Have a good review but lately I find many certain people propping their phones watching tv or FaceTiming with out ear buds totally destroying meal. Becoming a Taco Bell or McDonald's. Signs need to be put up and workers need to tell them to stop it. Wife and I would go 4 times a week being retired. Now only go when we get 2 for one sent to us. I find the waitresses especially the younger on very good while the older ones normally on the left side of eatery slow and tired looking. Ate here yesterday and this morning I woke up with diarrhea and severe stomach cramps!!! I ordered a salad which only had tomatoes, croutons, and cheese. Since I don't like croutons and tomatoes I had the salad with lettuce and cheese. I asked for ranch dressing and it was drowned in it. The dressing was so salty I didn't eat much of the salad for fear it would raise my high blood pressure. I ordered chicken fried steak and it was decent but the loaded baked potato was so salty I could not eat it. My husband ordered the prime rib dinner with broccoli and mashed potatoes. Ten minutes later after we landed at our next stop he had rush to the bathroom because he had an upset stomach with diarrhea. I won't be going there again that's for sure. Came here for Veterans Day celebrating veterans. A free magnificent seven breakfast is given to all veterans. This is great for all veterans. Perkins really cares about the veterans and we certainly appreciate their support and remembering the sacrifices of what veterans have done and are doing for this nation. My husband and I went to Perkins on Saturday, March 4, 2023. I previously wrote a review about Perkins but being that I switched phones I lost all of my reviews I had did 48 all together and 71 photos but I have to start all over again and I had just become Elite only to lose all of that. In my old review I said that we would give them another chance I'm sure glad that we sure did everything was excellent this time around!!!! My husband ordered the Hungry Man's Combo he ate everything but the pancakes those were taken home. I enjoyed my food also I ordered the BB 3 pigs which was very very good my only complaint was that they definitely didn't look the same way as they were on the menu. On the menu you can see the Sausage that is wrapped around the pancakes. What I got was pancakes and I had to ask myself where was the little piggies you had to go searching for them. The Server Andres that we had was very very excited to do his job and excellent at doing his job the right way He smiled and laughed with us he asked us for our order in a polite manner. He brought us our food and also brought us ketchup without us even having to ask for it How often do you hear that usually you have to ask for everything that you want. Just okay was our general consensus. Ambiance was okay, clean but very busy decor. Too many pictures on the wall. Service was okay too. Nice enough, bordered on the slow side. Not overly friendly but pleasant enough. Food was okay. Had the half sandwich with soup and dessert. We both had the roast beef sandwich, I had chicken noodle soup but wanted tomato basil that was replaced with tortilla soup that day. My husband liked it. Whenever I want breakfast after 11 a.m., I know perkins will always come through. We had a big party of 10 on this trip. Our waitress was awesome and hustled to make sure everything was great, from refilling drinks to getting the food served. I got the French toast stack. It was very good with the perfect amount of cinnamon on it. It comes with 2 eggs and bacon, which was cooked just how I like it, and I added toast onto it. It was more than enough food. This 'miss' I hoped would have been a 'hit.' It was Monday, June 18th, we were following a lead that gas was being sold for less than $20 a gallon in the area. Our search was fruitless and exhausting, bringing us to a red light at an intersection where a Perkins had been located. My wife suggested that we stop in for lunch before continuing our day of shopping, and I concurred. My name is Jacob, I'm a Yelper, I carry a fork. We'd only been in a Perkins two or three times in our lives, having completely forgot that they even still existed. After being seated, our waitress queried us about a choice of beverages. Coffee was my choice, and a raspberry lemon aid caught my wife's fancy. There was no need to wait to order, we knew what we wanted. Since Perkins is famous for its breakfast, I chose a short stack with sausage patties. My wife went for the cheeseburger platter. The waitress was very friendly and attentive, returning with our beverages in short order. One of the good things about Perkins is the 'bottomless' carafe of coffee. Unfortunately, the quality of that coffee lacks. Apparently, in their efforts to provide all the coffee you can drink, they serve it watered down with very little taste. My wife did enjoy the lemonade, and not acknowledging it would be wrong of me. Now came our orders. The short stack was just as advertised, 'short.' Unfortunately for me, Perkins defines 'short' as 'midget' The pancakes were pathetic, all three of them. Paper-thin, grisly in texture, and overcooked. I suspected that they weren't freshly prepared, but rather defrosted from a pouch, but I can't say that for sure. The sausages were just fine, but the size of a silver dollar (For anyone still alive who can remember what a silver dollar looked like.) They'd been better off if they served the dish on a plate half the size. Presentation means alot, but it would seem that my order had ...no meaning. Out of 5 stars, I'd give this plate a 1. My wife fared no less, with her order being just as abysmal as mine. That brings me to something amusing. How many of you criticize your orders but when the waitress or waiter asks you if everything is Okay, you smile and say 'fine'? My wife just finished berating the burger in her hand as a tasteless, overcooked lump of cow flesh, but the second the waitress asked how her burger was she said 'very good.' Then I got the 'Tina death stare,' (as I call it) when she asked me if I liked my order. I was polite, but honest using one single word, 'nope.' She was VERY nice and offered to get me a fresh stack and let the manager know, but as I said, Perkins wasn't on our list of things to do and our stopping was a 2-second decision made on the spot, so I just wanted to get back on the road. If it wasn't for the excellent staff and immediate offer to replace my order with something else, I would have given them 1 star. The boost in ratings to a 2 star was earned for a few reasons. First of all, we only had two dishes off their menu, and the menu had a nice selection of different dishes. Second, the staff was 100% on their game. Third, the place is clean, well lit, presenting a pleasant atmosphere for dining. Fourth, I can't slam the place for what might have been the mistake of somebody in the kitchen. My husband and I walked in and waited on line until it was our turn we asked for a booth for two we were brought to our table. The guy that sat us down at the table asked us if we wanted anything to drink my husband asked for a water and coffee I asked for tea with honey. The coffee was brought and also the tea with honey the water wasn't. The waitress asked us for our order my husband ordered 2 eggs sunny side, Canadian Bacon, and fruit. I ordered scrambled eggs with sausage for a change because I always have bacon and it came with 3 pancakes. My husband ate one of his eggs the other he couldn't eat he ate some of his Canadian Bacon and some fruit he wound up not feeling well he didn't have the water at the table because it was never brought I asked the waitress for water for him she brought the water they used to bring water to the table now you always have to ask for it. He said the Canadian Bacon tasted horrible the fruit was even more horrible he couldn't even eat the fruit. My food was also horrible the scrambled eggs had no taste even after putting salt and pepper on the eggs the pancakes I had to put so much syrup just to eat them the sausage was the best to eat out of the whole breakfast. I enjoyed the tea and honey because my throat is very sore. We have eaten at Perkins before in the past and never had a problem until today. We will give them another chance. read more

I was very impressed with perkins restaurant, I haven't been here in years but I'm glad I came to this location and from now on this is my go to for breakfast or any quick meal for lunch. I thought this was going to remind me of Ihop or Denny's. I have to say it's better because i tasted freshness nothing processed or frozen and served so nicely. Our waiter Dylan was so polite and friendly. I wouldn't mind if he served us again for the next time, it was like he knew what I wanted and how I wanted it to be plated. I dont like messy servings nor an over load of sauce or food. Dylan knew exactly how to bring my dish. I ordered the strawberry croissant, two eggs and bacon. Omg!!!! YUMMMMY!!! that croissant was so delicious and the special sauce they had on it was very good, as well as everything else. I'm looking forward to going back! No more IHOP or Denny's for me. After a long day of traveling something that wasn't fast food sounded great. We ordered our meals online for pickup as the restaurant was very busy. The staff seemed as though they were uninterested in working much but we received our order quickly. Unfortunately they forgot a large salad, the mashed potatoes tasted instant, the food wasn't very warm, the stuffing was significantly over cooked, and the turkey gravy tasted very off (tried scraping it off of everything and it wasn't even what was ordered). However, the turkey was tender and the other salad that we did get, the ingredients seemed very fresh. This was very surprising as Perkins is usually a decent meal. This most recent time I went for breakfast and we were there around 9:00 am on a Saturday before it got super crowded. I ordered the build your own breakfast with two eggs over medium, two sausage patties, breakfast potatoes and two pancakes. The eggs were fine, the sausage patties were a little over done, the breakfast potatoes were so over- fried when you bit into them they crumbled into little tasteless pieces, the pancakes were just too bland and a little hard to cut and I hate that glop of margarine spread on top - I prefer regular butter. Placed a pick up order. Gentleman when I walked in was very nice. Showed me to my bags and off I went. I ordered an ice tea, mash potatoes, meatloaf, asparagus and a slice of lemon meringue pie. Mash was decent, meatloaf was moist and flavorful but, the top was burnt. Burnt black, like charcoal. Asparagus was burnt as well in a lot of spots. Maybe that's why they cut it up. Maybe they cut it up and got rid of the really bad burnt pieces. Maybe a way to camouflage it? For a second there I thought it was cut green beans. Ice tea didn't have a tea flavor. Oh and the pie, it was sad, the tiniest little slice with its insides spewed out. Flavor was nothing spectacular as it tasted like store bought. Hubby had the burger and fries with a slice of crumb apple pie. He described it as "Ehh it's ok. It's just simple. It's not fat and juicy like Dennys". He's quite the apple pie lover. When I asked him how was it he said "It's good but, it's so small. I think they cut it wrong". I laughed and showed him mine. I haven't been to this Perkins in years. When I'm upstate I drive past it all the time. So today I stopped in for a quick breakfast to check it out. Come to find out not much has changed. This Perkins is located on 300. Across from Bank of America and the Mobil station. To the left. Across the street is a stop and shop. This Perkins has a back entrance through the mall parking lot. I came through the back cause more parking spots. The menu is the same as every other perkins I have been to. I do like bob Evans better. But we don't have any around here. So Perkins will do. I ended up ordering a hot tea. To start it came super quick. Then I just ordered 4 eggs scrambled. No cheese nothing with it. The eggs came in about 2 mins. They were very hot and tasted good. I have no complaints. It was a very quick. The waitress I had was very good. She was quick and knowledgeable. Very accommodating. The inside was not really crowded but they had about a quarter of the restaurant filled. Overall. This Perkins has not changed. You can come here to grab a quick bite to eat at a good price. But my grilled cheese was crunchy cheese tasted different it tasted like cheddar cheese and the breakfast potatoes were burned. My husband had the tilapia with shrimps and brown rice.
