them, I'll meet them their, just order me two eggs, toast, When I got there the food for me was already on the table. Tried to get the waitress her attention I needed something to drink. After about 15 minutes i told my husband to go find her. When he did find he , he said can you bring the check and a glass of water. I will there in a minute, 15 minutes later she comes back with the check and the water. I said I don't need the water now. I needed the water when I was eating. Her respond was, you weren't here when I served your food and what got me pissed off was, she said she was BUSY! Really there was maybe 5 tables. Stop talking to workers etc. and take care of your customers. Now I no why I haven't been there in years. The service sucks! read more

Ordered BLT on whole wheat - got white My granddaughter ordered silver dollor pancakes when questioned we were told " don't think they make those anymore." They just recently pressure washed building and painted the building. I know this place was here in the 90s probably before that but it needed TLC really bad and The Breakfast 24/7 is Still Yummy!!! Poor or non existent service. Waited in line for a table with no one there to greet or acknowledge our presence for a while.Had to remind our waitress that was trying her best several times that we were still waiting for our order. One customer left because of no service.Two people waiting on an almost full house. This was the restaurant of choice that my Mom, Sister and I would use to get together for dinner every few weeks. The food and service got so bad that we have not been in almost a year. I ordered a hamburger for lunch one day when my Mom and I went there and was disgusted to find a wad of hair on it. we decided to try breakfast this morning and we were seated quickly and shortly after a waitress took our drink order. When she returned with our drinks she suggested some new breakfast items. We decided to try one of the new items and it was delicious. After eating she returned to ask if we wanted any dessert which we declined but she said the strawberr pie was going away soon so we ordered two pieces to go. Usually, when I go into Perkins The staff is always friendly. The food is always good, but this past time was not good the only concern that I had was I used the disability bathroom and there was no toilet paper and the paper towel dispenser was not working. I wouldn't of cared, but I had bowel movement, and I had no way to clean myself. If that wasn't bad enough when I told the staff they were very laissez-faire finally a man came out with toilet paper and supplies. and he goes. Oh, there's a woman in the bathroom I can't go in now. Only after the fact, there was a woman that came out of the kitchen. There was also a female waitress they couldn't have had them addresses this No one sent a woman into the bathroom. There was a disabled woman that went into the bathroom. She was using the disability stall. Also having a bowel movement. I ended up asking for the toilet paper so I could I went in and brought it to her. This is completely unacceptable. Those bathrooms should be checked first thing when the restaurant opens and also throughout the day it's one thing when you have to urinate and there's no toilet paper but this was completely different. I have cloth seats. I had to ask for a garbage bag so I could put it on my car seat so I would not soil my seat!! read more

Double charged. I ordered a Magnificent 7 with my bday coupon and my husband had 2 eggs bacon and whole wheat toast. They charged me for 2 mag 7's and proceeded to tell me it costs the same and refused to correct the amount charged. I find it highly unlikely that two eggs with toast and bacon is the same as the mag 7 being you get 3 pancakes 2 eggs bacon. NEVER AGAIN. Watch you bill carefully they obviously cheat. read more

The first Perkins opened in 1958 when Matt and Ivan Perkins opened the Perkins Pancake House in Cincinnati, Ohio. They franchised the restaurant in the 1960's. In 2011 Perkins went though bankruptcy forcing them to close many restaurants often without notice. Ever since then they have been struggling. I love Perkins. There aren't any near me so I equate them with a road trip. They serve hearty home style meals for a reasonable price. They also have a bakery case featured prominently when you walk into the restaurant. They are well known for their pies. After a day hiking I was dirty and hungry. I found this Perkins on the way home and decided to stop for dinner. I saw a lot of locals enjoying an early dinner and the median age looked to be around 70. That was perfect for me because the older generation knows where to find the good cheap food. For dinner I ordered the mini chicken pot combo that came with the meat pie, a salad, and a slice of the bakery pie. For dessert I chose the cherry pie. Everything was delicious and my meal with an iced tea and coffee came to $13. That's a value for you. Service was friendly and efficient. I would definitely visit this location again if I was in the area. read more

We have not been to Perkins an over a year and with good reason. Three times is row, bad service bad food... We took a chance this Sunday in hopes things have gotten better. They did not. We were seated quickly so that was good but that's where the good ended. Our food was not hot, the toast was warm floppy bread with a slight brushing of butter, my omelet was rubbery, chewy and not hot at all. Apparently double cheese means two slice of cheese on the top of the omelet not inside. I had specifically asked for the hash browns to be cooked on both sides and ask for extra crispy, they were kind of cooked on one side, and almost like raw shredded potatoes under the slightly browned top. My Wifes food was about the same, not hot, under cooked potatoes and floppy not toasted toast. I ate less than half of my food, there was plenty left on my plate but when the server came and I asked for the check, she did not offer any to go boxes, just scooped up the food and took it away. Not that I would have brought it home but at least ask or ask if something was wrong with the food. Nothing. Do not go here to dine. Bad service, bad food. How they are still in business is beyond me. read more

Several of us went there after an honor flight coming home from West Palm Beach on a Saturday morning early this was the worst breakfast I have ever eaten in my life. I went here recently with my BOGO coupon. I occasionally do coffee and dessert here, but decided to head in for some comfort food. I ordered one app, and I ordered three entrees. All of this added up to almost 70 dollars. The food, microwaved with cold spots. Menu said "real potatoes" it was definitely instant. They were cool too. Not much to take home. Wait was pretty slow, but the waiter was nice. To compare a different place, I got salad, garlic bread, two apps, and two entrees for the same price. Had enough for another 3-4 meals. We're going middle of the road for this review. My group of like 7-10 people go to Perkins every Monday night for what we call "Pie Day Monday" this past Monday was somewhat of a disaster. We love our waitress Ellen and she kinda got caught in the middle, the kitchen was a mess and the owner was no real help. The food took forever to come out and most of it was wrong or over cooked. Chicken was raw, wrong cheese on burgers and sad looking egg white omelettes. Don't even get me started on the price increases!! This place is getting out of control, almost $16 for a smokehouse double bacon burger? And then an upcharge for onion chips. I think I better start wearing my tuxedo when I go here. I think what bothered me the most was the owner couldn't care less, that regular customers were having such a bad experience. Will I go back maybe, we do like Ellen and some of the other wait staff. read more

Worst experience ever! We do not recommend going here if you want your food cooked. We're from out of town, visiting family who are locals to PSL. The moment we sat down there were nats flying around our table. Service was fine but the issue was the food. Both the French toast and pancakes were only cooked on one side. Asked to speak to manager who happens to also be the owner. She advised they flip them over once but when we showed her both, she refused to acknowledge that they weren't cooked. Offered me a muffin (really??) or another order but my husband was halfway thru his meal (an omelette with tiny pieces of ham and cheese sprinkled on top). Aren't they usually cooked inside the omelette? We were certainly not looking for a free meal but just an acknowledgment of what happened. That would've at least sat better with me. It's called customer service. When we checked out, she said that she mentioned something to the cook and I told her it's a little too late now for me isn't it. My brother-in-law mentioned he had stopped going there and now he remembers why. Extremely disappointing as we've never had a bad experience at any of the Perkins where we live. The place was very vintage and looked very homey. When I got to the table, I was greeted with a nice server. He got our stuff out pretty fast. The food was pretty good. Not the best food I've had, but it was good. My problem is that the floors were sticky. Also, one of my friends found a piece of hair in her food. Waitress was naive telling different things for delays to different tables, Said they are backlogged after coming back to get drink orders at other tables but still not bring anyone silverware during many trips back to the area. Told cashier mens room has no paper towels in either dispenser and the three ladies behind the counter had the look on their face like you told the kids they can't go out to play unless they clean their room I think their under new ownership. This was our first time at Perkins restaurant. But it won't be our last. Walking in you see a nicely planned area with the bakery in the front. The service was very good. Perkins has a huge menu. I have the steak and peppers. It was very good. Lots if steak tips with mushrooms and red peppers, on top of potatoes. Covered with a delicious gravy. My husband had a hamburger. He said it was cooked perfectly. He had a piece of key lime pie. Tart but delicious. We will definitely go back. Perkins is a good American restaurant which is clean, the food is decent and the service is good. Don't be afraid to try it. read more
