Went for lunch I was craving potato pancakes yummy appetizer and potato knish.. am I Jewish or Italian? Neither but I love their food! Excellence service I love the menu been eating at two jays in palm beach for 40 years sadly it closed down great deserts but hubby said no to coconut cake I'm pre diabetes but I was tempted gotta die of something besides clogged arteries from All the fried food I ate!!

Two sandwiches took 45 minutes and they were not busy. The food was over-cooked and we had to send the fries back because they tasted like they had been sitting under a warmer all day. $36 for two modest sandwiches. Asked for the check, got it after 10 minutes, then she never came to get the card. We were just really disappointed and will never go back.

We were so happy to find a TooJays locally. My husband and I came to the Stuart location which was closest to our home. The location was very clean especially the bathroom and the floors of the restaurant. The tables were immaculate no sticky stuff anywhere. My husband ordered the Shepherds pie which came out huge and the potatoes crispy and the plate hot which was a first for anywhere he has ever ordered it before. He truly enjoyed every morsel!!! Thinking he'd have leftovers forget that every bit was eaten. I chose a salad that came with 3 scoops of of my choice from chicken salad, tuna salad, egg salad and shrimp salad. I chose one scoop of tuna and 2 scoops of shrimp salad. And pickles. Great choices!!!!!! I had leftover but as soon as we got home I ate the rest as trip home was a bad rain storm and people drive crazy in the rain. Once home safe and sound I celebrated with my leftover and my son had his pastrami sandwich we brought him from the restaurant and he ate it in 3 minutes. A new record!!!! Yes we can't wait to return !!! BTW Tiffany our waitress was great friendly, extra helpful, and kind. Nothing I asked for was too much. Other staff was wonderful too guests getting up and walking to their cars. The caring and kindness I saw was amazing.

Corned beef sandwich, a menu mainstay, has fallen in quality. Now fatty and under cured. Will skip place in future.

We started out with a chocolate martini & a Whispering Angel Rose. Both were refreshing and very celebratory for my friends birthday. Since it was lunch, we went straight to entrees. My husband had the Strawberry Field salad with shrimp. Beautifully crisp and delicious. The shrimp were cooked perfectly even if the salad should have had less dressing. The birthday girl had the short rib grilled cheese which looked exactly like the pictures. She managed to eat the whole thing. I had the steamed clams. The presentation was totally unexpected. It had a pizza dough topper that was puffed up with the clams, linguica & broth nice and steamy underneath. It was an amazing preparation and the dough helped tame some of the spiciness from the linguica. We all said we would come back. I would give this restaurant a solid 4.5 stars as the refill of our water was a big sluggish. Since you cannot rate in 1/2 star increments, I gave it a 5.

It ended up being a great find! The restaurant is spacious with huge windows overlooking the water, which I absolutely loved. It was much too hot to sit outside, so we enjoyed the view from an inside table. We decided to split the steamed clams (without the sausage) and a lobster bisque for lunch. Our server, Sydney, was friendly, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. The clams were served inside a bread-like pastry. My husband especially enjoyed that part, while I skipped the bread and dug right into the clams--they were fresh and delicious. The lobster bisque was rich, flavorful, and just as good. One unexpected bit of entertainment came from the couple seated next to us. It sounded like they were on a first date, and while I certainly wasn't trying to eavesdrop, they were talking so loudly it was impossible not to overhear! They seemed to be having a wonderful time, and it added a lighthearted touch to our lunch. Hope springs eternal! Overall, I was very happy with both our meal and the beautiful waterfront setting. I'd definitely stop here again the next time we're passing through Stuart. The only thing that gave me pause was the dinner menu, which looked a bit pricey, but for lunch this was a very enjoyable stop. You don't need a reservation for lunch so that was a plus. Sometimes you just want to go with the flow, and that is just what we did!

If you're looking for real southern diner food, this is one of the best options in town. It can be busy, and there is sometimes a short wait. They do turn tables pretty fast so don't stress too much! The staff are friendly and the food is comforting. I got a half order of biscuits and gravy and a side of grits. Plenty of food, the grits are creamy and the sausage gravy tastes like home. My sister ordered eggs over easy, which came perfectly cooked and unbroken. She also gets her hash browns with extra onions and raves these are the best caramelized onions in town. Flamingo Diner is a great little spot, good homey food, for a reasonable price. Don't sleep on this hidden gem in your breakfast rotation!

The pork on the Cuban was cooked perfectly. Slow roasted, full of flavor, and not dry at all. You could taste the quality right away. The sandwich overall was a 10 out of 10. The fries were clearly made in house. They had a really cool texture, light, airy, almost fluffy. Hard to describe but different in a really good way and the flavor backed it up. Coleslaw was solid too. Light, refreshing, and had a nice slight sweetness that balanced everything out. The staff was great, friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. You can seat yourself anywhere for lunch under the big grass roof or under some accompanying umbrella tables. Servers came by quickly and were attentive to order details. Drink wise I got a classic Arnold Palmer for one visit, and a Virgin pina colada for the other. Both were good! I like my Arny P less sweet, and I love my pina coladas with a good amount of pineapple. For lunch the first time I got the Philly with the pineapple slaw, which is really something different compared to wherever else you can get a Philly. There wasn't a lot of slaw on my sandwich but it was just enough to brighten up the sandwich. The second time I got the chicken Philly, which has your classic fixings just with chicken instead. Fries on the side both times are delicious! Nice and crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. One standout memory I have is that my mom wanted a loaded fries that was more vegetable than meat which isn't on the menu. However, they were able to accommodate this and delivered very well to her liking! I remember when Philly Down South was just the food truck and a couple of umbrella tables. My mom says that every time she visits Philly Down South, it seems to get a little larger. I love the current grass hut ambiance that even features a stage for some live music! In my opinion, they should be the prime dining option at Stuart beach. Bathrooms for Philly Down South are really the Elliot Museum's, so make sure to bring proper coverups and footwear if you're coming from the beach. Can't wait to come again when I next visit Stuart!
