This place hasn't had the blessing to take the spot of worst food I've ever had, but second to worst. The price and what we got was not justified at all. I got the steak and pepper skillet and the meat tasted old and reheated it was grey. The gravy in it was just microwaved thick slurry and the mushrooms, some were cold and raw and some were cooked. The onions in it were just a soft sloppy mush that were overcooked. My mother got the grilled salmon that looked nothing short of a prison meal. The beans looked canned. My girlfriend got a sirloin steak which was the only thing that was cooked made to order that entire night. We tried the 10$ burger deal too and was all just straight water that looked like it was boiled. The pie even tasted old like it had freezer burn and was absolutely stiff. This is just an average diner. It is clean and average. The service was ok but nothing special. The servers were friendly when we saw them but nothing special attentive. In fairness I don't think there were enough on to take care of everyone. The food was ok, nothing special. The pancakes were not great. Good enough to eat but not something we would come back for. Then as we were eating a person at our table found a hair in her food. We waved someone over and they exchanged it. However no one came over to apologize (like a manager) and no one even offered anything such as comping that meal. In the end it was open on a Sunday but that was all it really had going for it! read more

Perkins, shame on you for having the worst dinner I have had in a long time. The giant shrimp was microscopic in nature, and the food was lukewarm. Your brown gravy takes a high water mark for being the worst I have ever tasted it. This restaurant consistently is closed during business hours and has a waitress named Shawna who yells at customers and other waitresses. I watched her yell at a blind woman who was simply ordering what she normally orders. I won't return until she's gone. read more

I loved the food here, the pancakes I ordered were unnecessarily fluffy and the service was amazing, the small Asian girl was so hyper and brought an amazing vibe to the whole restaurant! We came across this absolute gem while looking for someplace to grab breakfast (served all day here). Service was excellent, all their food is made from scratch, and everything was very reasonably priced. What we ordered looked just as good as the photos on the menu and tasted even better. The whipped cream atop both the croissant French toast and pancakes was thick and paired perfectly with the glazed strawberry topping (totally worth the $0.99 to add it to my spouse's non-seasonal entrée). I ordered my hashbrowns as extra crispy and unlike at most places, I was totally satisfied. It was a late Friday night after some little dude baseball in Valley so we were HUNGRY. We wanted something low-key so Perkins was perfect for our group. Bobbi Jo took AMAZING care of us. Give that girl a high five for me! She was quick on our drinks and made us laugh. I ordered a ham & cheese omelette, but it came out "Hamlette" and we laughed all night about it! Def. a new way to order a H&C omelette lol. Other table orders were Country Fried Steak, and a garlic shrimp dish. All of it was delish. We had no complaints and I was very thankful for you guys feeding our baseball players! Pros - Huge Parking Lot, Smiley Service, BREAKFAST. Oh, PS. Ask for strawberry lemonade sorry no strawberries ask for potato cheese soup sorry we don't have any so I ordered the roast beef melt it was indeed a roast beef melt it had Roast Beef in every third bite. Waitress never offered to refill our water glasses or our drinks and while we were sitting there trying to eat a man was up in the ceiling fixing something with dirt falling down on the floor. I don't know why I've avoided this restaurant for so long, but I was pleasantly surprised by on point flavors. Pot roast sandwich.. sounded interesting. To be honest, it was delicious...had crispy bits, good Parmigiano crusted bread, needing no extra seasoning and with au jus? I wanted more when I finished. There's not much to say about large chain restaurants, the menus and decor are dictated by the corporate HQ. That really just leaves the service and cleanliness to be reviewed. This place is A-OK. It's somewhat of a tradition for us to stop at this Perkins when we're passing through. Service is polite and efficient. I kind of think of this place as the Idaho version of Dee's. You know you'll get a solid breakfast and a great milkshake at these type of places. One thing that I really like about Perkins is that at the very front of the dining room they have their baked goods on display, which can be a huge temptation. I gave in and got one of their brownies, and it was very good. There's a competing restaurant across the street (Sherrie's or something). Looks like pretty much the identical clientele and menu. I'd like to see these two get into a Westside Story-style snap off to battle for supremacy. read more

This was our post wedding brunch location and it was just ok. I ended up getting the chorizo flat because I wasn't too hungry. It was pretty good given the diner type food here. I was with a large group of people and they also enjoyed aspects of there food. I will say that I was a bit frustrated with the lack of service after getting here later than my other friends. We weren't aware that the mother of the bride and groom were going to pay for the group. We asked for a separate check to pay for our two person meal. While it wasn't a huge deal, we would have appreciated the waitress saying something and perhaps adding our bill to the whole group. It was odd that we were the only ones that paid when she could have easily added it to the group bill. It was a convenient place to eat at but I don't think I'll be going back here anytime soon. read more

The Staff is the reason for 4 stars. Standard Perkins Fare and well done even then. Clean well cared for establishment. However, the staff made the difference. They fielded a crew of 25 kids and 16 adults, some with special dietary needs, with grace, excellent service, in a timely fashion, with only a miniscule commical mistake. The staff made the visit worth it! After an experience at a dive across the street from them, we're eating there again. Thanks Guys! read more
