Great Service. Busy waiting list. An ambient feel. If you like that? That is the good old days "wait to get in" food must be excellent theory, yah? Mid-day lunchtime okay get it. What I don't understand is PRICE Gouging. Really? Two $10.79 breakfast skillets arrived in the tiniest plate ever seen in my life. Just as well be delivered in a soup cup. That is a concept; as the American society overeats. Deceptively make us cut back. Okay? Next, the à la carte charge them double rule happened here. Our bill was properly done with 20% tip because the service was great. Ended up at $54.00. What Perkins has done especially if you are not a "regular customer" is pad the bill. I like the food here; Average American fare. I like that this location retains its 1990's atmosphere. The service can be improved at time when it is busy. With how customers treat employees and how much employees may earn on hourly wages a cashier job at Target is better. Prices at any Perkin's in the area are going to be high. I am not sure why this Perkins receives such bad reviews. We visited on Veteran's Day and it was packed and they were short on staff. Our server was working so hard she probably wore out the soles of her shoes. But she was very efficient and anticipated refills and kept everything moving. She even asked if I wanted my muffin in a bag to go (it came with my meal). The food was very good. My husband had the Magnificent Seven and I had the Bacon Benedict and they were both fine. We love this Perkins location! The food is always hot and tasty, and the service is pretty quick even when they're super busy on a weekend morning. We've always had friendly servers. Portions are very generous, the orders always come out right. Baked goods are delicious, of course. My husband loves the country fried steak, and my current favorite is the big country skillet. It's about $1.50 to add a side of pancakes - so I always do that as well! Can't beat fresh pancakes! All in all, Perkins always hits the spot if you're craving some good breakfast food. read more

Dude give bob a fricking raise. Was very kind and also very observant! He noticed my older brother did not have any utensils so he went to grab some without us even asking for any! And he did the same with giving us more napkins! The food was also incredible and very yummy, the French fries are amazingly seasoned. This Perkins is one of my favorites! I had a lot of fun times here growing up and anytime I go back I still love it. My only complaint is that corporate decided to get rid of half apps, which was my favorite thing to get with friends late at night. Ha ha sleep in their lot last night near the dumpster in our semi. We came in for breakfast and it was fabulous. Our waitress was awesome and had my coffee and orange cranberry muffin a comin' for me. It was actually pretty busy in there this morn. We love the pot pie but it was only 10 am and those come out at 11 ... so breakfast it was. I ordered the 55+ 2 item omelet bacon, paper jack and for 50 cent extra per item mushrooms. My muffin was an option with that meal perfect! Coffee it good and they bring u a pot too. Bf had two porkchop with fruit and pancakes. When he got it it had hash browns and no fruit.. oh well he just didn't eat the potatoes. Ha ha but the chops were very thick and juicy that I had to try them. Yes very good. We frequently visit our neighborhood Perkins, I have been a fan of Perkins for nearly 50 years. Always enjoyed going there when I was a kid and I still do, I have moved since but there seems to always be one nearby. We have been going to the one down the block and have waiters & waitresses that we alway get spectacular service from. Good food & service & friendly staff along with good menu choices keeps us coming back. As with any restaurant there have been a few disappointments but they always make it right.overall I am satisfied and I will continue to patronize them. read more

It's fine. I know that doesn't really describe my experience, but that's just the simple truth. Not fantastic, not terrible. What I like about Perkins in general is the cost. You get a large portion for a low price, and it's pretty tasty food all things considered. Although since Perkins is a chain, I expect an update in their appearance. They all have had the same carpet, trim, lighting, etc for as long as I can remember. It's outdated and needs a face lift. Our waitress was also outdated. Slow, overly talkative when she WAS finally checking in on us, and would rather engage in gossip with her coworkers than make sure we were being taken care of. I'm going to continue to come back because of the food, but there are 30+ places on my list of restaurants I would go to first. Great place for a quick meal and some coffee. Coffee has been a tad but to strong the last couple times though. We come here quite often when we do not feel like cooking breakfast/lunch/dinner. It's not the best food you have ever had and it's not going to blow your mind either..but it is consistent and the staff is super friendly. DO sign up for their texts, we received one today for $5 burger and fries with the purchase of a drink! Not bad considering they are usually around $10. Their menu changes with the seasons so there is usually something new to try, they are awesome with our 7 year old and make him feel pretty special. We have had previous bad experiences at this Perkins and were willing to give it another shot but we will not be coming here again due to the consistent bad food and bad service. This time my wife and I sat down and after ordering waters our waiter disappeared for 25 minutes. Just as we were considering whether to leave she finally stopped by to take our order. After we ordered we waited another 20 minutes for our food while the waiter served other tables with far more attentiveness than she gave us. Other tables that ordered after us got their food first. Perkins is a very standard americana breakfast, sandwich, and dinner spot, there is really nothing super spectacular about it food-wise. Everything we've had there has been good. They have a cheap menu that holds some quite good food: the Meatloaf Melt is really quite awesome, as is their Grownup Grilled Cheese (with Bacon, Tomato and Avocado!). Other favourites of mine include the Tangler Burger, Kickin' Chicken, and their Ruben Melt. They have a Tomato Basil Soup that is absolutely wonderful (I daresay it is the best thing they offer, it is *that* *good*! Dad likes their pot roast and grilled salmon, when he isn't eating just whatever I order. Mom likes the eggs benedict, and very often orders from their specials menu, which rotates every month or so, but quite often it is something in a breakfast vein (eggs, country potatoes, and then shtuuff). We go here quite often as it's really convenient for us after Wednesday water color class day. They often have our regular table awaiting us, and the staff are just super delightful and accommodating. Something we find enjoyable are the wee kids that come in with their parents. I came to Perkins with my friends, and 3/5 of us were buying things, and the other 2 of us had just eaten. The waiter (older blonde female) said if we don't order, we can't sit with our friends, and accused Us of planning "to drink her creamer, and eat her jelly." so me and my friend had to leave, after she also said she would call the cops to curfew us. Me and my friend did nothing impolite to her, and gave no attitude, but she continued to threaten us, even before we could just comply. Leaving a review for the time that the staff left the customers to die. It was a rainy night in apple valley when we decided to grab some food at the local Perkins. The night was going per usual except that they don't give out straws unless asked due to shortage. Also out of pie on free pie monday?! Unreal. Fast forward to after dinner. We had eaten our dinner and waiting on the check to come (little did I know that would not come) I got up to see if I could find a server and to my surprise the fire department was in the kitchen dealing with an emergency and no wait staff to be found. Come to find out they all were told to evacuate the building and get everyone out. Everyone except for the customers apparently. I guess the wait staff didn't want a line at the door when we were supposed to leave so they decided to save themselves instead. All in all I expect nothing more or nothing less out of the staff. 0/10 do not recommend. If covid doesn't get me apparently a family dinner at the local Perkins will. read more

Terrible water! Like please get a water softener it's 2018. Also every single waitress i've had is rude,mean and cranky. They yell at everyone for everything. If you can't handle customer service at a restaurant, then don't work here. Really irritating to go here and always be scared of how the waitresses will treat you. I'm literally sitting in the restaurant as I write this... it took over 10 minutes to even have our server acknowledge us, the food is AWFUL, and the service is even worse. We had to ask multiple times to get a straw, syrup and our server could give two s***s about us. We had to flag her down many times and after I asked for a slice of pie and after waited 10 minutes I told her to just forget it since I didn't want to wait another 15 minutes.
