So this was my second time coming to this location in Painesville, OH. Each time I've come with my mother-in-law she comes here pretty regularly. The customer service is consistent. We actually has the same way each time. She is very efficient and sweet never messes up our order and she's very strong because she carried all the plates on that tray and she didn't drop anything. My angler burger I really enjoyed the crunchy onions could've used more barbecue sauce, but that's neither here nor there. The taste was very good. My children enjoyed the kids and Mills. They only had a little bit of food left, which is unusual because they complain a lot, and I love that. They also had the crayons for the kids to color with which kept them busy. I just wanna say that the carrot cake was so good. I took my mother-in-law's advice and we tore that cake up. Also, my daughter said that the cinnamon roll was damn near delectable and my son thoroughly enjoyed the sugar and chocolate chip cookies. read more

This place, Painesville, Ohio location, used to be the go to place before Covid, now they jumped on the Biden get rich band wagon and cut their portion sizes by 50% from before. They happily raised all their menu prices though! The management is terrible, and the corporate office is unreachable. On May 31 I ordered breakfast to go and my meal looked like something someone packed up at the table to go home with. Basically looked like leftovers. When I called several managers they did not help me, or offer to remake me a new meal. I tried to call corporate, and even got a case number ( 482724) and waited to hear back from a supervisor who never called me back. I've called several times, but all the customer service rep tells me is that they can't transfer me to anyone. Nobody is available to do anything. She said a supervisor would call me back, but here I am 6 weeks later and NOTHING! I called back this morning and the rep just wanted to open another case number. Back to square one I guess. No thank you! I'm tired of these businesses not being on top of matters, and caring enough about their customers.There are other places to choose from like First Watch, Bob Evans and plenty of other restaurants that do reply and care. Do yourself a favor, Boycott this awful JerkOff establishment! read more

If I could give 1/2 star only, I would. Haven't been here in at least 1 year because their food was horrible. Gave them another chance tonight and should have not come here. Hubby and I ordered potato pancakes, mine with bacon and his with sausage links. Butter for potato pancakes consisted of whipped spread (vegetable oil margarine) which completely ruined the pancakes. My bacon was like 2 thin strips of beef jerky and hubby's sausage links were not completely cooked. Will definitely not be coming back!!!! My wife and I went for lunch a few weeks ago. A Wednesday I believe. Seated right away, waitress appeared soon after , put in our order about twelve o five. About 40 minutes later we got our order! Wonder what happened? No update why we had to wait so long! People across from us got their meal in about 10 minutes. When our food arrived I asked waitress why so long. No eye contact, looked around the dining room and said, well there r customers here and left. So after ruining our meal I emailed Perkins , few days later still no reply so I did again. About a week later I got a phone call from a manager at Perkins . She apologized for our poor experience. Stated waitress forgot to enter our order. Apologized! Told her of course our lunch was ruined, we were upset. No offered. So we will not go there again. Bad waitress bad management practices. Too bad. read more

No stars is what I really want to rate this place. Arrived here today at 6:25pm, order was taken at 6:38pm, 7:04pm and still no food. Everyone who was seated after us received food as well, waitress didn't care to update us on our order which was french toast, sausage, eggs, and a burger with fries. Quick and easy to make. Nice walk in and pick bakery item choices from cookies to muffins and pies. The chocolate walnut brownie was dense and unremarkable although nice and moist. Came in for breakfast on Memorial Day and the lady yelled at us for not having a mask on. We decided to leave because of how rude she was to us and then continued to yell "it's the LAW!" as we were walking out. So they said I don't have to wear underwear but I have to wear a mask? I stopped in with my girlfriend for lunch. We were seated right away. We decided to order from the smokehouse menu. I got the BBQ pulled pork, slaw and fries, she got the brisket with baked beans and tots. We cut our sandwiches in half so we could share. The brisket was very good. The pulled pork was a bit peppery for my taste. The slaw tasted like it was missing something so I salted it and it was a little better, but I've had better. The baked beans were nothing special. The server never came back to check on us to see if we needed anything and didn't offer to refill drinks until we were done eating. This was only our second time there. Terrible customer service. Absolutely terrible. One of the waitresses in particular is extremely rude. I cannot figure out why she is there every morning when she is so rude to customers. Managers do not seem to care or be handling it properly. Food is OK. Sometimes it's good - sometimes it's bad. Cleaning needs to be amplified. The floors, windows, and counters are always dirty. For whatever reason, this is the best Perkins I've been to. Food is good and staff can get you in and out. I always get mozzarella sticks because they are actually really crisp and portion size is nice. Chicken noodle soup and basically any breakfast dish are also favorites. read more

My parents, sister and I had dinner at Perkins tonight. Our server (forgot his name, hair parted down the middle) was a very attentive and friendly young man. I ordered the broccoli chicken and bacon pasta dish. It was delicious!!!! The rest of my family members enjoyed their meal too. It has been a few years since eating here and I like the updated decor. I went to the Farmers Market on the square in Painesville and wanted somewhere to sit, read and eat lunch. Car GPS says Perkins is a mile away! Lived here over a year and never knew that. It is tucked away on a very quiet part of Mentor Ave. Service is nice and friendly. Food would do the chain proud. In my last two visits we have had lemon blueberry pancakes, fish and shrimp and half a ham swiss sandwich w chicken noodle soup and chocolate French silk pie. Plus I took muffins home last week. Every bit of it was delish! I will say the broth in the soup was loose gelatin thick but it still tasted good! Highly recommend! read more

We went to Perkins Restaurant for breakfast on Thanksgiving day. First time we been there in years. I ordered a build a breakfast, which included eggs up, bacon, shredded hash browns and whole wheat toast. Wife ordered an omelet. The wait was long, but accepted it assuming that perhaps they had a shortage of kitchen help due to the holiday. Bottom line, both breakfasts were warm, not hot. The food was more like buffet or cafeteria style since each portion lacked freshness. Bacon lukewarm & chewy, eggs the same, toast cold tough & chewy with a layer of butter which caused me to use my napkin to dabbed the excess off. Not impressed at all.
