Ok....reminds me of Friendlys back east. More seating than staff. I think the average age of the people eating there is 75. Is that because it's close to the Goodwill????? Anyway....huge menu and good service. The food was pretty good. The omelettes are tiny. My wife got one and was done in 4 bites!!! It was free pie Monday so that was nice. I don't plan on eating there again because I'm not usually in Billings.

I had a delightful breakfast here I stopped in for nostalgia's sake, as I had eaten here a number of times as a kid back in 1990. My server was awesome, and we had a great time chatting. The breakfast was stellar and the coffee was good. But what meant most was my server, and how special she made me feel, and how much care she put into making sure I had a great meal and experience.

Food was really good. Had the California Benedict and it was excellent. Would have been 4 stars but for the hair in the food. That kind of distracted from the meal even though I moved the hair to the edge.

Perkins is like an upscale Denny's, not much more of an upscale but a little bit more. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Meals are not bad. If you are hungry and looking for something to hold you over. This is a good place to eat. The place wasn't very crowded for the lunchtime rush. I will say this, their pot roast melt was very good and had great flavor and the meat was tender. You also have to get some dessert from their in-store bakery. Very fresh and good as well. Not very impressed but also not disappointed.

Friendly and steady but not overly busy. For fans of Perkins, if your experience is consistent with mine, then you will not be disappointed. Food was spot on and server was awesome.

We ended…read moreup here because we needed something open late and their kitchen was open till 11 which is not common it seems in Billings. If you're an iced tea drinker, I highly recommend getting a spiced iced tea. I was skeptical at first, but it's actually just cinnamon iced tea and was lovely. I had the nachos with ground beef. The sauce was not a generic out of the can sauce. the chips were crisp and the ground beef was well seasoned. The only complaint I have if I have to have one is that the jalapeños were very thickly sliced and took over the entire flavor of any bite they were in; a smaller dice on them would've allowed for the jalapeños to be spread out over the entire nacho and not overwhelm the rest of the flavors. My companion had the mushroom Swiss burger with fries and said they were both a solid burger and fries no complaints. Wheelchair accessibility: accessible parking across the street with a crosswalk; the front door is heavy so you're gonna either need help or be able to open a heavy door and there's actually two doors but plenty of room to maneuver between. the path of travel wasn't bad and there's wheelchair accessible seating in the back of the restaurant. There is no wheelchair accessible seating in the bar area. The bathroom door was light .The accessible stall in the women's bathroom had a grab bar, but there was not sufficient turning radius and the soap was up a little high.

We ordered two burgers, which were fairly average and not quite what you might expect from a high-end steakhouse. That said, the fries were excellent--crispy, well-seasoned, and easily the highlight of the meal. At first, the burgers seemed fine, just not particularly memorable. However, as we continued eating, they became noticeably dry. We also realized that the cheddar cheese was missing from both burgers, and my wife's avocado was also not included. We later learned that condiments like mayo, ketchup, mustard, etc. are provided only upon request on the side, which would have been helpful to know upfront. My wife and I were engaged in a good conversation and our waitress was busy but still attentive, so it wasn't until we were most of the way through the meal that we discovered the issues. When we brought it to Louisa's attention she contacted the manager who was very understanding and kindly credited the burgers from our bill, which we appreciated and felt was more than fair. Tonight we were simply in the mood for a lighter, more casual dinner, and while the burgers missed the mark, the overall experience and service still reflect a restaurant we would return to.

Restaurant was about half full of diners and there were several servers on staff. We were seated quickly and our very friendly server attended to us just as quickly. Got drinks ordered and allowed us a few minutes to decide. We did ask for some suggestions and she nailed them for us from appetizers to salad choice and entrees. My sandwich was really good. Seasoned very strongly and matched well with the au jus. Fries were crispy and delicious as well. One of my employees ordered the bacon wrapped meatloaf. I didn't try that but did take a few of his brussel sprouts - easily the best brussel sprouts I've ever had. Rich and buttery but still with a nice crunch from the char. So good! Other guy ordered the Sockeye and it looked perfect (he ate the whole plate so I know it was!) Vibe was cool also. Dark woods, cool lighting, comfortable seating. Ok, so, we started with crab cakes and oysters. The oysters were East Coast oysters and I'm from NY, so I had to get them. I haven't had raw oysters in over 20 years, and these did not disappoint! They were so delicious, I ordered 4 more, but they only had one more of the one I wanted, and I happily took it. The crab cakes were good, too. So maybe we should have quit while were ahead.... It took an hour to get our meals, and when we did, I was unimpressed. Mine was slopped onto the plate, with mashed potatoes smeared on the side and the sauce dripped on sides of the inside of the rimmed plate. The potatoes looked congealed, like they had been sitting out, and they had, because the food was cold. I asked for it to be heated up, and I'm fairly convinced they microwaved it, because the plate was warm, but the food still wasn't. The steak was extremely salty, potatoes gluely, and the broccolini was bitter and woefully under seasoned. My husband offered to switch plates. He has the pasta, which was also not very good, but at least it was hot. The description said andouille sausage, but it was clearly kielbasa, and the sauce was greasy and separated. Who hired these so-called chefs? Where did they get their degree? Do they even have one? We go out to eat so rarely. I'm a fantastic cook myself, so when we go out, we want the food we order to be better than what I can make at home. Especially at $30 a plate. So, alas, they get 2 stars, for the excellent service, the delicious oysters, and the beautiful ambiance. They apologized profusely and took my horrible dinner off our bill. We are so grateful for that. We will be back for a pretzel. And more oysters.
