Chris and I were looking forward to dining here. We stayed at the National Hotel so we knew it was just across the street from our hotel. We were looking at their menu online and we both agreed to each order the Sorghum-glazed sea bass and we're so glad we did! The fish was flaky and well-seasoned and paired well with the pearl black rice and citrus beurre blanc sauce. It was divine! We had the F5 Kobe beef and calamari for appetizer. I have to say the beef was a little tough but the calamari was perfect! Service was quick and our server was very attentive. The restaurant is huge and very elegant.

We walked in on a Wednesday night and were immediately seated. We ordered drinks, they were delicious and so cute! Our server was amazing, she explained the menu and gave us drink recs as well. I had the chicken and goat cheese pizza which was delicious! It was a nice thin crispy crust so it wasn't too heavy which I liked. The interior is very pretty, loved the seating and the decor. Can't wait to come back and try other items

From the moment I walked in it was incredible. The music that atmosphere the people the guest everybody was Vibing together. Everybody was talking and it was so cool. It was very accommodating and personable. You guys should be packed every night. 10/10 on the bison. The food was incredible!

I really wanted to enjoy this restaurant but out of three tries only one was semi-acceptable, but still below expectations. Each order had its own issues, if this was a quick and cheap meal it may be one thing but for $70+ per order it was overall a disappointing experience. The ambiance is beautiful but the service and execution leaves a lot to be desired. Very very inconsistent food also. If I was not staying at the hotel, I would never try again. I'm hoping it was just an off week.

Excellent! Our first experience wasn't totally great but it was a holiday and just not what we expected. But I am SO glad we gave it another try! It was delicious! The staff was amazing! Loved the look and the food and the service. We will definitely go back. The deviled eggs were tasty! The surf and turf cargot was exceptional! I absolutely loved the brick roasted chicken and whipped potatoes!

Came here with a party of 12. We came during their happy hour time which to note is NOT a discounted menu it is just the oysters, pizza and appetizers available 2-5pm so more of a limited menu. I had called earlier to book for a party of 12 but didn't receive a call back but the staff was extremely accommodating once we did arrive and seated us as a party of 12. The service was spectacular and the food was just okay, all of it was pricey. I was expecting more from the pizza it was extremely thin and had like barely anything on it? Cheese and sauce wise. The scallops were flavorful and cooked well.

"escargot" - mushrooms and cheese appetizer

Quite frankly, we were disappointed with both food and service, particularly since we were so excited to come since we had read up on the chef and wanted to try one of his restaurants. We came here for lunch the day after Christmas and were the first to be seated. The place was otherwise empty and started filling up gradually. Our server was super friendly and sweet, but she failed to mention some important details. For instance, nowhere on the menu did it say that the escargot didn't come with actual escargot. We didn't know, and the server didn't tell us. When the appetizer came it was literally mushrooms with cheese on top and a piece of toast. It tasted okay, but we would never have ordered that for $14 if we had known there was no escargot in it. In addition, the menu didn't mention whether or not the sandwiches came with fries. So we ordered truffle fries as an appetizer, assuming it would have said something if it came with, and ordered a burger and the French dip, both of which ended up coming with the same fries. One would think that the server might mention that there were fries on the side so that we wouldn't need an additional plate full of fries, but that too was not the case. Both burger and French dip were good, but honestly nothing special. We also ordered the salmon, which tasted really good. Everything on that plate was comforting and well-seasoned, but the portion size was very small. If I had only ordered that as my entree and nothing else I would have left hungry. Overall a disappointing experience in terms of expectation vs reality, and also a lack of communication that left us feeling like we just didn't get what we paid for.

Attended an event at Perle Mesta, it was such an amazing experience! From the Parmesan truffle okra to the spiced plantain chips with garlic ranch, everything was so tasty! Chef Black is personable and put a lot of thought put into each section of the restaurant! So happy to have had this opportunity to support a local establishment. We'll be back for dinner!

Cute spot! Certainly still in the early phases but beautiful nonetheless. If you want a good place for a quick drink I recommend this place. Food for value was pretty illogical. The bites were fine but certainly not worth the price. The bee sting drink and Na-groni wete great mocktails! Ryan, our waiter, and the bartender were great also! Very helpful when sitting a party of 12, the event space was private and beautifully set.

Ordered room service after a day of traveling. I ordered a cheeseburger with truffle fries. The burger was very rare, I took one bite and couldn't eat it. I called room service and explained it was too undercooked and they asked how I'd like it cooked. I said I preferred medium well. A new meal was delivered including truffle fries. The burger was cooked the same way. I tried eating around the edges and just couldn't.

Perle Mesta is a wonderful date night or special occasion restaurant. It opened in late June in the Skirven Hotel, a concept of Chef Andrew Black, a James Beard 2023 award winner. The venue is opulent. The decor embraces a mix of orginial building design and appointments with some of the 2007 updates and the more recent updates for Pearle Mesta. The north wall of the main dining room is craved plaster of Chef Black's favorite herbs and spices. The wall is both interesting and stunning. Additional work is ongoing, out of site from the patrons, involving three private dining rooms. We were fortunate to get a "back stage" tour of these dining rooms, escorted by Kaiya. They hope to have the rooms available in the coming months. They also plan to install a library in the restaurant lobby to house Chef Black's culinary book collection. I ordered the sorghum glazed sea bass with black rice in citrus beurre blanc. It was amazing! Jan ordered the citrus fennel-dusted sea scallops in parsnip cream, blood orange reduction, and butternut squash vinegarette. She thoroughly enjoyed the scallops. The service was good. The prices are reasonable. My sea bass was $38. Some of the dishes served to others looked amazing. The only problem was the server being soft-spoken with the background music too loud. Jan had trouble hearing the server, and she has excellent hearing. It was a very nice evening and pleasant dining experience.

Quick shout out to the dinner rolls and butter. I was starving so this held me over while our shareables came out. The Spicy Caesar was nice, loved the hit of heat that came with it. The Chicken Pepperjack Strudel, a signature dish, was really really good. Just wish it was warmer in the center but yea definitely order this. Juan's queso is not a typical queso dish. I came here with a large group of about 8 of us with a reservation made early on. We were seated in a nice, private room and had an overall very lovely experience! First of all, our server Trey was just spot on with all of his recommendations. He recommended the crab cakes, the halibut, and anything that came with the spicy shrimp risotto. Our table got crab cakes to start, and this was probably my favorite dish of the evening! The crab cake was large, fluffy, and full of lump crab topped with a spicy and delicious salsa verde and pico. For the entree I ordered the halibut which was cooked well, but the side of spicy shrimp risotto definitely stole the show (as Trey accurately predicted). Most of our party ordered this and everyone was pretty happy with it! For dessert, our table shared chocolate cake and the coconut creme pie. The chocolate cake was very rich and was probably one of the best chocolate cakes I've had, and I'm not a big chocolate cake person. I still definitely preferred the coconut creme pie, which I would order again next time! Our service was fantastic for the evening, and when Trey tells you to order something, trust him and do it!

It was cold outside but warm and welcoming inside the restaurant and we were seated in a big comfy booth which I appreciated. We were immediately given water and drink orders taken. I got the juicy couture from the y2k menu which was a delicious sweet gin cocktail. The cornbread sticks and whipped butter they bring to the table is soft and salty and sweet and went great with our queso appetizer and my entree. For apps we chose the queso fundido and the tuna tartare. Both came with fresh chips that were puffy and perfectly crispy. I loved the tuna, it had a little bit of everything. Spice, salt, tang, creaminess! That luscious whipped avocado it sits on top of kept everything stuck together and easy to scoop up. The crispy queso was huge so I took the rest home. The cheese pulls were insane! Our table ordered the short rib, the filet, and the shrimp and grits entrees and everyone was so satisfied! My short rib was rich and tender and the red wine sauce was glossy goodness. Plus the gratin potatoes with the crispy edges and tons of cheese made the dish so comforting. Finally they brought me a chocolate cheesecake with a candle in it that reminded me of my mom's homemade fudge. It was divine and just melted in my mouth. Everything was excellent! Highly recommend and I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. FRIDA southwest thank you for starting off my next year with an outstanding meal and a very pleasant experience!

Just don't go here…read more I've lived here for 5 years and by far the worst restaurant experience I have had in Oklahoma, and if you see my other reviews I'm pretty forgiving and tend to give spots the benefit of the doubt. This is a place worth an absolute flaming of a review.... But they already wasted enough of my time and energy today so I'll just summarize. No management on scene, no hostess, one server, two bartenders and a restaurant at 50% capacity on Mother's Day at 1 p.m. From walking in to having our orders taken, 30 minutes. 45 minutes later our order of roasted vegetable salad, steak eggs Benedict, and sourdough toast arrived. Salad was very well burnt but my mom was trying to be nice and didn't want to walk out. Eggs Benedict came out with two eggs boiled through, a hollandaise sauce with a sour smell and cold steak. I didn't eat it and no one seemed to notice, had it removed from my bill easy enough, but again zero F's given and no management showed daylight. Wife's toast actually arrived 5 minutes after the 'rest' of the food and the only thing hot and delicious. Toast here is $11, so there's that. No one cares here. From the health violations and poor food safety I saw in the kitchen, the multiple tables I witnessed sending back food to the multiple parties puzzled as to why they weren't being sat or once they were entirely ignored... it was so wildly bad I was embarrassed for everyone else having the same experience. Again, don't go.
