We loved the food here! Amazing portions, delicious taste, and great price. The waitlist didn't take too long, and they texted us when our table was ready. We explored the nearby shops, and loved the Three Bears Store. Our service was prompt, and our waitress was efficient. She gave us pointers for the menu, and explained how you could upgrade the plain pancakes to specialty ones (which I would recommend!) We didn't have to wait long for the food at all! I really loved the crepes and the bananas fosters French toast is a must try! Payments is diner style, when they give you the receipt and you go to the front cashier to pay & tip. Very homey atmosphere with all the wood, felt like a cozy cabin!

The renovated interior and exterior are clean and pretty, for sure! Food is pretty basic. Service is fine, no complaints. Lots of parking and seating.

We had breakfast here as a party of seven. We waited 40 minutes for seating but there are lot of stores nearby to kill time while waiting. It was worth the wait. All of our food was delicious. I ordered the mountain berry crepes and if I could have taken the leftovers home with me I would (was visiting from out of town). The bacon was good but not cooked hard enough for me. Everybody really enjoyed their meals and we would all come back again.

My wife's breakfast. She couldn't eat it all but loved it.

After joining the waitlist online before driving to the restaurant, we were seated immediately upon arrival at a high top in the bar area. I enjoyed the chill vibe. Our server was attentive, friendly, and helpful. I ordered the Hawaiian Ribeye. Our server said it was his favorite thing on the menu and I could see why. The steak was cooked perfectly. It was marinated in pineapple ginger sauce and then basted with teriyaki. It was absolutely juicy and delicious. I highly recommend this steak, which rivals the steaks at any of those over-priced steakhouses. The steak came with a salad and I chose the house lemon dressing. I continue to dream about this creamy, slightly salty dressing. They should definitely bottle it and sell it! I chose a baked sweet potato for a side and it was huge and unfortunately not cooked through, but I enjoyed the fully cooked parts. My husband ordered the Killin Me Burger, a full pound of meat with onion straws and thousand Island dressing on a brioche bun. He said it was the best burger he's ever had and my man knows his burgers! The bun was struggling, so my only suggestion is a sturdier bun. A really magnificent meal at a fun place! I've put it on my favorites list.

The space is nice and there's a good number of items on the menu. I liked my sandwich! Well made and the bread was nice and crispy. The service wasn't the best, though, as our waitress was super pushy. Also, the silverware all came dirty - and not just stained, we could physically pick food off of the knives. Probably would not return here.

Maybe "pet tolerant", but not "friendly": - hostess was visibly & audibly afraid of dogs. We have two sweet chocolate labs, not exactly menacing creatures. Why in the world would you send a dog-fearing employee to get us seated? - we expected an offer of a water bowl for our pups. Nope. Had to find a server and ask for one. - the outdoor area we sat at is enclosed & gated. A door separates this outdoor area from the inside dining room. In spite of this, 10 minutes after being seated, a separate employee came out and simply said "do yall have leashes?" 1- of course we do, you saw us walk them in. 2- no greeting or "hey, I'm blah blah"... cold & impersonal. 3- why bother with the cost of a gated enclosure if pets have to be leashed anyway? We've been to many pet-friendly restaurants. You are NOT pet-friendly. You happily took our money for the meal, and added a 20% gratuity yourselves (which was not earned btw), but you barely did enough to accommodate our pups, let alone be considered "friendly". We didn't feel they were welcome, and certainly no "friendly" environment experienced. We won't be back. See how Calhouns defines "pet friendly". Y'all might learn something. To diners with pups: You want "pet friendly"? Skip this place.

Family style dining means diners order for the table, so it is perfect for families and couples. As a solo diner, I treated my self to The Albany (choose 2 entrees and 3 sides) and the portions were downsized perfectly. Starting with the buttered bacon topped cheddar biscuits, it was satisfying enough to be my meal alone. They are scrumptious too! I chose the Southern Meatloaf and Bourbon Glazed Chicken (with rice) as the entree's and for the sides, mashed taters, cole slaw, and green beans. Everything was delicious (so much so, I bought a couple of jars of the bourbon sauce to take home) and I so wished I could have taken leftovers for later but at The Kitchen, doggie bags are not an option. My server, Amber, seemed to be having an off day and it happens. Service was a little slow with placing my lunch order and getting beverage refills. Truly recommend the sweet peach tea...it is a wonderful bottomless beverage. Don't forget to make time to stroll thru the store before heading out. So many cute, color coordinated kitchen supplies available for purchase! Another place where the goodies make great gifts.
