Came here for Veterans Day celebrating veterans. A free magnificent seven breakfast is given to all veterans. This is great for all veterans. Perkins really cares about the veterans and we certainly appreciate their support and remembering the sacrifices of what veterans have done and are doing for this nation. The service is always excellent and it's a family atmosphere all the time. Highly recommended when you were in the Newburgh New York area.

Quick service, fresh, hot & delicious food. Staff are friendly & welcoming. Even though we received our check before we finished eating, the server still checked in on us.

This is the way it was in the menu. I had two other photos but they are no longer in my photos

My husband and I went to Perkins on Saturday, March 4, 2023. I previously wrote a review about Perkins but being that I switched phones I lost all of my reviews I had did 48 all together and 71 photos but I have to start all over again and I had just become Elite only to lose all of that. In my old review I said that we would give them another chance I'm sure glad that we sure did everything was excellent this time around!!!! My husband ordered the Hungry Man's Combo he ate everything but the pancakes those were taken home. I enjoyed my food also I ordered the BB 3 pigs which was very very good my only complaint was that they definitely didn't look the same way as they were on the menu. On the menu you can see the Sausage that is wrapped around the pancakes. What I got was pancakes and I had to ask myself where was the little piggies you had to go searching for them. The Server Andres that we had was very very excited to do his job and excellent at doing his job the right way He smiled and laughed with us he asked us for our order in a polite manner. He brought us our food and also brought us ketchup without us even having to ask for it How often do you hear that usually you have to ask for everything that you want. Perkins we will be back again we only had one bad experience.

My husband and I walked in and waited on line until it was our turn we asked for a booth for two we were brought to our table. The guy that sat us down at the table asked us if we wanted anything to drink my husband asked for a water and coffee I asked for tea with honey. The coffee was brought and also the tea with honey the water wasn't. The waitress asked us for our order my husband ordered 2 eggs sunny side, Canadian Bacon, and fruit. I ordered scrambled eggs with sausage for a change because I always have bacon and it came with 3 pancakes. My husband ate one of his eggs the other he couldn't eat he ate some of his Canadian Bacon and some fruit he wound up not feeling well he didn't have the water at the table because it was never brought I asked the waitress for water for him she brought the water they used to bring water to the table now you always have to ask for it. He said the Canadian Bacon tasted horrible the fruit was even more horrible he couldn't even eat the fruit. My food was also horrible the scrambled eggs had no taste even after putting salt and pepper on the eggs the pancakes I had to put so much syrup just to eat them the sausage was the best to eat out of the whole breakfast. I enjoyed the tea and honey because my throat is very sore. We have eaten at Perkins before in the past and never had a problem until today. We will give them another chance.

I was very impressed with perkins restaurant, I haven't been here in years but I'm glad I came to this location and from now on this is my go to for breakfast or any quick meal for lunch. I thought this was going to remind me of Ihop or Denny's. I have to say it's better because i tasted freshness nothing processed or frozen and served so nicely. Our waiter Dylan was so polite and friendly. I wouldn't mind if he served us again for the next time, it was like he knew what I wanted and how I wanted it to be plated. I dont like messy servings nor an over load of sauce or food. Dylan knew exactly how to bring my dish. I ordered the strawberry croissant, two eggs and bacon. Omg!!!! YUMMMMY!!! that croissant was so delicious and the special sauce they had on it was very good, as well as everything else. I'm looking forward to going back! No more IHOP or Denny's for me. Please dont ever disappoint me perkins because I can quickly change my mind

The food was extremely bland. Nothing tasted fresh or homemade. My kids mashed potatoes were cooked in the microwave. Do not recommend.

I used to love Batata and still kind of do love their food but I will never come back…read more On 5/26, I ordered the Zen burger after coming back from the hospital and giving birth to my son a few days earlier. Looking for a burger, I picked the Zen burger which was not listed as having walnuts. I even called the restaurant to confirm this burger was nut free. When I bit into this burger, within 30 seconds, I realized something was wrong when my lips started swelling up and my throat started to close in. My husband called the restaurant back and again asked if the zen burger had walnuts. I was assured that it did not. When I said, please go ask the kitchen, the person on the phone did and confirmed, "oh, it does have a little bit of walnuts in it". I don't think that the people working here understood the severity of this and they offered a refund of the meal that we threw away. Wow, how generous! I spoke to the manager and she just said sorry and that the owner would contact us. We wound up having to go to the hospital over this, after just leaving with our newborn. What a day. It's been a week and my husband has stopped by the talk to the owner but she hasn't been there and has not called, emailed, or done anything since. I don't care if she is busy, it honestly doesn't matter, this is important and I needed some reassurance that this would never happen again to anyone since someone else could have died from this but that never happened. I guess she is just too busy to care. Unfortunately, this is a local business that I used to love but I will never come back and would advise anyone with a food allergy to go somewhere else. The next day they did update the menu and the zen burger now does say "contains walnuts" but it's not reassuring that this will never happen again.

I ordered the veggie burger and my partner ordered the Brie and ham sandwich with a side of broccoli cheddar soup. The veggie burger was perfect in terms of mix of veggies, flavor and freshness and both sandwiches came with a small side of tortilla chips and fresh salsa. We also ordered a side of French fries which were also fresh. Our least favorite thing was the broccoli cheddar soup, which was a little more watery than we would have liked. Others in our party ordered a cheeseburger and an "ah love" chicken sandwich and they liked their food. I ordered a fresh lemonade and it was homemade and tasted great. The food here is very fresh and reasonably priced and very enjoyable overall. We would definitely come back the next time we are here! Warning the parking lot is on the smaller side and there are only about 4-5 tables inside and 2-3 tables on the small outdoor patio.

Sweet enough to cause diabetes and strong enough to cause cirrhosis. 3) Ordered wings. They were crispy on the outside and undercooked on the inside. Felt nauseous after the first three pieces. 4) Everyone inside was drunk and having a great time getting down to late 80's R&B. That's why I stayed outside. I love late 80s R&B. 5) Waiter was lovely, although he did not really have to be. Even if you dine alone, they automatically add an 18% gratuity no matter how terrible the food may be so I would pass on this place going forward. Check came to $60 with only one frozen piña colada and 3 undercooked chicken wings (flats and drums cut in half). It's probably the Co-op City version of CHEERS, without Norm. Unless Norm is the Coop City Security Guard w/vitiligo. 2 out of 10 stars

The Sangria Cafe is quite a place and has excellent service. I had my mind set on ordering…read morenonfortified red sangria, but discovered they only have brandy or other liquor infused sangria they make in small batches. You cannot order a fresh carafe or pitcher of sangria with the fruit in it here, which is what I was expecting from a place headlining sangria. So your experience of the Sangria Cafe for sangria will come down to whether you like yours fortified. I like my sangria freshly made to order with just the wine and chopped fruit, but you may have a better experience at Sangria Cafe if you prefer fortified sangria. So the Manager, Elios, was superb. He told me he would let me taste the red, white and lychee versions to see which one I preferred. Given they are all fortified to an extent, I chose to order margaritas. I prefer mezcal margaritas, but they did not have mezcal at the time. So I went with the tequila classic. It was good and I had it to go for my evening at a cigar lounge. I also ordered food to go: the French cut pork chops with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus and the braised beef short rib with small potatoes and broccoli. Here's a twist: the food was better than the adult beverage at a place emphasizing the latter. At all times, my server, Hector, was superb in his own right. Service is probably the strong suit at Sangria Cafe, followed by the food. The French cut pork chops taste like they have been marinated or at least brined. You will eat these down to the bone and you will pick up those bones to clean them. The garlic mashed potatoes were great too, but the asparagus was a bit overcooked. On balance, this $30 dish was satisfying and would have been better had they included a little gravy on the side for the mashed potatoes. The beef short rib at $38 was even tastier. I appreciate the chef took the time to get a good cut of short rib and trimmed the excess fat down to a leaner cut. The meat is inherently marbled with fat, so the flavor is already going to be as present as the savory tenderness. If you dine at a restaurant where there is excess fat on the beef short rib, know the chef there is not putting in the work to trim all that fat. Coudos to the chefs in the Sangria Cafe kitchen for their trimming work. This is even better than the pork chops and you'll savor every bite. The broccoli was overcooked here, so the chefs could restrain themselves on the cooking time for the veggies. The small potatoes were perfect and what is not to like about marbled beef and potatoes. Here they have a little gravy with cooked onions to add to the savory pleasure. The Sangria Cafe is a great place to come with friends. This place will see lots of action as the weather warms. The atmosphere is upbeat and the music is in full swing. This is a Latino and Afro Latino crowd. The kitchen and service are very good here. Perhaps I'm in the minority preferring nonfortified sangria, but I wish that were an option with the chopped fruit in it. Perhaps the majority prefers the fortified hit, but it would be nice to have it more relaxed with just the wine as summer approaches or at any time of the year. Please keep the mezcal in stock as SOP for the mezcal margs. Thanks to Elios, Hector and the chefs in the kitchen. 3.5 stars.
